Animal had a bit of a bleed last time and we've given him time to get over it. Ideally, he's at his best over a bit further but he's still capable over this sort of trip. He should run a nice race and could finish in the frame.

Record High ran too freely last time after a long while off the track. The distance shouldn't be a problem and he needs soft ground - hence making the long trek to Bangor. Not without some ability but this is a competitive novice and no doubt he will be better once in handicap company.

We're really just hoping for a nice introduction for Precious Jean. She has some ability but this is a competitive affair and she does not have the benefit of a run whereas many of these do. Will enjoy the good ground.

Tapley has been running well although I do think he is often better on a flatter track. He acts best on good or quicker ground so being in the last race will help. Also a very fast-run race, which looks likely, would be to his advantage.

Non-runner

Silver Hill Flyer is a home-bred making his debut. He's a half-brother to a winner and out of a mare that we trained to win a bumper but while having plenty of ability, was temperamental. As ever, we'll be hoping for improvement next time on whatever he does today. He stays well and with Elizabeth's claim, he could run into a place if the other newcomers are no better than average.

You need to go back more than a year to find Oscarsman's last good run - he's had his issues since. Now he's 14lb lower than when a close 4th of 13 at Fontwell on similar ground to today's. Hopefully, he will be spurred on to a better showing than of late. He does need to have everything going his way and maybe the blinkers and tongue strap might encourage him to run well in what looks a competitive event.

Non-runner

Superstylin did well last time on ground much softer than ideal. He has come out of the race well and we're hoping that the better underfoot conditions can enable him to go one better.

Drying conditions will help Tapley who acts around the track and has the pace to hold his own in the likely strongly-run race. Good ground is needed for him to show his best and "good" is likely to be sneaking into the going description by race time. He has a nice light weight but he is up 5lb for his last run and this is the strongest race he has contested so far.

Superstylin again meets the winner of his last race and that horse has been treated pretty favourably. Superstylin was returning from a three-month break then and should improve a little on that performance. The ground that day was probably not as nice as he would prefer but it could be similar here with rain forecast in the morning. Ideally, he would prefer it good to soft so I'm hoping it's not desperate by race time.

Non-runner

Tapley has been running consistently this season and the ground here currently looks okay for him providing the rain stays away. The track should suit and hopefully, he can finish in the frame again.

Record High has been off the track for a long time as unfortunately he got struck into on his last run and did well to finish third considering. This looks very competitive even without the long absence to overcome, so I'm just hoping for a nice run back this time more than anything,

Superstylin won well last time and hasn't run since due to the ground conditions everywhere. We really would prefer good to soft so hoping for not too testing, although it is the first race, which helps. We're happy with him otherwise but I guess it all depends on what the ground is like on arrival.

Animal is in good heart and clearly acts around Sandown over this trip. I'm just hoping that the heavy ground is restricted to just a few areas. He has plenty of stamina but would not want very deep ground.

Oscarsman only ever goes well at Plumpton and Fontwell, probably as his wind catches him out on more galloping tracks, as it did at Taunion last time. He's in good heart at home but there's a slight concern about the going today after all that rain. We wouldn't want it too deep but good to soft is fine. Hopefully, it might dry back a bit with the strong winds.l

Animal has been running well this season and should have no problem with the trip. I have a slight concern about how the ground might ride after all the frosts. We wouldn't want it to be too holding. On the plus side, Gavin can ride as Fakenham is off.

Tapley is much more effective on good ground - it was way too soft for him when 3rd here on penultimate start. He likes the track and has a nice weight. Hopefully, there won't be too much rain before the first race as it's good to soft at present. Place claims again.

I was delighted with Animal when he won last time, staying on very strongly. He has won around Market Rasen and the trip should be no problem. I would want the ground to remain good to soft though, whereas drying going would not be ideal. He should go well again.

Oscarsman probably frightened himself a bit over fences and we will be sticking to hurdles for a while. Taunton probably isn't the ideal track for him - he prefers the likes of Plumpton and Fontwell - but hopefully, Lizzie's claim will help a bit. He's working nicely at home and the ground should be okay but historically he has needed a run to blow the cobwebs away. Just hopeful of a nice run today.

Animal definitely needs 3m plus these days so this should suit. He has a nice weight but wouldn't want the ground to be too testing, a mixture of good to soft and soft would be fine. Hopeful of another good run.

Tapley won nicely at Kempton and wasn't helped by the rain before Monday's return there under his 6lb higher mark. Lizzie keeps the ride and it would be great if they could run into a place against these smart handicappers.

Point winner Superstylin gets very revved up. He did win a race over hurdles and this will be the first time over fences for him. He jumps well so should improve for them, but it's all about how he settles. Sea Bowen has that job.

Pilbara was unlucky to unseat last time but the incident happened too far out to see how he might have fared. Dropped to a better mark and with Lizzie's claim to help, he may take a minor place.

This is a  tougher assignment under his 6lb rise than when Tapley won nicely here last time. I'm hoping the fact that Lizzie is still eligible to claim 7lb against Small Bad Bob whereas Freddie cannot, might just help again. I would not want too much rain as he needs a sound surface but he should be in the shake-up if it's still good.

Counteract is much better over fences really but he acts on good ground. He has had his issues and is not straightforward to train. On the positive side, he has no weight today with Elizabeth's claim and it would not be a shock to see him run into a place. He's not one to rely on nowadays though.

Pilbara has finally been dropped a bit by the handicapper and we're using Elizabeth to take a further 7lb off. He got outpaced last time and it's been a struggle finding a suitable race. Plumpton is not ideal from that perspective, as he needs to be held up for as long as possible. This trip should be better and he probably hasn't run in as weak a race for a while. Hoping for a first-four finish.

Animal ran well for the most part last season, winning a three-miler at Kempton in good style, but then bled on his final start. He's in good spirits and while he will probably come on a little for the run, is fit enough to do himself justice. Hopefully, he will finish in the frame under Sean Bowen, who is a great booking.

Tapley likes good ground and has needed his two runs back this autumn. Conditions should be fine here and while he has a big weight in this conditionals' race, we're taking off 7lb for a competent young rider.

Pilbara has had his issues and will probably need this first run back from a break. I think he needs some help from the handicapper before he will be able to get his head in front again.

Superstylin is having one more run over hurdles before switching to fences which will be more up his street. He won well at Market Rasen in soft ground but last time at Southwell on what they called good to soft, but I felt was much faster than that, he was unable to quicken. He has a small each-way squeak but is likely to be seen to much better effect over the larger obstacles.

Tapley likes Plumpton where he is a course and distance winner. I wouldn't want the ground to get too soft - that's the biggest concern so hoping it continues to dry out. Nevertheless, I think he'll finish in the first four.

Tapley has a good cruising speed and acts on top of the ground. He ran well on going way too soft for him at Sandown last time in a competitive novice. This contest looks tough enough with only four runners but we're hoping he will run a nice race on seasonal return.

Counteract is potentially well in here as he has never had his ground over hurdles. He's not one to rely on entirely nowadays but if on a going day, he certainly could get involved.

Non-runner

Tapley is very genuine and always runs his race although the soft ground is a concern. It is likely to dry back a bit but he wants it good. He will stay further than 2m and is suited by a strong pace which he is likely to get. He does tend to hang left a little, especially in the closing stages of his races and as a result until now he's been untried right-handed. A race of this nature is the place to find out.

Pilbara hasn't really fired since returning after a long absence at the start of the autumn. He has dropped a fair amount in the handicap but he will need to wake his ideas up if he is to be competitive in a deep enough handicap hurdle.

Superstylin won well last time in similar conditions at Market Rasen. Although raised 8lb for that, he is still at the right end of the handicap and although this is clearly tougher, he should go well again, especially if the ground eases further.

The track and trip should both suit Animal ideally. He prefers good to soft ground, so we wouldn't want it to dry out too much for him either. He is in good form and on an upward curve, so we're hoping for another good performance from him.

Oscarsman has a lot of weight but he usually runs well at Plumpton. He would ideally want a bit further but could reward each-way support if the going doesn't dry out too much. Back over hurdles this time, but he's equally effective as he is over fences.

Superstylin has run well the last twice and is sure to be there or thereabouts again off a nice weight. He wouldn't want the ground to get too testing - a mixture of good to soft and soft would be fine.

Animal ran well at Stratford five days ago and is likely to go up in the handicap for that run. Similar conditions here today as it's almost 3m at Stratford when the rails are pushed out. He appears to have come out of his race very well but it just depends on whether this comes too quick. If he doesn't bounce he should be there at the finish.

Animal was clearly not himself last time and he came out of the race very flat, possibly affected by his January flu jab. The trip and ground should be fine today and he's in good form at home. Expecting him to run a decent race.

Providing the ground is on the easy side of good, Superstylin should go well again. The brush hurdles are a positive and he probably just bumped into a very well handicapped horse last time. Hopeful.

Counteract ran well on this track last time in a higher grade. He has been in good form at home and likes good ground so we are expecting him to be in the mix once again.

Tapley ran well at Fontwell last time even though the ground was gluey. He's at his best on a decent surface so should be much happier today. He has run well on this track before and I expect him to do so again although there are two or three others in here with form claims. Expect to see him in the shake-up.

Pilbara is certainly not the most consistent but in his defence, the last race at Plumpton wasn't run to suit him. Although I'm hopeful he could go well here, this looks competitive and hopefully there will be easier opportunities further down the line.

Oscarsman ran a decent race when 4th at a big price over hurdles here last time. He was top weight that day and would have been even closer had he not been closed off on the run-in. He jumps well at home and while this is his chase debut he has prior pointing experience. He should go well again.   

Pilbara has had a few issues but ran well last time at Uttoxeter, helped by a change in tactics. He possibly didn't quite see out the trip and two that finished behind him have won since. He wouldn't want the ground to be too lively so I'm hoping the good to soft stays. He has a chance if putting his best foot forward and is well at home but is not the most straight-forward by any means. Hoping for a good run.

Tapley has been improving steadily over hurdles since winning his bumper at the start of the season. He gave Poncho a fright at Plumpton a week ago and  probably has another Gary Moore horse to beat to open his account over hurdles. Hopeful.

Oscarsman had a long time off and while he didn't ran too badly 2nd time back at Plumpton, he then pulled up at Huntingdon. We're hoping for a better effort now, but top-weight in a big field won't be easy.

Tapley ought to finish in the frame but on paper at least he will need to improve to win it. He is at his best on decent ground so he definitely wouldn't want it to be too gluey. We expect him to run another good race.

Animal would have gone close last time but for missing the second-last. He is likely to put in another good effort and should at least finish in the frame all being well.

Although Superstylin won his Irish point, he has been much too free so far over hurdles. We will be looking for him to be more measured today and the drop in trip will help with that. Desperate ground last time (meeting abandoned soon afterwards) so best putting a line through that. Ultimately a chaser and will likely need a handicap mark. He does work nicely but really hoping just for a better run than anything else.

Tapley ran well last time and as two or three of these look hard to beat, he is probably going for minor honours at the most again. He is best on good ground so we wouldn't want too much rain beforehand.

Animal was left with too much to do last time when he could have gone very close. Today's trip is slightly on the short side - he is better at 2 and 3/4 miles - but he has enough pace to be involved in the finish today. Each-way chances.

Oscarsman has been running well this season and the ground should suit. He would have preferred a greater test of stamina and the race looks competitive, but with a 5lb claimer booked, he looks to have an each-way chance.

