TQ Weekend Wrap – Free Horse Racing Tips and Trends: 16th March 2019

  • Uttoxeter: Midlands National Trends…….
  • Kempton: Key Stats and Free Tips…….
  • Trainers Quotes: More Top Winners This Week……

Hi, wow – so that’s another Cheltenham Festival done-and-dusted!

Hopefully you managed to find a few winners and if you went, we hope the head and liver isn’t too bad!!

For us there at TQ, the highlight has surely got to be the moment Bryony Frost steered home Frodon to land the Ryanair Chase on the third day. A great ride from the front and a first Grade One win at the meeting for a female jockey……..certainly made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!!!

So, after the carnage of the Festival the weekend after is always a bit of a comedown with punters generally taking a break. However, there is still some decent LIVE ITV racing to take in with the cameras heading to Kempton and Uttoxeter, with the Midlands National at Uttoxeter the main event.

Run over a gruelling 4m1f trip is goes without saying that stamina is the order of the day – we’ve got the race covered below with key trends and stats – did you know, 14 of the last 15 winners of the race were aged 9 or younger, while 13 of the last 15 carried 10-12 or less!?  We take a look at the big staying race in a bit more detail below.

So, bundles to get stuck into and we’ll be hoping to find plenty more winners for you and as always, we’ve got it all covered with free tips and all key trends for the LIVE races. Enjoy!

Have a Great Weekend

This Week At Trainers-Quotes………More winners for the TQ yards………..

It’s been another top week for the TQ yards, with Henry Oliver having the runner-up in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival with Kilfilum Cross (7/1, into 14/1) – a top run from his improving grey and certainly one to look for again next time.

We’ve also have excellent winners for Dave Griffiths, Tim Vaughan, Oliver Sherwood, Scott Dixon, James Evans and Simon Dow this week to round-off another excellent week…….

Here’s a snippet of what members were told this week…………………………

"Hazm – Came from the Sir Michael Stoute yard – first run for us and debut run full stop. Expensive yearling that didn’t quite cut the mustard at the Stoute yard. Picked up cheaply and hoping he’ll make a nice hurdler in time. NH Flat race first here though – shows up well at home and the jockey takes off a handy 3lbs. Probably not a race to get too involved in, with the Lavelle and Pauling horses looking the ones to beat, but still hoping for a nice introduction and small e/w.”

1st 11/1 Tim Vaughan

“Crosse Fire – Won this race in 2017 and rarely runs a bad race here. Ran well here last time to be third last month and runs off the same mark – no reason why he can’t go well again and expected to be in the shake-up and looks my best chance on the day.”

1st 5/1 Scott Dixon

“Tavener – Ran really well last time (close 2nd) and well drawn here in 6 – track and trip are perfect and top jock in Atzeni riding. Hopeful of a good run and in an open race should be knocking at the door – each-way.”

1st 5/2 Dave Griffiths

“Subliminal – Slowly getting the hang of things but has scope and sure to find his races. Should be thereabouts if he can progress on an upward curve and seems in good form.”

1st 9/2 Simon Dow

“Westreet ran well at Lingfield last time out when staying on well all the way to the line to be third, he will appreciate this step up in trip and he’ll love the ground here today so hoping we can make the long trip up pay off. Should be in the mix.”

1st 9/2 Oliver Sherwood

“Kilfilum Cross – In great order – I’d like to think he will run a big race toda

2nd 7/1 Henry Oliver

“Compadre – Course and distance winner over fences in January, who just got pipped back over hurdles last time. Seems in good form so hope he can do the business today.”

1st 6/4 James Evans

“Warrior’s Valley – Ran a cracker the other day – just got chinned on the line. Has come out of that race well though and remains in really good form. Should blast out again and hopefully he can stay there this time.”

1st 9/4 Dave Griffiths
