11th Mar 2018 1st 4/11 – Piton Pete – Oliver Sherwood Warwick

A decent performance under 11-7lbs from Oliver’s horse. Original quote: “Pete finally got his head in front for the first time at Towcester last time out when dropped back in trip on heavy ground, he’s a consistent horse and only once finished out of the first three. He’s got further in his race in the past but we felt he got stayed at Hereford two starts back so that is why we dropped him back in distance on a stiffer track last time Pete is all about confidence so heading here off the back of a good win at Towcester is a big plus. He has been in good order at home since, I always thought that once he got his head in front he would progress. Ground is important to him, he really hits the it hard, so these heavy conditions will suit. Hoping he can follow-up here in what looks a good opportunity for him. Leighton Aspell.”