Animal was consistent last season and ran much better than his finishing position suggests on his comeback run at Bangor. He is fitter now and looks nicely weighted in the middle of this ordinary handicap. Good each-way chance.

Pilbara has had his share of issues and we are switching back to hurdles and over further in the hope of getting him back on track. Really wanting to see his running on and getting his confidence back. Probably best watched.

Counteract is a burly type of horse who would have needed his last two runs, with the latest over an inadequate trip. Acts on good ground and three miles should suit him. He is back down on a reasonable mark but the race looks very competitive. I am expecting a much better run today though.

Ex-Irish pointer Tapley made an impressive winning debut in a Fontwell bumper but stepped up in class at Cheltenham, he gradually weakened after running into a challenging position coming to the straight. This is a hot hurdle race to start him in and he may also need further than the minimum later in his career. Interesting to see where he fits in here.

You can put a line through Superstylin's last run as he pulled hard for almost two miles. A very tall horse and much more a future chaser, he does have ability but currently needs to learn to settle. Hopefully he can switch off at the back today and get into a rhythm. If he relaxes early and is patiently ridden we will see a lot better from him.

Oscarsman had been off the track for two years before what in the circumstances was a creditable return here two weeks ago. Hopefully he will have come on for that and we can get a clear run with him from now on.

Has been off the track for two years so entitled to need this, though fit enough to run a reasonable race. Won over course and distance and this race is easier than what he has been contesting but really just hoping for a nice comeback run.

A burly type of horse who definitely needed the race last time, this trip is slightly on the short side for him nowadays, albeit he has won over course and distance previously, though that was a much weaker race.

Has definite ability but the favourite looks a tough one. However, he is as fit as a flea and jumps well so would expect him to run a good race today.

Ran well last season over fences and was really starting to gain his confidence jumping. Trip and going fine and hoping he can reach the frame here on his reappearance run.

Tall, rangy horse, much more of a chaser than a hurdling type. Ran in a decent bumper at Haydock last season, purely as it was the only place with some give in the ground. Ran him from the front that day, which in hindsight he may have been better held up. Really looking for a nice introduction to hurdles today and wanting to make sure he settles. Does have ability but will likely need a bit of time.

Tapley probably wasn't quite getting home in his points and his pedigree isn't hugely about stamina. He stuck it out very well though in an evenly-run bumper at Fontwell and is entitled to have come on a bit for that. This is hugely competitive so he would need to improve to win it. That said, he has similar form to most of these barring two or three, so looks a value each-way bet at the price.

Counteract was off for most of last season and then was out of sorts for his sole run in the spring. He has come back well from his break, is reasonably well treated on his best form and trip/ground should suit. Hopeful of a much better run.

Won at Fontwell this time last year and has run well off a break before, but needs to bounce back from being pulled up the last twice, albeit in fair races. Drop back into a Class 3 helps and should enjoy the tight track, while at 7 he's still got time on his side. Looking for a nice run back, but likely to find a few of the more race-fit ones too good this time.

Tapley was bought in Ireland after the latest of his point-to-points when he finished a good second and might have won bar a last-fence mistake. A five-year-old by Geordieland, he is sure to stay and has the experience to take a hand against less seasoned rivals. Hopeful each-way.

Pulled up the last twice and back from a small break here today. Will likely need the run back and is still looking for his first win from 16 runs so overall need to see a bit more on the track really.

A tall, rangy individual who will continue to improve with time. Has definite ability, just needs to settle and if he does, capable of reaching the frame here. Probably was weak when he ran in his bumper as a four year old as well over 17hh and gives the impression that he has a lot of filling out to do still. Was impressive in his last point.

Won well at Fontwell lat time - probably with a bit in hand, though was a 2m2f race. Significantly hotter contest today so we've booked Archie to claim a handu 7lbs to offset the penalty. Expecting another good run and still has a decent chance - though clearly the oppo here is tougher, with the favourite looking the one to beat.

CD winner here that did well last season to win twice. Last run back in May was disappointing but has had a nice break since after a busy time and seems well. Only 5lbs higher than last win and eased back in grade will help. Will love the good ground too and we head here with a decent e/w chance.

Yet to win over hurdles (13) runs so a fair bit to prove at the moment. Continues to drop to a fair mark though with is the plus but would have probably wanted softer ground too.

Was found to have an irregular heartbeat last time and has had it investigated since with no abnormalities, thought likely to be a one off though clearly racing will be the test. Likes Plumpton as does not enjoy travelling far from home and providing the ground is genuinely good or quicker could run another good race. Good to soft places are apparently only round bottom bend.

Back from a break so might just need the run here today and a bit to prove after being pulled up the last day at Hereford back in October. Also running a few pounds out of the handicap here, but still only 5 so has time on her side.

Showed ability a few seasons ago but has had his problems since and lightly-raced over the last 2-3 years. 8lbs lower than last time helps and eased in grade but hard to fancy until we see more.

Going the right way after winning at Fakenham in January and then running well to be third last time out at Market Rasen. Same mark here today and is well after a few months off. Goes well fresh and will like the conditions. Each-way chance in an open race.

Pulled up the last twice so a bit to prove at the moment. Overnight rain is a help though and won well three run ago at Fontwell off this mark. Had a break since his last run and goes well fresh so that will help and seems well at home. Looks a hot little race though for the grade, but no shock to see him outrun his odds.

Course winner but has lost his way a bit recently and not getting any younger at 11. Dropping mark and jockey's 7lbs claim a help but best watched until we see some old spark.

Has a good attitude and whilst ultimately having been bought as a stayer he can still go a good gallop. Would expect him to run a nice race and hopefully he can make the frame today.

Course winner that is now 11, but has lot to prove at the moment - pulled up on his last four runs. The plus is that he continues to drop down the ratings and is off another career-low mark. Tristan rides again and he's well after a small break, but hard to get too excited in present form.

Won well last time on track (Fakenham) that was probably too sharp and going maybe too soft. Ground ideal today, trip may bring out further improvement now he is much more settled - plus is a course winner here too (NH Flat race). Was very keen early on his only start over hurdles at this distance. Does occasionally jump left but was very minimal on his latest start and seems to have improved with physiotherapy. Should go close today but there are a few you could make a similar case for.

Has had a tendency to jump left on his last couple of chases which has cost him a bit  but has run with credit on both those occasions. A different track for him here but race doesn’t look the strongest and likely to at least be in the frame and am hopeful he can get his head in front here all being well.

Scoped dirty last time out so had a valid reason for pulling up. Needs these marathon trips nowadays and does have a tendency to drop himself out, though if the jockey can manage to persevere highly likely to come back into it and generally finishes well as when he won this race a couple of years ago. Definitely not the easiest but certainly able to go close in this if putting his best foot forward with conditions perfect for him today.

In good heart and acts on soft, but untried on ground as testing as it will be today. First time over fences against much more experienced rivals but is expected to improve for the larger obstacles in general.

Had been off the track a long time before returning at Market Rasen last time. If the ground is quite testing may come into his own and run into a place but does tend to need marathan trips now and is likely on at 3m5f-6f on his next run. Tom does get on well with him however and he tends to run for him too.

Returning from almost two years off the track and generally at his best over marathon trips. Fit enough to do himself justice but normally enjoys a slog and might be a better proposition over 3 and a half miles next time out with a comeback run under his belt.

Had a very nice debut run over fences around course and distance latest after returning from his summer break. Should have done his confidence a lot of good and another good performance expected.

Won at Fontwell two runs back but didn't jump well last time at Exeter and was pulled up in the end. Drop back to 2m5f today will help though - this was the trip he won over in Oct. But is into a better race here too so does need to bounce back. On a plus, the track and ground will suit.

Only a 5yo and returning from a break. Much better schooling over fences than hurdles at home and looks very much a chasing type. Definitley has ability and if getting into a nice rhythm early and jumping well could easily reach the frame here. A big horse who will continue to improve with time.

Put up a good performance last time over what was probably his absolutely minimum trip His form is working out well and looks as if he can get involved in the finish again here today. Suited by good-to-soft.

Does have ability and would have a good chance on form but has been off the track for a year and usually needs the run on his first outing as quite a lazy horse at home. Might be worth a very small e/w if he is a big price but not expecting much first time out.

In good heart at present and has strong claims again here despite an 8lb rise. Normally runs best close to home as she can get very warm travelling so a lot depends on how she takes her journey, however Wincanton is not too far away from us and we are into cooler temperatures now which should be beneficial.

Needed the run the last day at Fontwell so better expected today. But is running from 6lbs out of the handicap here and still winless from 14 runs. Bit to prove still but conditions will be fine so just hoping for an improved showing.

Put up a good effort at Newton Abbot over fences and probably best to put a line through his last run over hurdles latest. Would not want ground to deteriorate too much further but has a nice weight and the ability and as good a chance as any if taking to the figure of eight track at Fontwell.

Likes running close to home re less travelling to the track so that helps. Back to form last time out at Fontwell, with a fair third. That came in the first-time blinkers so they are back on today. Same mark here today, but gets in with just 10st in weight to carry. Slight drop in trip here will help after getting a bit tired last time over further. Well at home and with some more improvement would have an e/w chance with the ground fine as long as the rain stays away as needs it quick really. Place claims at the foot of the weights.

Improved effort the last time and should go well again though any further significant rain is a problem. She will not handle any soft conditions underfoot. Currently good ground at the time of writing.

One of two in the race for us. Is currently 0-from-13, a bit of a better run last time out at Uttoxeter, when 4th of 11. Had almost 3 months off since but returns here on a 6lb lower mark and only has 10st to carry. But is running a few pounds out of the handicap which isn't ideal. The slightly longer trip will suit though as stayed on well over 2m4f last time and seems well at home. Might just need the run back but if building on that last effort would have a small place chance.

Second runner in the race. Showed promise to win a NH Flat race a few years ago but hasn't really progressed since over hurdles and is yet to win a race over the sticks. Needs to bounce back from being pulled up last time at Newton Abbot but is 2lbs lower here which helps. We are also putting on the blinkers today to see if they help. We believe she's better than recent runs so if the blinkers work could also sneak a place. 

Travelled better last - might be suited by the drop back in trip and the quicker surface if the rain stays away. Hopeful she can run into a minor place today.

Pulled up the last day behind Forchena, who is now a non-runner here today. We are down 4lbs for that plus we've freshened her up with a few months off. The cheekpieces are also on today to try and help sharpen her up as been making a few mistakes in her races too over the hurdles. Bit to prove at the moment but seems well at home, so only small e/w claims.

Nice horse for the yard and ran well here last time when second to a fair sort. Had 3 weeks to get over that race but likes cut so the recent rain - and anymore - will help. The Paul Nicholls runner is the obvious one to beat but we head here with a leading e/w chance and should not be far away.

Has showed some useful form in novice chases in Ireland though his handicap mark has been put up 7lb. Trip fine in these softer conditions. Hopefully he can put in a good round of jumping and go close today.

Pulled up the last twice, so very much on a recovery mission at the moment. Trying up in trip to 2m4f to see if that helps, but yet to hit the frame from 12 runs so hard to fancy until we see some improvement.

Ran very well last time and may be better suited by a strongly run 2m4f up in grade. At the right end of the weights and place claims again today.

Has taken a bit of time to get his confidence over hurdles and has a tendency to be a bit keen. Drop back in trip probably a help to him here too and should be able to make the frame today in second start in a handicap.

