Hi,

Get out the party poppers, as the wait for the Cheltenham Festival is almost over folks!

And the good news is, we’ve got a ‘must-see’ CHELTENHAM OFFER below, where you can bet alongside proven services that have shown big profits at the Festival in recent years (more below).

Yes, we are just days away from another Cheltenham Festival – a meeting that the dreaded coronavirus has tried to derail.

Okay, we are not totally in the clear yet – in terms of the meeting getting cancelled – by if the odds are anything to go by then we are looking in a slightly position than a week ago!

With more and more cases coming out by the day – all we can do is keep everything crossed!

If the Festival does get the green light – and let’s hope it does - we are sure to see the odd face mask, some rubber gloves and people creaming hand sanitiser into each other as if it were sun lotion on their hols. However, the great news (well, fingers crossed) is there’s plenty to look forward to.

A few pints of Guinness each day might also help to keep the virus at bay!!

We’ll have it all covered on our blog page through the week – with FREE tips & key TRENDS for ALL the 28 races (more on this below) - while before that, we’ve taken a look at the top trainer, top jockey and the GB v Irish battle too.

However, before the tapes go up on another Cheltenham Festival, we’ve some LIVE ITV racing to take in this Saturday with the cameras heading to Wolverhampton. The BAD NEWS is that today’s Sandown Imperial Cup card was called off yesterday with a waterlogged track so the weekend before Cheltenham only has an average feel to it (sorry Wolverhampton!)

At Wolverhampton they’ve one of their biggest day on the calendar though as they stage the Lincoln Trial (1.35) – with just over £30k on offer to the winner it’s attracted some nice sorts (key trends below).

So - as always, we’ve got it all covered with free tips and all the key trends for the LIVE ITV races.

Enjoy!

Have a Great Weekend

IN FORM KELLEWAY AMONGST THE WINNERS AGAIN………………………We gave her a mention last week and the Gay Kelleway team didn’t disappoint. They fired in another nice winner on Tuesday at Southwell with CAPE GRECO (1st 4/1) powering away to get the job done. The handicapper is sure to have his say, but the horse is clearly thriving at the moment and is loving life on the fibresand surface at Southwell. There are no immediate entries for this improving 5 year-old, but we expect Gay to strike whilst the horse is in form so the upcoming AW meetings will be worth looking at – or simply add the horse to your alerts or trackers. Gay then followed that win up on Thursday – again at Southwell – with her MUKHA MAGIC (1st 5/6) powering away to win easily – on that form looks sure to land the three-timer next time – fingers crossed.

TQ HORSE TO NOTE……………………………….Despite not winning, the Julia Feilden-trained WAR EMPRESS still ran a solid race to be second at Southwell on Saturday. That was the horse’s first try over 2m, but it clearly suited and was only beaten by a 20/1 shot. The pair pulled 1 ¼ lengths clear of the third and finished 18 lengths ahead of the fourth, so the form looks solid for the grade. We can expect Julia to find a similar race for this 4 year-old in the coming week and there should be a lot more opportunities over the longer trip now connections know she stays.

USE THE TQ INFO TO BACK OR LAY - Also, a lot of our members use the TRAINERS-QUOTES info to lay horses as well as back them – there are plenty of angles these days with the betting exchanges!! Or even back other horses in certain races with the trainers also taking about other horses in races they’ve heard good words about!

SATURDAY LIVE ITV RACING FREE TIPS AND TRENDS

WOLVERHAMPTON: It’s Lincoln Trial Day On The AW……….

Wolverhampton Horse Racing Trends (ATR/ITV)

1.35 – Bombardier Golden Beer Lincoln Trial Handicap Cl2 1m141y ITV4

16/17 – Aged 6 or younger
15/17 – Won over a mile (or further) before
14/17 – Had raced within the last 6 weeks
14/17– Won at least three times before
14/17 – Priced 9/1 or shorter in the betting
10/17 – Placed favourites
9/17 – Ran at Lingfield last time out
9/17 – Came from stall 8 or higher
9/17 – Came from outside the top 3 in the betting
7/17 – Aged 5 years-old
7/17 – Had won at Wolverhampton before
5/17 – Won last time out
5/17 – Winning favourites
2/17 – Trained by the Richard Hannon yard
2/17 – Ridden by Jamie Spencer
Zwayyan (7/1) won the race 12 months ago

TQ VERDICT: A competitive renewal, but the well-drawn RED BOND (e/w) could be the answer. This 4 year-old was a nice winner over course and distance last January but has returned this year with two more solid runs. He was a close third to Kaser here in December but took a big step forward on that with an easy 8 ½ length win at Newcastle last time. He’s up 13lbs for that and into this better race but looks a fast-improving miler and should make his presence felt. Via Serendipity (105) and Another Touch (104) are the top-rated runners in the field and can go well, while with 16 of the last 17 winners aged 6 or younger then the likes of Arcanada, Nonios, Another Touch and Goring would all seemingly be too old. Of the rest, the Hannon runner – Fox Power – is probably the one to beat. This course winner was second to Via Serendipity here last month, but is 3lbs better off this time so there shouldn’t be a lot between them.

2.45 – Bombardier British Hopped Amber Beer Lady Wulfruna Stakes (AW Championship Fast-Track Qualifier) (Listed Race) Cl1 7f32y ITV4

12/13 – Had won over 7f before
11/13 – Had won at least 4 times before
10/13 – Placed favourites
10/13 – Returned 9/1 or shorter in the betting
10/13 – Rated 104 or higher
9/13 – Had raced within the last 3 weeks
7/13 – Raced at Lingfield last time out
7/13 – Drawn in stall 7 or higher
7/13 – Unplaced last time out
6/13 – Aged 6 or 7 years-old
6/13 – Had won at Wolverhampton before
4/13 – Winning favourite
2/13 – Trained by Marco Botti
Above The Rest (18/1) won the race in 2019

TQ VERDICT: Several have lading chances here – including course winners Gulliver and Documenting, while the Mark Johnston team are mob-handed here with three runners – Cardsharp, Marie’s Diamond and Blown By Win – all three are respected. But the call here is for URBAN ICON to go well for the Richard Hannon yard. Ryan Moore has been booked to ride, so that’s the first plus. He’s not been out since running third in a Listed race on the turf at HQ back in July, but has handled quick ground on the turf so this first try on the AW looks sure to suit. Draw 1 and the fact he’s gone well fresh in the past are others plusses.

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL 2020: The Wait Is Almost Over…….

It’s the biggest jumps racing meeting on the planet so it will take more than a poxy coronavirus to stop the Cheltenham Festival from going ahead.

Yes – if the betting was anything to go by - it was touch and go a week or so ago as to whether the coronavirus that’s been sweeping the globe will impact the best four days of jumps racing on the calendar.

And, although we are not totally in the clear until the tape goes up next Tuesday for the traditional curtain-raiser race – the Sky Bet Supreme Novices Hurdle (1:30) – the odds are certainly back in favour of the Festival going ahead as planned.

Anyway, throughout the four days (Tuesday 10th – Friday 13th) we’ll have EVERY RACE covered on our blog page, with key trends and free tips. Plus, before the action gets going, we’ve also taken a look at the Top Trainer, Top Jockey and the GB v Irish battle too.

You can keep up-to-date with all the action on the TQ blog page HERE

Have a great Cheltenham!
