5th Mar 2017 2nd 7/1 – Blameitalonmyroots – Oliver Sherwood Huntingdon

A solid second from Oliver’s horse. Original quote: “Blameitalonmyroots: Ruby – as he’s know at home – was brave at Kempton last time out, when winning. Three miles around there was sharp enough for her but she battled back from an unpromising position turning into the straight to win nicely in the end – it was a good effort. She is stepping up in trip today (6f) – Leighton and I both think she will get the trip but we won’t know for sure until she tries it – but certainly worth a crack and runs as if she will. She did run in the Sussex National over this trip at the end of last season but as she was never going that day I have to forgive that effort. Ruby is a lovely big, honest mare who loves her jumping and her work, she has been really happy at home since that race jig jogging all the way back from the downs every day. Up 7lbs today out we head here with another decent-looking chance with the race cutting up a fair bit.”