Our better chance on the day. Has started to relax more in his races and the rain will certainly help his chance. Will also like the drop back in trip and returns here 3lbs lower than last time. Fit and well, so would have an each-way chance here.

Yet to win from 11 starts and needs to show more after being pulled up at Taunton last time. Is also running from out of the handicap here today so would need to find a lot of improvement.

Goes well enough at home to suggest she can be competitive in a bumper. Attractive long-striding athletic filly and hopefully she can reach the frame here. Impossible to know what we are up against however. Wants good ground ideally.

Won gamely over course and distance on Monday in very soft conditions. Has to carry a 7lb penalty and this does look more competitive, but an each-way chance again provided this hasn't some too soon as we know she can handle the going.

Won twice earlier this season and last time the race probably came a bit too soon - just 6 days - after his last. Had a break since (3 weeks) and the drop back in trip here today will help as didn't quite see out the 3m at Bangor last time. Good ground is fine and despite being 7lbs higher than his last win, is still only 6 years-old and we feel there is more to come from him. Should have every chance against a lot of much older horses.

Ran a nice race at Taunton last time looking likely to make the frame apart from a bad mistake two out. Did well to finish where she did after that and down another 4lbs here. Another large field but place claims on her last run.

Had two runs after a long time off and will have stripped fitter now. Suited to very soft conditions which she should get by her race and could run into a place.

Will be suited to this track and trip - started to relax a bit better in his races, does need a bit of rain to arrive (won't run if good-to-firm still in the description). Place claims here though, probably better back down in trip.

Ran well enough last time - probably needed the race as very lazy at home. Starting to come down to a more reasonable mark and gaining confidence of hurdles now too. Has a small e/w chance in a large and competitive race.

Put up a much better performance last time and is starting to settle better now. Hopeful of a reasonable showing on a flatter track which should help her as she is not very big. Overall, not a great race and would expect her to finish in the top half off 10st.

No penalty for his last win at Plumpton. Up in trip here to 3m, with last two wins coming over around 2m4f, but suggests he'll stay based on recent wins. Loves the better ground and no track issues. As long as the quick races don't catch up with him then should have every chance of landing the three-timer. Micheal Nolan takes over in the saddle.

Put up a good performance to win comfortably at Wincanton on his first start over fences and on better ground. Up 10lbs for that and this is a stronger race, with two others looking well in. However, we are still well-handicapped ourselves and at the right end of the weights - if handling the tighter track. Has come out of his last race well and likely to put up another good performance today.

Needs a sound surface and 3m is likely her trip. Just a question of whether she settles enough early on, but if she does is likely to go well.

This is definitely a better trip for him than Taunton two runs back. Ground might just be getting a bit lively for him but not without place claims. Wouldn't be particularly worried about being out of the weights.

Should have strengthened up a bit but has a tendency to run a bit free. Realistically will need to run in handicaps though to be more competitive.

Handicap debut and has shown enough on his Kempton third to be competitive here. Up in trip which shouldn't be a problem if settles early. Better ground should also suit and the course will be fine. Should be in the mix despite topweight.

Expected to be much better on a decent surface - has schooled well too and hoping for a good run, so could make the frame here at a fair price.

Ideal going and trip here today for her. Normally runs a solid race and likely to be in the mix again here today. Expecting a good run.

Old boy at the age of 14, but ran okay at Taunton last time out to keep going with him. Down 3lbs more and gets in here with just 10st in weight so that helps. Likes the track too and be fine on the ground, plus the longer trip should be more up his street here. Be nice to get another good run out of him and dropping mark and light weight, means he could get in the frame here.

Was very keen last time after a lay-off and burnt herself out. Wears a hood today and that has been helping at home too. Needs the rain to come and her minimum trip but would have place claims here today.

Likely to perform much better on a sounder surface and could go well at big odds.

Has been particulary hard to place this season but retains his enthusiasm, although nowhere near the force of old. Though this track might not be completley ideal, he stands a chance of running into a place off a feather weight, with only a few of these looking as if they are running to their marks.

Ran very well at Wincanton last time out - staying on strongly. A couple of nice sorts in here again but could run into a place again and is starting to settle better now in his races.

Been off the track a while and not been given a huge amount of help from the handicapper. She is working well at home though and probably better over this sort of trip than 3m. Entitled to need the run, but could still easily run into a place.

Waiting for better ground before he goes back in a hurdle. Will probably prefer this surface to what he's been running on previously and we may see an improved performance from him here as was very weak last year and yet to have his going this trem. But some useful types in here today.

Has had two starts after a very long time off the track. Just looking for a pleasing run today. Will need a handicap mark and shorter trip may help in time. 

Showed ability to win a bumper back in February and did okay on debut hurdles run at Stratford (5th of 12). Still learning but has done well in the two months he's had off and looking forward to getting going with him again. Will be one step nearer getting a handicap mark here though and once in those races will be a lot more competitive. Looks between the Pauling, Nicholls and Fry runners.

14 years-old now so we are taking every race at a time with him now - but seems in good form at home at the moment. Back to Plumpton today and to a course he's won at over this trip before - likes it here. Certainly very well handicapped on old form though with last win (Feb 19) coming off an 11lb higher mark and is 3lbs lower than when last seen. Things happened a bit too quick for him last time at Warwick after a better run at Exeter, Soft ground is fine too and off this low mark could easily run into a place at a fair price.

Old boy that is still enjoying his racing at 12, going on 13! Ran okay on his return at Plumpton last month but just needed that and will be a lot sharper for that. Longer trip is fine and loves the soft ground too. Better race here but that means we get in with just 10-6 and the jockey can claim another 7lbs. Dropped 3lbs from last time too so looking on a fair mark that could easily see him run well off this light weight. Each-way chance.

Former Pointer but has only had one run under rules when down the field at Fakenham 11 days ago. Slight step up in trip and the softer ground will help but very much work in progress and will be better once handicapped.

Has strengthened up a lot and can be competitive off his mark. Concern is the going as by far his best run was at Kempton on good-to-soft and that is probably what he wants.

Shows ability at home but has been off the track for a long time however and entitled to strip fitter after today. Should put in a reasonable effort but might be best-watched on first start.

Down a few pounds for his last run at Exeter when running a fair 5th of 14. Not getting any younger at 13 but still enjoying his racing. Handles the soft ground well and Rex Dingle helps by taking off 3lbs too. Is 8lbs lower than last win so certainly capable of out running his odds, especially with just 10-1 to carry, but will need to keep tabs on them during the first half of the race.

Normally goes well on soft and should be a bit sharper for a recent outing. 7lb claimer will help and place claims here today off a light weight.

In excellent form - stay very well and loves extreme/heavy conditions. Usually does very well in this sort of grade too and despite a rise in the weights after his second at Huntingdon last season - with the help of a 7lb claim - would expect him to go very close here today.

Bred to stay and going well at home. Hopefully she can settle early and will face the kickback here. Was very weak last year so just hoping for some improvement today really.

Ran a great race last time - staying on at the same pace. Longer trip should be fine if ridden more patiently. Would not want going very soft but chances of mainly good to soft ground. Should go well again and won't be far away.

Last run was pleasing at Kempton - gaining in confidence and running on well behind some extremely useful types. Will be a lot more competitive in this company and it would not be a surprise for her to run into a place here - albeit she is ultimately a stayer.

Was too free last time in what turned into a slowly run affair due to the going changing to soft. Mainly looking for him to settle today and put in a nice performance. May take a couple of runs for him to learn to switch off but should run a pleasing race still.

Ran well last time on a track that would have been too sharp for him. Should have come on for the run and has been schooling well too. Favourite looks thrown in at the weights though but we are hopeful we should be in the frame.

Ran well and with enthusiasm on his last start here. Not getting any quicker but does have a good cruising speed and is a genuine sort. Place claims

Didn't get home over the extended 3m2f last time. Track and trip will be better for him today. Hopefully should go well off a light weight providing the conditions are not too tiring.

Should enjoy the going today and reasonably handicapped on best form. Has a small each-way chance.

Unlucky to fall last time as just got caught out with the ground running away from her on the landing side. Probably will be better off in handicaps, so just looking for a nice solid run really today and go from there.

Have always thought a lot of this horse and he won well at Market Rasen. Wouldn't want the ground any softer than he had that day but also could do with the rain arriving today as the going is quick enough up the hill. Has strengthened up a lot and the track should suit as gets better the further he goes. Very strong race, but not without a chance.

Decent hurdler on his day - probably should have won the Lanzarote Hurdle last saeson at Kempton before unseating his jockey at the last. Returened earlier this month to blow away the cobwebs at Uttoxeter and has certainly benifitted from that outing. The slight drop back in trip should suit and with the expected improvement from last time will go much better today. Very open and competitive race but expected to run well - each-way chance.

Last run here to get a mark and being realistic will have better chances in handicaps in the future with three horses rated 120+ in the race.

Won over hurdles at Plumpton last December but was subsequently found to have needed a wind operation - which he's now had. Untried at this trip but has form in Irish Points over 3m - generally staying on. Has a nice weight and definitely has ability so if the wind op has worked (is not making a noise at home) could make the frame here in a race that does not look the strongest for the grade.

Improving hurdler that was very unlucky not to win the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton last time out - unseated Micheal Nolan at the last. Had a break since that run back in January and is well for it. Returns in a slightly easier grade and won't mind the ground. Will benefit fro the run but has been doing plenty at home and still not without place claims - regardless is a horse we like and are delighted to get going with again - certainly one to note through the season.

Only had four career runs and not show much so far. Also returning from a 203 day break so likely to come on for this and will also benefit from getting a handicap mark for future races.

Ran well enough on reappearance (6th). Should be suited by this step up in trip and the going is fine at present (good or quicker is ideal). Many of these have their best form on soft so may have an advantage if there is no further rain. Should have some on from that last run a bit too and should run a nice race at a fair price.

Ran well on her reappearance last time and the drop back to 2m should not be a problem for her. Competitive race but very genuine and likely to give another good account. Place claims.

Has strengthened up a lot this year and has been schooling and working well at home. Hopeful of a nice run but others have more experience today.

Acts best on top of the ground - which was pretty hard to find last season. First run over hurdles and others have more experience but could run well into a place at a decent price.

In good form and is in a much better grade for her as she was contesting much stronger races last year and kept bumping into a few improvers. At her best on a sound surface - fit too and is expected to go well here. Each-way.

Ran a fair race last time in a reasonable handicap. This represents a drop in grade but a couple of unexposed sorts take us on. In good heart and hope he can reach the frame here - each-way.

Ran very well last time in a poor race - a 6lb rise at his age will make life much harder here but conditions, track and trip should suit. Should go close. 2 1/2 stars.

Should be happier on a slightly nicer surface but this is a very hot race and we are just looking to gain experience here - will do better in handicaps.

Normally goes well for Tom O'Brien and travelled well throughout the race last time - looking the winner most of the way and just getting tired after the last in a marathon trip in gruelling conditions. Will act on soft/heavy but does have a bit of weight to carry. However, this is a drop in grade and although he can't be relied upon totally I am hopeful of a place at least.

Came out of his last race well and hopeful of another good performance with this drop in grade. Can't have the ground soft enough and stays strongly. Big field but he should be thereabouts at the finish.

Big long striding horse. Has been working nicely at home. Hard to tell just how good the others are or might be with no form to go on, but some strong pedigrees. So just hopeful of a nice intro today and fingers crossed he can reach the frame - he shouldn't be too green either.

