“Oriental Cross - Did okay last time out at Fontwell, when fourth of 11. That came over 2m but we feel the step up to 2m4f is in her favour and has also had a wind op since that last run. Now into a handicap too so that will help her chances as well. Should be more to come from her now in these sort of races, while we are also putting the tongue-tie on to help with her breathing. “Dovils Date – Has won 5 times over hurdles and is also a course winner here. A lot of weight to carry so that’s why we are putting Charlie up to take off 7lbs. Dropped in grade though from the class he’s used to running in and hopeful the tongue-tie will help first time too. 4 month break to get over but has gone well fresh in the past and seems well at home. Look to have the Skelton and Twiston-Davies horses to beat but still feel we’ve got each-way claims.” 3rd 28/1 Tim Vaughan
“Glimpse Of Gold – Into a Selling Hurdle here so very poor quality race, but that that should also give us every chance. Weighted to go close based on the ratings. Conditions are fine and overall hurdles record is not bad with 8 top three finishes from 18. Should be in the mix.”1st 15/8 Tim Vaughan
"Hard To Forget – Solid first run in a handicap last time out, when third at Market Rasen. Up just 2lbs for that and probably a slightly better race here but is going the right way and will have conditions to suit. Only 10 lengths behind Arthur Mac in a Novice Hurdle before too and that form is working out well with the winner going in again last week. Open race but feel we head here with decent each-way claims.”1st 10/3 Henry Oliver
“Papagana has improved with each run this season (apart from when she was nearly wiped out at Market Rasen) she is very brave and she stays well. She picked up her black type last time out when finishing third in a Listed race at Sandown, the two horses in front of her beat her on her previous outing (at Haydock) but she was closer to them this time so is certainly going the right way. This will be Papa’s first attempt at three miles, but based on that last run she looks as if she’s screaming for the trip, there are not many listed novice mares races over three miles and whilst I’d prefer softer ground for her you have to run in the races available. Each-way.”1st 9/4 Oliver Sherwood
“Manning Estate - Flash – as he’s known at home – has run well in all of his races so far, he’s been a consistent horse who has given his first time owners (Sue & Joe Norman) a lot of fun. He looked the likely winner last time out at Plumpton where he was outstayed on ground that had changed from good to softer during the day, which didn’t help him. Flash wants decent ground and I think this track will suit him, he has ability and loves his jumping he just needs to put everything together now and get his head in front. Flash is a bit of a boy at home, talented and occasionally naughty … a real character and a joy to have around. Only five runners and really looks between four of us, should not be far away.” 1st 3/1 Oliver Sherwood
“Copper Gone West – Won well last time out at Musselburgh – has come out of that race well and should have more to offer. Harder race and against the boys here to makes life harder. But only had three runs under rules and going the right way. Conditions are fine so even though a competitive race we’ve got each-way claims here and looks our better chance on the day.” 2nd 20/1 Tim Vaughan
“Hijran – Has a chance again today – delighted with her win at Kempton last time out and even though up 7lbs for that we still think she’s improving. Jason rode last time and continues in the saddle, plus these conditions will suit. 3 or 4 with similar chances but feel we head here with a decent chance. 2 1/2 stars.” 1st 4/1 Henry Oliver
