Doc Carver ran a cracker to only go down in the dying strides by ½ a length, but the place money was still landed, while the winner – the McCain – horse Fin And Game was the one that eventually beat Henry’s horse.

Tatlisu is another that is well-in at the weights and has a claimer on too so these two are feared. On a plus we know Pearl handles the track here and the return to a mile should be in his favour. Did ok on his first run back at Aintree in October and has come on for that. In good form at home and stays this 2m4f trip well – wants further really so in conditions this will be a plus. Ground a bit of an unknown, but we feel he’ll handle it well.