Was probably a bit keen at Plumpton last time and just didn't quite get home. Drop in trip should help and has a nice weight today - so could run on into a place.

Needs a sound surface and has ability. Has a good cruising speed and handy type. Not over big so struggled a bit with a penalty, but feel we've got an each-way chance here today.

Works well but has been off a long time and just looking for a nice run back today and a bit of hurdling experience. May be seen to better effect on a sounder surface in due course.

Won this race last year and conditions should be ideal for him today as he bids to defend his title! Going has generally been too holding for him on all his starts this season and prefers the ground very wet. A couple look well-in here and not getting any younger, but very hopeful of at least a place as he does also love it here at Plumpton. 2 1/2 stars.

Second runner in the race for us. CD winner and after some time off the track, made a pleasing return to hurdling at Fontwell a couple of weeks ago - staying on well. In good heart and possible he could now finish in the frame with a low weight and back up in trip. 1 1/2 stars.

Has the ability and stays well but only he knows how he will run!! Blinkers not guaranteed to make a difference but has always gone well for Tom O'Brien in the past so that's encouraging.

At his best on a sound surface so a lot depends on just how soft it is today. Able to stay very well in himself and we feel we've got an each-way chance here today now dropped into a lower grade and as long as no more rain.

Hopefully the going isn't too gluey as prefers a soundish surface. Has been running well in significantly stronger races than this and providing she copes with the going is likely to go very close here today.

Does have ability to be competitive here and has plenty of stamina so should be able to handle what is likely to be very testing conditions today. Very much has his own mind and very hard to tell how he is likely to go as he drops himself out of the race early and tends to come with a rattle at the end. In good form at home and hopefully with his confidence high after his last win can go well again.

Entitled to come on for the run after a break and at his age - returns here after 312 days off. But is working as well as ever at home. Much happier back on soft going too. Still has the ability to win races but might just need this today. 1 1/2 stars.

Has been running in better grade hurdles than this and is finally able to run at his favourite track again. This is shorter than he has been running over but hopefully he can reach the frame in this grade. Acts on soft/heavy ground too but Lingfield was too holding for him last time. Place chance.

Big horse that is still a little on the weak side. Just looking to gain experience here and he will do better in handicaps.

Has run well in his last two handicaps which were equally - if not more - competitive. Does drop back a bit in trip but should be fine with a strong gallop. Has a nice weight and the ground is fine. Good-to-soft his ideal conditions and is very switched on at home. Place claims.

Acts on soft/heavy going - generally prefers wetter conditions rather than very holding ground which it is likely to be here. However, is in good heart and we feel he's got an each-way chance here.

Clondaw Bisto - Unreliable character but this is not a strong race and providing he is in the mood shoud at least reach the frame here. The extra distance shouldn't be a problem either for him.

Big heavy type of a horse and should have come on a lot since the Plumpton run. Probably see an improved performance from him today but this looks stronger on paper and a much bigger field so he will likely fare better when hurdling. 

Has ability and stays very well - would not want the ground to deteriorate much further. Should be suited to a strong gallop but this is hot and first time in a handicap - though his pointing form is working out well. Might sneak into a place though off a light weight.

Been off the track for a while and this looks competitive in testing conditions. Likes the track but will probably be sharper after this outing and more at home in lesser company.

Needs very soft/wet ground, which he hasn't had yet this season - but should get that today with plenty of rain about this morning. Very genuine and the trip will suit. Hopeful he will be placed here today.

Ran a very good race at Newbury, which was only his fourth start over hurdles. Was only just over six lengths behind Champers On Ice and is on 4lbs better terms with him today on a track that should suit. Holds each-way claims.

Ran a good race at Chepstow this season where he probably would have preferred it softer still. Just unlucky latest - working well and if the ground is as described has good place claims and not impossible that he could get his head in front today.

Wants very soft ground and works well enough - does have ability though. He is a very heavy type of individual though and may well come on from the run today. Might run into a place.

Oscarsman - Ran well on first start - ground bottomless last time and probably wasn't to hi liking. Better trip for him today and providing the ground isn't too soft could sneak into a place but likely to be better off in handicaps - working well, however.

Finished last season on a high note - form has worked out well too. Ground very heavy last time and looked a bit laboured in it - plus first run back following a break. At his best on good-to-soft ground and the step up to 3m will be in his favour. Very competitive but could go well at a big price off a nice weight. Would not want the ground too deep though.

The Blue Bower - 6f in nurseries was always going to show her at her best - ran well last time and has come out of that race well. Didn't have a great draw last time either so did even better and every chance of reaching the frame again with a bit of luck in-running. Should go well.

Acts on decent ground and needs a good gallop, which hopefully he'll get today. Consistent sort and should be in the mix - place claims.

Feel we've got another fair each-way chance here - has run well twice here this season already, third the last day and is a pound lower. Much lighter weight to carry too in this slightly better race and will be fine over the extra half a mile.

She ran well for much of the last time at Aintree in a better race. Drop back in grade will suit and Ben is back riding and able to claim 7lbs. That will help and two runs in this season will help to have blown the cobwebs away. Each-way.

The Blue Bower - Had an impossible draw last time and didn't actually run too badly as was carried wide throughout the race over an inadequate trip. This is stronger but should be much more comfortable back over 6f and could reach the frame here.

11 year-old now, but goes without saying not getting any younger. But will be much fitter for last run at Chepstow off a break. Only a pound lower than last time though in this harder race for Conditional jockeys' only. Trip and soft ground will be fine and Ben (claims 5lbs) gets on well with him. Actually first run at Cheltenham too, so looking forward to seeing him in action here - we think it'll suit. Tall order, but can improve on that last run.

Acts on soft - possibly doesn't want it this heavy but first race on the turf, which will help. Ran well enough last time, but will be seen to better effect in handicaps as clearly the favourite is very well in here. Could possibly run into a place as is very genuine. Hard to tell just how good some of the others are though. Ben's claim (7lbs) should help though. 1 1/2 stars.

Ran really well last time - just unsuited by the slow pace. Acts on soft and should like the step up in trip. Has a nice weight, which should be an advantage if the rain continues to fall and going becomes testing. Should be going close.

Goes well enough - just may be a better hurdler. Should run a nice race but may just be vulnerable to a few speedier types.

In good heart at the moment and was back to himself at the end of last season after a year out. At his best, however, on very testing/wet ground. Should run a nice race but may not reach the frame today in a competitive race if the ground is a mixture of soft and good-to-soft. Any further rain and the ground turning very soft may change that and increase his chance a lot.

On a good mark and form around him has worked out well. Coming back from a lay-off and entitled to come on for the run today. Stays well and this will be quite testing. Acts on soft and hoping this heavy ground will be wet enough for him to cope with and get through. Should go well but may just be a bit sharper next time out. Place chance.

Vue Cavaliere - Ran well last time but just a bit too free. Has a high cruising speed and good jumper so hoping the drop back in trip will help her for the moment. Plenty of horses in-form here and looks well-in, but hope she can make the frame here.

Will find life easier in nurseries and in great form. Trip probably a bit on the sharp side but does act on the track. Could run into a place here though.

Likes a sound surface and possibly a bit loose for her last time out - same thing happened at Ascot. Has a penalty and a competitive race here, but providing the ground is okay then should go well.

Quite a nice type, who jumps well but there are a few warm-looking ones in here in opposition, while our horse will probably fare better in handicaps. Just looking for a nice run really today.

Probably did a bit too much in front last time and arguably is better on a sound surface. Stays 3m and acts round the track so hoping for a good showing today. Competitive race with several improving sorts but expecting him to be there at the business end.

Won in good style over course and distance on last run back in Match. Has done well over the summer and gets the rain coming in time for her, which is her favoured conditions - wants it testing. Competitive little race but off a nice weight and should go close again with Ben riding (claiming 7lbs) again.

Finished last season on a good note when dropped to a more realistic mark. Arguably better over the brush hurdles and schooled well over fences at home. Doesn't have the benefit of Ben Godfrey's claim today but fences look more her forte and expecting a nice run, despite this looking a competitive contest.

Won his last two in good style - track should suit and fully wound-up for his return. Capable of winning again from this mark and should put up a bold performance.

Stays well and down to a better mark - drawn high though. Should be fine on the surface and has a useful 3lbs from Jane's claim. Needs an even gallop so a good position is crucial early on.

Won with plenty in-hand at Plumpton and suits a sound surface which she should get today. Has to carry a penalty for that, which is offset by Ben's claim but will clearly make it tougher in what looks a decent bumper. Should be in the mix.

Consistent sort in Points - good cruising speed, but lacks a gear at the end. Acts on any ground and is genuine though. Capable of being placed in an average bumper, but needs a strong gallop, which he will get today. Probably more of a staying hurdler but not slow.

The Blue Bower : Will hopefully be better suited today by today's track as just got found out again with the stiff finish at Salisbury latest. That race is working out well and I hope she can make the frame today. Would probably benefit from not being so forward early.

Lightning Bug : Race wasn't run to suit her last time as they crawled early and it developed into a sprint and she never settled early. Hopefully we will have an evenly run event, she handled the softer ground at Newbury and this stiffer track should suit as she is all about stamina. Hopeful of a better showing with a useful 5lbs off her back.

Top run to be third two runs back at Windsor - failed to build on that last time at Brighton but that was up a fulrong (7f). Just got a bit tired in the closing stages so the drop back to 6f a certain plus and if all 8 run then not without an e/w chance at a nice price. Jane Elliott also takes off a handy 3lbs.

Been crying out for further and should be more competitive now in handicaps. Still quite green and a bit on the weak side, but hopeful of a better showing today. May still need another run or two to settle fully though.

Hard to tell just how good a couple of the newcomers are, but with her weight allowance and previous experience that has to be a plus round here. Trip shouldn't be a problem if she settles early too. Hopeful she can go very close here today. 2 1/2 stars.

Best to put a line through her first run - second run was better but needs 7f. Likely to be better off in nurseries and just hoping for a respectable effort today in what looks a warmish race for the grade.

The Blue Bower - Ran a great race on her debut, despite having traffic problems and probably best to just strike a line through her last run. Hopeful of another decent effort today and she is worth a small each way at a decent price.

Ran well last time to finish fourth after encountering traffic problems and having to switch wide. In good order - Rain a positive and hoping she will go very close today.

Probably best to put a line through her last run as better than that. Would be at her best on decent ground so wouldn't want too much more rain. Just hoping for a better run today.

Very small but genuine filly. Looks a competitive race - stays very well and extremely tough but off the same terms as the favourite and with a couple of the newcomers looking decent on paper then likely to be playing for minor honours.

Goes well at home and although mainly looking for a nice introduction today, it would not surprise me if she were to run into a place. Is certainly fit.

Coming down to a more realistic handicap mark - track and brush hurdles should suit. Very genuine but one-paced. Big field but no reason why she shouldn't go well with Ben riding this one too and claiming a handy 7lbs. Each-way.

Didn't do a lot wrong last time with 12st 1lb to carry, as only 5 lengths from the winner. Has the help of Ben Godfrey's claim (7lbs) here today and if the going is genuinely good-to-soft that could put him right in the picture today.

Won with plenty in-hand last time and although carries a penalty here Ben's 7lb cancels that out today. Looks an extremely good each-way price despite the hotter contest is off effectively the same weight as last time.

Goes well and has a good cruising speed. Very genuine and straightforward sort. Ultimately a stayer but providing the ground eases to at least 'good' looks a very nice each-way price.

Probably wants the step back up to this trip on better ground - jumping tends to fall to pieces a bit under pressure and hopefully he can just take his time a bit more here. Off a nice weight and tongue-tie may help. Further rain a plus too.

Ran well enough last time with a lot of weight. Will need some rain to come but it's meant to and does have a chance on form with Ben's claim a further plus here today.

Vue Cavaliere - Ran well enough on her first start in a 0-130 off an opening mark of 121. Dropped 12lbs since and mark now much more fair - track against her last time, but a long-striding mare and should be more at home on this flat track. Capable jockey and has place claims here today. Capt Guy Disney rides.

The horses are running well at the moment, so let's hope that continues here. The track should suit her better than last time and she has a nice weight and should go well. Just a bit one-paced but should run her race - decent place claims still though.

Cracker Jak - Won comfortably at Newbury last time and despite an 8lb rise should still go very close today. Although 3m last time, this is a stiffer track so that will be fine and it will ride more like 3m as a result. Stays very strongly, plus any more showers is a bonus.

Strike The Flint - Ran well enough on her first start - possibly getting a bit stuck in the ground. Very fine type of mare and the quicker surface could well bring out improvement here today.

Ground should suit and will be able to handle the weight. In good form and should go well in this Grade Two. Is well at home.

Ran well enough last time at Exeter off an opening UK mark of 121. Has been dropped 6lbs but may require another ease in the weights before she can really get involved. Appears to have plenty of stamina in her home work and providing she settles early on (can be a bit free) could easily run into a place.

Good ground is okay but certainly doesn't want it too quick. 2 1/4 miles is generally his optimum trip and he should go well today.

Never travelling last time at Plumpton - seems in good form at home since though. Wouldn't want the ground to have dried out too much, which it might today with a sunny day expected. Generally better on soft ground as it slows everything down for the horse. Second run back after a wind op here too and it may be that mentally he needs a couple of runs before he hits form. All-in-all, probably best-watched today.

Still loving his racing at 11. Won two starts ago and didn't go too badly when 5th last time - both recent runs at Plumpton. Should have his ground today and although not very big appears to have plenty of Spring. Ran well at Hexham on his only start over fences and hopefully he will jump well and finish in the frame.

Cracker Jak - Has run well on his first two starts in handicap company - possibly a tad unlucky last time after being caught up in trouble in-running on the last circuit. Track should suit him well as should step up in trip. Each-way chance.

Won well two starts ago at Fontwell - but failed to follow-up off a 7lb higher mark last time. Down a few pounds for that and maybe the race came a bit soon (just 10 days apart). Still well-handicapped on old form but goes without saying not getting any younger at 12 years-old. Could probably have done with a bit more give underfoot too so any rain will help - if that comes that would help his chance a fair bit. In short, is capable but not the most consistent in his old age. 1 1/2 stars.

Has been running with credit and this looks on paper an easier race than last time - a bit further than last time, but was staying on at Taunton and I hope Ben's claim might make the difference here today.

Rosy World - Ran a good race at Fontwell on penultimate start and expecting her to go well on handicap debut. This should be more her trip as bred to stay.

Back to his old self on last start - this is a much stronger race but providing the going doesn't dry up too much could reach the frame again. In good heart.

Probably get this trip round here - but we'll have to see. Would hope the ground isn't hock-deep though and they can slosh though it. Competitive race though despite the small field.

Ran a nice race here last time and would have finished closer if he hadn't made a bad mistake on the final circuit. Has since had wind surgery and although he probably wants it a bit softer it hopefully can bring out some improvement in him. Course winner too and good amateur booked for this race.

Didn't enjoy Kempton last time and is better suited to more staying tracks Hood reapplied today and hopefully she will be a bit more manageable. Possible better suited to slower ground too but could still make the frame today if putting her best foot forward.

Cracker Jak - Ran a nice race at Kempton last time - staying on well. Is still learning but could reach the frame here off a nice weight.

Back on-song last time and provded that race hasn't taken too much out of him would have a chance again today. Several arrive in good form though, so this is expected to be tougher. Still each-way claims.

Off a stiff mark for UK hurdles debut - jumps well but probably wants a bit further than this in due course. However, the uphill finish should help. However, just looking to learn something today as a competitive field.

Pleasing effort after a long lay time off last time - was staying on and this trip should suit her better. Expecting her to run a nice race with the horses seeming to be going well at the moment.

This is a better trip for him today and has been working very well at home - has been quite headstrong the last two races and is still learning to settle. Will improve with further racing experience and even though we would not be surprised to see him run better than odds suggest may just need this run mentally.

Both her full sisters have finished second in the last two runnings of this race - this looks extremely competitive and plenty have previous experience. She has been working well though - however, you can make a case for quite a few of these horses today. No matter what, is certainly a horse to note going forward.

Obviously a hot race but she is a good mare in her own right. Ultimately a stayer, so the extra furlong and the hill could bring out further improvement again and acts on soft/heavy.

In good heart and dropped to an easier mark - hopefully the ground on the chase course is not too bad and if so he could sneak into a place, though it does look a competitive race.

Invicta Lake - Been running reasonably well the last few starts - had a few weeks off after several runs in quick succession and should hopefully go well again today with conditions fine.

Got outpaced last time over the 2m5f trip and should be a lot more comfortable over this extended 3m distance. May still be a little high in the weights but quite of the others look a bit in and out so that gives us small hope.

Little Boy Boru - Staying on last time and given a bit more help from the handicapper. This is a much easier race and could sneak into a place though.

Sisania - Been off a while so hoping for a nice run back. Is genuine and jumps well - probably wants a sounder surface bit if not too tiring could sneak a place.

Jumps slightly right, so this way round should help. Is well and has shown enough in past races to think we can be competitive here.

Cracker Jak - Geniune type - probably be happier on this slightly better ground and expect him to do better now in handicaps. Extra two furlongs will help too and should go well.

Lightly-raced old-timer and we are at least dropped 5lbs from last time when down the field at Warwick. Won't mind the ground and trip, plus has run okay here in the past. Is well at home so be delighted with a step forward but really we need to see it on the track first.

Rosy World - Looks between the Nicholls and Hobbs runners but we head here with a fair each-way chance too. Will be a lot better for her recent run at Plumpton after a break and we at least get 7lbs from the main players. That was also her first run over hurdles so would have learned a lot. Well for a small break too and any rain a plus - with just 4 career runs will have more to come. Each-way. 

Good mare - she was hanging right around Plumpton last time, which made it difficult for the jockey to ride her out. We believe we've got to the bottom of that issue and is bred to get this trip. Very warm race though and could do with further rain but expect a much better performance today from her.

Debestyman - Ran very well last time - improved for the step up in trip. Would want a bit more rain to get into the ground this afternoon though but there might be some in the air. We expect him to go very close today.

Should have learnt a lot from last time and probably better on slighlty nicer ground. However, will do better once handicapping.

Hopefully will settle a bit better and back up to his optimum trip here. Expecting a good run today with conditions to suit.

Jumps and stays well, plus likely to run with  credit but being realistic will find a few of these too strong for him today. Just wanting a nice introduction to hurdling.

Easier race for him today and has been dropped 5lbs. Trying to take some more weight off him here - however, ground probably not as heavy as he would like it but a better showing expected with a further 7lb off his back with Ben riding.

Hopeful of a better run this time - does stay but probably needs to come down in the handicap a bit more. 7lb claiming jockey on helps though on that front.

Made a hash of the last on his latest run and would have been second otherwise. Almost doing too much again in the blinkers and a drop in trip could help. Runs off 5lbs lower this time and a good performance expected.

Didn't give himself a chance last time by running way too free. If jumping and relaxing may run into a minor place but mainly hopeful of a good showing second time over hurdles as working well at home.

Possibly found the Sandown going too deep last time and was jumping off to his left - maybe as he couldn't pull his feet out of the ground. That was a hot race and hopefully they will go a bit steadier this time. Probably needs a handicap mark and just hopeful of a nice run for rather than confident - more experience where though.

Goes well round Fontwell, despite jumping a little right - second over this course and distance in a novice hurdle. May run into a place though as feels very good at home.

Ideal ground and trip for him. Had his first run back after 2 years off last time and likely to see a better effort today. May need further help from the handicapper though and this looks competitive.

Is a horse with a decent crusing speed and a willing attitude. Is better for recent 5th here after a break and will love the soft ground. Will be better in staying handicap hurdles in time. Could be an above average race with the Fry, Skelton and Greatrex horses respected but would not be surprised to see us hit the frame.

Travelled like the winner for the majority of the race last time - maybe being slightly too enthusiastic in the first-time blinkers. Ground is fine, dropped in trip and could be in the frame today if running a similar race.

Will love the ground and now into a handicap for the first time will help. We'll learn more about her mark after this but has shown ability at home. Looking for a step in the right direction and if some of the others don't handle the ground then could sneak into a place at a price. 1 1/2 stars.

Been off the track 2 years and handicapper has only dropped him 2lbs. Still retains his enthusiasm and acts on very heavy ground and this track. Not impossible he could run into a place but after 2 years off may be in need of the experience.

Ran well in a bumper lasst time - first run over hurdles today - looks a hot race today though and there will be better opportunities for him in due course. Just wanting a nice experience over hurdles here this time.

Bit of a rush to get him handicapped last year so probably ran him a bit quick between races. At first glance, doesn't look to be on the fairest of marks but should stay and the horse jumps well. Acts in soft too so that helps so overall with conditions coming for him hopeful of a good performance.

Has run well in this race before. Ground and trip are ideal and a genuine sort who should run his race. Is also better for recent return run at Newbury. Each-way if all 8 stand their ground.

Has a good cruising speed and a nice attitude. Stays well and acts in soft - hoping he can make the frame today.

Runs in snatches and likely to drop himself out and then stay on again at the end - course winner, but is also likely to have a second breathing operation this week which will hopefully make a difference too in future races.

This horse could be worth an each-way shout back over fences here today in it's preferred soft ground. Actually jumps well but tends to miss one and hit the fence hard so have to put blinkers on today to try and keep him concentrating. Very genuine and hope he will go well today.

A mare with a lot of ability and if putting in a good display of jumping we expect her to be involved in the finish here today.

Lost his way a bit the last few seasons and down the field here last time out. Showed promise the time before though at Newton Abbot but just hope the ground is soft enough for him. Hot race so really just looking to get going in the right direction with him but he's well - would just like more rain!

Nice sort that won well on debut in a NH Flat race at Plumpton. Has done well over the summer so nice to get going with him. Schooled well and looking for a nice run. Looks a hot race though so in at the deep end here but a horse we like and one to look out for.

This mare has plenty of ability - has been schooling well at home and had a useful sort in Lust For Life 5 lengths back in her bumper at Ascot so the form line is strong. Does, however, need it soft so hoping the rain will arrive before her race today - if it does it will give her a much better chance.

Huntingdon proved too sharp for him last time and this track will suit him much better. Would have an each-way shout on form but may need softer ground conditions than he will get today.

Really running for experience here again before he goes hurdling. Has got stronger over the summer but is ultimately a dour stayer and might be seen to better effect when hurdling over a trip as this is a warm-looking race today.

Usually very consistent and trying a slightly longer trip today. Will ride him a bit more patiently and hopefully with the ground not too testing will see it out. Each-way claims.

Ran well at Newton Abbot and would have an each-way squeak if reproducing that form. Happy enough with him at home though - can be sulky but runs at his best during the early season so that helps.

Was arguably in the process of putting in her best effort yet when falling three out at Exeter last time. This is a much hotter contest and likely some of these will prove too strong today - she will be better off with a handicap mark. However, if the ground continues to soften she has a mares' allowance and also Jack's claim so could sneak into a minor place as is a very genuine sort.

Tends to run in snatches despite a wind op. Not helped last time by very soft ground either. Hopeful he will put in a better display this time and just looking for an improved performance on a track that should suit him better.

Storm Patrol - Has plenty of ability - disappointing the last twice over hurdles. Possibly a non-stayer so dropping back in trip, despite pedigree suggesting otherwise. Hopeful of an improved showing and working well at home.

Went chasing last season and put in some good efforts too. Was a bit let down by some bad mistakes though, while last run over hurdles was probably over an inadequate trip. Is on good ground now as he is getting older (11), but rarely runs in this grade and quite possible based on that he could reach the frame at a nice price.

Three good runs in bumpers - including at this track. Ground should be fine but might ideally need slightly further than this. However, does receive the mares' allowance and hopefully we'll see a good introduction to hurdling today. Only 7 runners so not the best betting race but after the Henderson horse the places look up for grabs.

Clondaw Bisto - Been working nicely and schooling well over fences at home. Rain that's coming is a plus - will hopefully find things easier over fences and enjoy it a bit more. Hopeful of a positive performance.

Clondaw Cian - Goes best fresh and mark not totally beyond him but will still have to run to his very best to take this. Rain a plus and has run well at the track before too - hopefully will enjoy going back over the smaller obstacles as well. Possibility of running into a place providing he's in the mood.

Genuine sort of mare - may be suited by a stiffer test and track in due course, so just wanted a nice experience today. Paddy Brennan rides.

A one-paced horse but very genuine - ran well enough last time and hoping she puts in another fair effort. May not be enough to win though.

Hoping this extended trip may help her and the course will suit, though do have some concerns as to whether she puts it all in despite working well enough at home - so couldn't put her forward with confidence today until we see more on the track.

I like this horse. Ran in very holding ground last time and couldn't pull his feet out of it at all. Is mentally more switched on now and I hope he will go well today. Jack rides and also claims a handy 3lbs.

First run for us - hard to know what to expect on previous form but has been going well at home. However, does seem to lack a little confidence in herself so may be that she's best-watched today. Really we just want a positive effort so we can learn something going forward. Would not want the ground too soft but would be a non-runner if that were to happen.

Has ability - has been dropped a few pounds and this is an easier contest than last time. Chance of running into a place though today we feel.

All at sea last time on holding ground. Certainly has an engine and works well though - has come on mentally from his last run and would expect him to run a nice race here today.

Back over fences and didn't enjoy the rain softened ground last time. Has never done anything on good to soft so hoping he will put in a good effort today back on a sound surface.

In good heart and just had jumping blips over fences. However, would probably prefer a longer trip but has run well over course and distance before. Would ideally have been happier with slightly softer ground but can act on this too.

Ran a reasonable enough race at Plumpton first time over hurdles to warrant a place here. Jumps well and wants good ground though - but wouldn't want it too fast. This doesn't look too strong a race either with little depth outside the hot favourite - Secret Escape. Each-way.

Has won on good-to-firm and will probably appreciate this better ground. Should do better now in handicaps though and might need a bit further in due course. Think she could still be placed here though.

Has the ability but has been somewhat erratic when jumping - probably needs fast ground. We'll just hold her up today and try and get her to concentrate on her hurdling but, again, likely to need a handicap mark before we see her really competitive.

Hooded today as can be a bit keen. Probably needs a mark to get properly competitive though. Should go well but might just lack the speed of a couple of the others in the race.

Bold Image - Ran well for a long time last time at Kempton - looking as if she didn't quite stay. Don't feel she is particularly well-handicapped but is genuine and a similar run may put her in the frame.

Mare has plenty of ability but meets a couple of experienced rivals here. Ground fine but the track maybe a bit on the sharp side for her today. Still looking for a good round of jumping today and despite the tight track reservations she could still run into a place.

Had a very easy task last time and did it well. This is a more competitive race but still has a good chance again today. Has come out of that last race well and so expecting another big run.

Working nicely at home - better than her mark suggest. Hopefully she will put in a good effort today on the track - first run for us so hard to know whether she will translate that to the track but on her homework she could easily make the frame.

Has a good cruising speed and extra distance should help her today. Staying on both times she ran before - would not want the ground to get too quick but we head here hopeful of a good e/w run if that's the case. Jack rides and claims a handy 3lbs.

Has been off for a while but has been fit for months - just waiting for decent ground. Think he could go well today off this mark despite the absence.

Has been running well over fences but has also made a couple of costly mistakes. Ground at Wincanton latest was extremely testing and should be much happier on this surface. Warmish race and hopefully last time hasn't taken too much out of him but hope he can make the frame.

Ran well in a bumper round Lingfield - has schooled well over hurdles and really just want a nice introduction to hurdles. Not a particularly strong race though and could run into a minor place.

Temperamental sort but ran with enthusiasm at Cheltenham recently with the first-time blinkers applied - but just didn't quite see out the 4m trip. Soft ground and back into a handicap here will help. Gets in with a low weight too and that should help him today but hard to know if he'll put his best foot forward until the race starts - he's one of those! Seems mentally in a good place though so hope he goes well. Each-way claims.

Red Devil Star - Trip and course should suit and hopefully he can get his head in front today in a lesser race than he normally runs in. Only 3 other runners and Jack's 3lb claim a big plus. Hopeful of a big run.

Working well at home and ran a nice race last time when staying on at the finish. Hopefully will run another nice race today. Wouldn't wan the ground to deteriorate much further though. Jack Sherwood, who claims 3lbs, rides.

Sightly shorter trip ok here on this testing track. Usually runs his race and expect him to make the frame again here today. Tongue-tie back on today as runs a bit in snatches so hopefully that might help him a bit today. Decent e/w claims.

Rosy World - Has two good pieces of form behind her and fingers crossed she can get her head in front today. Some of these mares look well-bred but she is a good one in her own right.

Acts on the going and the track. Jumps well and genuine - though I think the handicapper has taken no chances with him on opening mark. Should run his race and could end up in the mix.

Ran well last time over slightly further. Able to cope with testing conditions and receives the mares' allowance. Should be capable of making the frame here and just depends whether the weight tells or not on the two fancied rivals.

Ran a good race last time when second at Kempton. If reproducing that effort and a clean round of jumping will go very close today. Would prefer soft to very heavy ground but he should cope with it ok. 

Should stay the trip and is in good heart. Hopefully will concentrate and not make a costly jumping error - if so is off a nice weight and if all 8 stand their ground looks a nice e/w price.

Fit and well - returns from an absence - just needs to settle and relax today. Looking for a nice introduction to hurdling but if jumping well could go close.

Invicta Lake - Very unlucky last time when unseating two out at Plumpton (7 lengths clear at the time) and although that track would possibly suit him better than Kempton he clearly has a good chance again here if jumping clear.

Jumps well and very genuine. Stays well too but will fid a couple too hot here and should fare better once into handicaps.

Acts on soft/heavy and stays well. Lacks a gear or two so may find a couple of these too quick today but could run into a minor place.

Stays well and has the ability but a bit moody. Has been freshened up for this race and will have the help of blinkers today. Jockey knows him well and if on a going day could put in a good effort. Heavy ground is not ideal but acts on soft and it may just slow things down.

Ran a great race on debut at Ascot. Has come out of that race well and a reproduction of that will hopefully see her go one better today. Jack claims 3lbs and knows the horse well as he was on last time too.

Ran well enough last time but makes hard work of it. Course winner and won't mind the ground. Blinkers applied today and if those work should go close again.

Working well and gets the 4 year-old allowance. Legal Eyes sets a high standard but we do like this horse - may just need the experience but hopeful of a good run and certainly one to look out for in the future.

Ran well when winning her bumper and extended trip again here should help. Wasn't right first time out this season and not concentrating last time over hurdles. This is different and although a couple of good ones could go very well at a big price I think we are worth a small e/w.

Moody Maggie - A nice mare. Ran a good race on debut (2nd Huntingdon) and should improve for the experience. Surface should be fine and so expecting another good effort today from her here.

Was travelling well when falling last week at Taunton. If no ill effects from that should go well here. Normally goes better on a good-to-soft surface, so hoping to get that here.

Working well and slightly better ground conditions in her favour. Trip is fine, but looks very badly handicapped on what she has achieved and could be 10lbs at least wrong.

Ran well after a lay-off to finish third over a trip on the short side. Same problem again today, though a little further. Does jump and is genuine, but could do with more of a test. May run into a minor place.

Won her bumper well and was found to be not right on her first start over hurdles this season. Better expected here but would probably benefit from an even better surface, however it is the first race so hoping it will be ok for her. In good heart at home.

In good heart and jumps well for a novice. Hopefully the ground will be a bit better than at Plumpton last time and he can sneak into a place.

Acts on the surface and she has her mares allowance. Ran a good race last time and hoping she will be very close again here.

Rosy World - Working well and out of a very good mare we trained. Her full sister was second in this race last year. Has a high crusing speed and acts on soft ground. Obviously a couple of good ones in here but we rate this mare despite being less experienced than some.

Stays 3m and acts on soft. Wouldn't want it too gluey. Hasn't had too much chance from the handicapper but would have a small each-way chance off a light weight.

Would ideally want further, but there is a lack of races for him. Just hoping for a reasonable run after a significant time off. At least has the jumping experience. This appears a two horse race though, unless one performs.

Moody Magic: Working nicely at home - this looks like it could turn out to be quite a useful bumper. That said, we are not without a chance of being placed as we head here fit and ready.

Dubai Dirham - Possibly used the wrong tactics on her last time and will be trying something different today. Works well enough at home to suggest that it wasn't her true showing last time and hope we see something more encouraging from her today. Tricky race to call with so many being lightly-raced, but hopeful of a lot better. 

Would ideally prefer slightly better ground, but stays well and has been schooling well at home. Fingers crossed he jumps well and puts in a good performance. Has the ability, but this is only his second run over fences.

Ran well last time at Exeter and has had a wind op since. Will love the ground and no reason why she shouldn't go well today - if the wind op improves him would have a great chance.

Likes the track and drops in grade here. Usually a very good jumper and although this is competitive would hope he is in the shake-up today off a nice weight.

Stays well and schools well too. Might not want the ground this heavy though. Race last time was run too slow for him and is at his best coming from off the pace in a strongly run contest. In good form though.

Ran a good race at Exeter last time and the form has worked out well. Has quite a bit of weight but expecting another good run and has won on heavy in the past too. Stays well.

Acts on soft ground but ideally would want further. Will be much better off once running in handicaps. Just hopeful of a pleasing run.

Goes well on soft ground and although he has a lot of weight has been crying out for further than 3m. Will not be easy under 11st12lbs, but may well enjoy himself at the slower pace.

Was hoping the ground would have been softer than it is as needs it to slow others down. 3 miles at Ascot suits him well but plenty of well-handicapped horses in here. Has a small chance but the ground would be key for him - the more rain the better!

Ran well the last couple of time and always gives the impression he should saty a bit further. Likes Ascot and in off a nice weight. Could go well.

Stays well and will be quite testing over 2m5f today. Off a good weight and has shown he has retained his enthusiasm after the last run. Could be placed.

Didn't have a great time of it last time and didn't have a clear sight of her hurdles Although she has won a bumper she is quite one-paced and the slower ground should, therefore, help her out. Acts on soft but this will be attritional. Could sneak a place is jumping well.

Red Devil Star - In good form and put up a good display last time at Lingfield (3rd). Would have preferred it if some of the rain could have got into the ground yesterday as will be quite tacky after lifting the covers off. But a stiff 2m should suit him better and has a good chance of being there at the finish.

Ran a great race at Ascot last time in a novice handicap off 130, will be no easy task here but provided there has been rain and if the ground goes soft would definitely have a chance. All about stamina and will come into his own upped in trip. 

Hook Lane Roobee - Big horse and ultimately will be a chaser in time. Goes well enough at home - one paced but keeps galloping. No real pedigree but could sneak a minor place.

Works nicely and has a good cruising speed and although she would like a bit further could make the frame here. Tom Cannon rides.

Clondaw Cian - Raced a little lazily last time, but finished strongly at Aintree - hence why the cheekpieces are on here today. Has the ability but no easy task at the weights.

Travelled well last time and just got tired in the soft ground after 2 years-off. We've won this race in the past and a good amateur on board. Goes well at the track and despite looking a competitive event we are down in grade and dropped 4lbs too - not without an each-way chance.

Won her bumper well and has schooled nicely over hurdles. A couple in here with very good form but she does carry less weight. If jumping well then capable of a top three finish.

Clondaw Bisto - Ran well enough last time at Plumpton but certainly a bit lazily. Cheekpieces on today and hopefully that will just get him focused a bit more. Each-way claims.

Red Devil Star - Expecting a good run from him today back over his usual trip. Generally a good jumper and hoping to be in the frame this afternoon.

Overwhelmed by the experience last time and didn't do a tap. Needs, however, to show us more on the track. Works better than her last appearance suggests, but just want to find out whether it's worth continuing with her today.

Goes well fresh and is a real stayer - the rain is a plus and first time over fences here, but schools well and is a previous point winner. Competitive little race but has a squeak.

Lovely individual but lacks the experience of these - only having had two runs. Over 18 hands and not suited to hurdles, hence why we are chasing so quickly. A strong race and we are just looking to gain some experience here today with a positive run.

Inadequate trip last time on good ground, hopefully he will be happier over this trip on this sort of surface. He was just flat out from start to finish last time and did nothing else wrong but has been a little disappointing of late.

Has had two years off but has been given a bit of a chance by the handicapper. Feels in good order and expect him to go well, provided the ground does not dry out any further. Any rain a plus.

Needs good ground, but fit and knows her job. Slight concern that the trip here might be a little on the stiff side - particularly if a strongly run race. Looks to be a few nice types here so just hopeful of a good showing.

Won her bumper well and clearly has ability. Needs a sound surface and is fit and well. This does, however, look a warm novice hurdle so just hoping for a good run. But does have a chance of running into a place if she jumps well.

Was a bit disappointing last season and think an early run at Towcester bottomed him out. Trying him on better ground and in a first time tongue tie and hoping a sounder surface might just help. Does have ability.

In good order at home and hoping he will get the trip today and it might bring out further improvement in him. Settling better in his races now and coped with 2m3f at Fontwell so he should be ok with this flat track. Any further rain not a problem as he prefers it on the easy side and although this looks competitive he could make the frame here.

Pulled hard and didn't settle or get the trip last time after a year off on his first run for us. Dropping him back to a mile today and will make use of him and see if that's the answer as he does have pace. Also on a more realistic handicap mark this time.

This is his first run for us, having been off the track a long time.  Goes well enough at home, using a hood to encourage him to settle early as can run off his nerves a bit. Bit of a learning curve for us today, hoping he runs a nice race for us but others look better in at the weights on what he has achieved so far.

A huge horse who would ideally prefer soft conditions. He is less experienced than the two horses in the 130s so I cannot realistically put him forward today.  Hoping he runs and jumps well and then he will be put away for the summer until the ground comes back in his favour. Ultimately a staying chaser.

Was a little free last time at Ascot and burn herself out a bit in the process. Is a tricky customer but does have ability and has a chance of getting in the first two on her best form.

Has not settled the last twice over hurdles and therefore has burnt himself out. Trying him back on the flat, in a first time hood and hoping to get a better run out of him. However, he will need a mark and a bit of time in order to start getting competitive.

Although some of his best form is on soft ground, he is actually a very good moving horse and may appreciate a better surface. Ground too holding for him last time at Fontwell and he did well to finish where he did. Think he can be placed here today - though would not want the ground too firm!

The rain came at Exeter last time and he can't cope with soft ground. At his best on a good surface - stays all day and has a chance of running into a place in what looks a competitive race.

This horse is a little on the keen side and is quite a tall individual who will strengthen up in time. He will probably fare better in handicaps and is likely to find a few too good for him today. This track will hopefully suit him better than Fontwell last time.

You can probably put a line through his last race at Newbury as his forte is his jumping and most of the fences were taken out because of the sun so it was not a proper test. The extra furlong will help here, he likes the track and has a nice weight (Jack probably can't do 9.11lbs though so expect him to run off 9.12 or 9.13lbs) the negative is if it gets fast. Has come out of the race well last week but competitive race.

Has plenty of ability but very clever and needs someone down at the start to make sure she jumps off.  Worked out where the exit was last time at Kempton but has never run here at Ascot and we will be trying to keep all angles covered. Acts on a sound surface and if behaving herself could easily make the first three.

Huntress - Ran well at Lingfield last time out and was very green on her first start at Plumpton so worth putting a line through that. The extra distance should help her here and she has an each-way chance.

May prefer better ground to that he has been running on recently and trip fine. However, concern is ground may now be too fast today, in which case he may well be a non-runner later - we'll see when we get to the track.

Very consistent and closely-matched with Greybougg. Sure to run his race but not easy to pick the winner. Does not want the ground to dry out too much as good-to-soft ideal.

Put up a good performance last time out at Taunton on a track that really would be a bit too sharp for him. This looks a better contest but if the ground remains good would likely have an each-way squeak. He is one-paced but very genuine providing he has a sound enough surface.

Quite a useful little mare, acts on good ground and should appreciate the step up in trip today. Not always the easiest at the start and lost a lot of ground in her first hurdle last time and did incredibly well to finish so close. Providing she jumps off well I would expect to see a good run from her and hope she can sneak into a place. 

Clearly stays extremely well and off a nice weight here. Significantly better left-handed and at Warwick the ground was too holding for him. Only beaten 9 lengths last time and has an 11lb turnaround with the winner at Exeter today. Stiff finish should suit, but would ideally want good-to-soft ground so depends how much water has gone on overnight. Not without an outside squeak on his best form. Wearing cheekpieces to sharpen him up.

Red Devil Star - Unlucky last time on this track when being brought down. In good heart and hoping he will run a good race today. However, too much rain would be a negative, but we are the first chase on the card so hopefully the ground won't get too bad - conditions are described as fine at 9am today.

Has not run up to his best the last twice - however, is very well at home and just seeing today if a slight drop back in trip may help as his best form is over shorter. Was second to Peak to Peak over 2m1f here earlier this season and that horse now carries a penalty. Not sure he can win today as others look well-in at the weights, but may pick up a minor place at a good price.

Ran a very good race at Huntingdon on debut to finish 2 lengths behind a more experienced rival in My Khaleesi. This mare subsequently dead-heated in the mares listed event at Cheltenham. Storm Patrol got injured n a messy race at Aintree - hence the time off - but is working well now and should put up a good showing today.

Had a lot of weight to contend with last time in very testing conditions, This is a strong race and our main objective is to finish in the first six to qualify for the final in March. He is probably slightly better left-handed but is in good form at home and hopeful of a nice run today. 

Had one educational run where she missed the start. Ended up at the back and was very green with no company. However, despite this she didn't lose any ground and has sharpened up mentally since. Had a racecourse gallop on the surface last week and enjoyed herself so hopeful of a more positive experience.

Can't be sure how good the Hobbs horse is but definitely has a shout on his form. Conditions should be ideal for him today as likes the ground wet rather than holding. Didn't enjoy himself last time but got quite crowded early and also appeared a bit more stressed than usual before the race, hence running him locally today and back in a novice to get his confidence.  Should go well.

King Charlie - Seemed to prefer the better ground at Fontwell the first time - fairly gluey last time and he got tired in it. Just has the one pace but jumps very well. Ground probably quite lively so depends how fast they go but fingers crossed and we think he's got a good each-way chance.

Ran a gutsy race last time when winning at Ascot and is full of confidence (had Champagne At Tara in second that day). Doesn't have Jack's 3lb claim today, but has run well at Newbury before and Micheal Nolan has won on him before. Would not want the ground too gluey, but hopefully he can go close again today.

Being out of the handicap here is not a concern in this race for me as he has finished 2nd and 5th the last two years under similar conditions.  At his best in a strongly run race over this sort of trip. He is not very big but can operate well off ten stone in decent races. However, the key to him is soft ground and I was hoping after 17mm of rain on Thursday the going might have eased. The going report remains the same, although they are just lifting the covers off at the time of writing but if it is mainly dead, good to soft ground he will almost certainly be a non-runner.

Has top weight in a competitive race on what is likely to be very testing ground. The extra trip should help him but realistically is here to hopefully finish in the first six to qualify for the final and if he gets in the three it will be a bonus, though I realise that is not an easy task.  In good form and I hope he goes well.

At his best on bottomless ground, which to be honest, the horses weren't getting into at Plumpton and so best to put a line through that run.  Seems very happy at home but jumping last time left a lot to be desired and if he runs like that again he will be retired.  It is not uncommon for him though to put in a bad display of jumping early in the season.  Hopefully we will see an improvement from last time.

Off quite a nice weight, though competitive race but has run well in both his novices so far. May lack the hurdling experience of some of these but certainly has ability and hoping he will go close here. Any overnight rain a plus as at his best on soft ground.

A teenager now at 13 years-old but still loving his racing. Big day for jockey Graham Carson in the plate, hoping that Beau Lake can get him in the frame or his first win over hurdles. This horse will love the ground and also seems to like it here at Plumpton - has won here three times. Better for his recent run at Lingfield on his first run back for 9 1/2 months under today's jockey so being dropped 3lbs then is weighted to go well in conditions he'll love. Looks an each-way price.

A huge horse, that is undoubtedly in need of a fence.  However, would like some more racecourse experience first but he definitely has an engine. Not impossible he could make the frame here if he takes to the hurdles.

A few in with chances but really pleased with his last run. Jumped really well and stays forever. Seemed to enjoy himself there last time and hopeful he can make the frame again. In good order.

I quite like this horse, probably best to put a line through his run on the flat. Works nicely and if he settles early and jumps well I think he could run a reasonable race. Will appreciate getting his toe in and good to soft ideal. Hoping for a good effort.

Little Boy Boru - Not won for a while now and first run back since April. As a result is slipping back down the handicap and the soft ground here is a plus. Has been doing plenty of work at home and Jack - who rode a winner for us yesterday - takes off a handy 3lbs. Tough race, but off this mark and in conditions that will suit must have an each-way chance.

Red Devil Star - Ground will probably suit better than last time - jumps well and in fine form. Competitive race, but not without a squeak!

Won her point start and second horse has come out and won her bumper so the form is holding up. Working well at home and if settles well here should go very close.

Ideally wants very soft ground, but the longer trip here should help. Has decent form so far and jumping should improve for the trip. We expect him to go well.

Hoping we don't get any more rain. Made a noise last time and could have been the deterorating ground. Plenty in with chances when looking at the rest of the field, but could be in the mix if reproducing his best form.

King Charlie: Has been disappointing - going from travelling really well to cutting out quickly. Hoping he will find things easier in this grade and might enjoy it a bit more. Can't say with any confidence that it will make a difference though - we'll learn a lot more after today.

Should go well - might not have as much chasing experience as some of these but has potential. If he jumps round well then should be there at the business end. Jack Sherwood now rides with Exeter off (he rode him last time) and so his 5lb claim a further plus.

Has been running off marks too high for him and think it's disappointed him a bit. Starting to come down to a better mark, but tends to operate at his best in very wet ground. Likely to be sticky here today and generally needs a run to return to his best. In good form at home though.

A huge chasing type, he is having his first run over hurdles mainly to give him a bit more experience before chasing. This is a hot contest so not expecting to win this but he is a horse I think a great deal of - fences will be the making of him in time. Has a very high cruising speed but may lack the gears of some of these today.

Had some bits of reasonable form lat year - ran a strange sort of race last time out and thought his wind might have been catching him out. Operated on his soft palette since and that will hopefully help. Hoping for a top 3 finish.

Non Runner

Red Devil Star - Is in great form at home and ran well in his first start over fences last time jumping really well. This looks competitive but hopefully Jack's claim will help. The rain is a plus, would prefer good-to-soft ground. Hoping for a first three finish.

This horse was cutting out in his races last season as if something was amiss. Has since had a wind op and just hoping he doesn't do it today. Even if it has worked he will probably need a handicap mark to get competitive so really just wanting to learn something from this run.

Goes nicely at home, but may be better as a 5 year-old. That said, we are still hoping for a good run, but this is a warm bumper. Not sure she can win it but be delighted in finish in the first four.

Rate this horse a lot - would prefer the ground a bit softer than the good-to-soft (good in places) at present though. Hot little race but should be in the three and if the ground was turn get softer than I think would be hard to beat.

Clondaw Cian - This this horse is on a fair mark for handicaps and is fresh and well. The Sandown race back in December last year took a bit of a toll on him. Trip is fine and any rain a big plus. Hopeful of a good run in a competitive race.

Rain came last time and the ground turned soft which probably wasn't up her street. Made it too much of a stamina test and should be better suited by today's conditions. Has plenty of speed and I hope she will be in the frame.

Bold Image - Goes well enough at home to suggest she might run into a place in an average-looking bumper. Would not want the ground to dry out and inclined to get a bit buzzy, but might be worth a small each-way at a big price.

Course winner over hurdles here, but chase debut today. Schools well over fences at home, but obviously would need one of the top-rated horses (As De Mee & Charmix) to not perform to their mark in order to finish in the top two. So really just hoping for a good introduction to chasing for him on this occasion.

So She Says, goes well at home and I would be hoping for a good run for her. Can just get a bit buzzy and hard to tell how she will take the occasion but could well be in the shakeup. Much more rain a negative.

Ourmanmassini - Has been very disappointing of late, albeit he may appreciate a bit further now we are into summer jumping.  Ground has been very fast the last few runs. Probably his last chance today and cannot be confident about him at this stage although at least he normally runs some sort of race. Probably needs another 5lb drop from the handicapper.

Tricky horse and probably would want a bit further on this ground. However, most of these look exposed as well so can't be ruled out of at least reaching the frame. Was in the process of staying on when he got badly squeezed-up the home straight last time and no doubt would have been closer without that incident. Each-way claims.

Jumping not good last time and unseated Jack at the second. Was schooled at home yesterday and was fine.  Plenty in here with chances this time and it would have to be a career-best to win it but could be worth a small each way.  Running in foal - covered on the 18th May.  This will be her last run unless she runs extremely well.

Three non-runners at this stage. Goes well fresh but 7lb rise and 11.12lb to carry is a negative as a small mare. However, this is not a strong race though would ideally want slightly easier ground - any rain a plus. Jockey, Jack Sherwood, gets on with her well and hopeful despite the weight as this is tantamount to a seller. 

Ourmanmassini, A frustrating horse, which tends to hang right and is an awkward ride. Has it in him to be a contender but there are several here with chances despite the handicapper starting to give him a chance.  Place claim.

Seems happier if he can dominate and has blinkers applied today. Again, ground wouldn't want to be too quick. Not one to 100% rely on as a tricky customer but does have the capability to go close.

Ran well at Fontwell last time - up again in the weights for that, but stayed well that day and should get this trip on this flatter track - doesn't want the ground too fast though.

Quite a nice little mare and schooling well at home. Should run a nice race but will probably appreciate a slightly stiffer test than this. Track and ground fine but a couple may prove too speedy for her today.

Not a strong race on paper but there are a couple of horses that could be useful. Had a nasty cut after his last run which meant a long period of walking and would have preferred to have got a couple more pieces of work into him but nevertheless should be there at the business end.  Has not been hanging right in the finishing stages as badly as in the past which is where his biggest problem has been.  Showers would be a plus.

Extra furlong should help and less holding ground.  In good form and he has a strong chance today.

Red Devil Star - Pleased with his run at Chepstow, ground was very gluey and he stuck to his task.  Winner was very well in on that occasion and if he runs as well as he did at Chepstow he should be in the shake up today. Good-to-soft ground ideal.

Off a nice weight today and would have a good chance on the best of his form. Quite ground dependant and needs it soft, but also preferably a wet soft which I'm not sure we will get.

Track should be fine and ground probably better for him - wants it good-to-soft  or a little softer. Does have an e/w squeak if putting his best foot forward as didn't stay last time out.

I think quite a bit of this mare and made a very pleasing start to her career at Huntingdon. Extra distance a plus and rain softened ground no problem. Working well and should have benefited from the experience last time.

Rain overnight is not ideal, but the track should suit. Only ran at Lingfield last time to get a race into her before this and that was too sharp for her. Extra distance here more in her favour. However, if the ground appears too soft she may be a non-runner anyhow.

Has nearly always had a mishap in his races but put his best foot forward last time when second - confirming the ability we knew he had. Extra distance may well be the making of him and should go well.

Goes well fresh and usually runs his race. Ground/trip/track all fine but is on an all-time high handicap mark which has to make him vulnerable at his age. Hope he can still make the frame.

Has been extremely disappointing last two starts for us - travelling well then cutting out as if something amiss. Has since been scoped at Lingfield and soft palette appears it could be unstable so trying a tongue-tie today. Always works well at home so I would take a run to find out and I have no idea which way it could go - though the favourite is probably too decent anyway.

Bit disappointing last start. Has at least been dropped a few pounds and has Jack's 5lb claim. Is settling better nowadays so trip should be ok. Should have every chance of being in the frame.

Should be capable of taking this but unlikely to be a walk in the park. The gluey/holding ground conditions are the main worry and the second favourite looks to have plenty of ability also. In nicer or wetter conditions though I would be extremely confident.

Likes Sandown and ground conditions are in his favour here. Quite a competitive race on paper and possible to make a case for plenty but shouldn't be underestimated and seldom runs a bad race. Could be worth a small each-way.

This mare is quite useful and ran a very good race at Fontwell on her last start.  Needs good ground, hence she is running on the all weather today. Not the best track for her, would prefer more emphasis on stamina, but keen to get a run into her and we shall ensure it is run at a good pace.  Didnt have the best start here at Lingfield when she first ran here, was kicked twice at the start and got fractious - so didn't get her true reading.  Should be in the frame.

Working well and likes Newbury.  May be a bit high in the handicap for what he has achieved so far but off a nice weight today. Possibility of getting into a place.

Fin D'Espere - An unlucky individual, who was going quite nicely when he fell heavily on his last start. Track should suit, would not want the ground too sticky and hoping he could make the frame here if things go his way. Does not have gears so a good even gallop would suit.

Form of his bumper win was franked yesterday by King Uther winning his bumper well at Fontwell. Hope he is up to defying a penalty and think he has a strong chance here.

Mariet - Only downside is the ground could be too gluey for her. Goes well fresh - Might be a bit keen but could have place claims here. Likes the track.

Could do with coming down the weights a bit. Did not enjoy the heavy ground last time but certainly did not want to put in much effort either. Cheekpieces applied and hoping that shakes her up a bit. Needs stoking up.

Ran very well at Market Rasen, unfortunately coming up against a well handicapped horse - who runs again in our race today. Handicapper gives him no chances and it was frustrating to go back up in the weights again when he was just starting to be somewhere near he should be. Place claims again.

Was disappointing in a Kempton bumper latest. He actually works well enough at home, will appreciate further but this is not a great novice hurdle and it would be nice to see him finish well. I think he will improve for the hurdles.

Has been far too high in the handicap this season and probably starting to come down to a better mark though others look well in here.  Loves soft/heavy ground providing it is wet and not holding.  Minor chance of running into a place if cheek pieces rev him up and ground ok but possibly still needs more help from the handicapper to get back to winning ways at the age of 12.

Working nicely, obviously there could be a few untried, very useful horses here but he has racecourse experience and a good cruising speed. Might sneak into a minor place here. Worth a small each-way.

A competitive mares' bumper.  However, Storm Patrol has been working very well at home and if that relates to the track today she should go close.  She is not green and knows her job and a good run expected.

Loves heavy ground but could do with a bit more help from the handicapper now he is older.  Have been struggling to find a race for him as he must go left handed and everything keeps getting called off so I would not read too much into the longest traveller! Just hope he runs well and makes the frame.

Ran well in the Lanzarote again and seems more settled than he has been for a while so hoping he can see out the longer trip here. Will need the rain to arrive in time.  At his best with a very light weight and could sneak into a place.

Seems in good heart after a nice performance at Huntingdon.  Stays forever and is off an even better weight than last year.  Could do with a bit of rain through today to loosen the ground up as it will probably be very holding at present. Could stay on into a place if rain does appear.

Clondaw Bisto - Works well enough at home to suggest he could go close in a bumper.  Extreme ground conditions maybe might find him out but stays well and is not slow. Soft ground would not have been a problem, hoping it is just very wet so they go through it.

Should be better for a step up in trip, acts in soft but this will be very testing. One paced and stays might sneak into a place.

Has plenty of ability and maybe the race came a bit soon for him last time. Should get a stronger pace here which should help but very good race and I would be delighted to finish in the frame which he does stand a chance of at big odds.

Trip and ground fine and could have chance of getting in the frame here off this sort of weight. Is in good heart and I would be disappointed if he does not run a good race.

Has a level of ability but some of these might be a bit strong.  Would ideally be suited to slightly better ground but was in the process of running a fair race round Kempton before making a terrible mistake. Minor chance of sneaking into a place.

Ourmanmassini - Conditions should be ok and he is going well at home. Finally coming down the weights to a half-sensible mark and would be worth a small e/w.

Little Boy Boru is 5lbs out of the handicap but was 6lbs wrong last year when second in the race behind a very well-handicapped Tea For Two. At his best in a strongly run race with a lightweight in testing conditions, so with that in mind could make the frame again here. Race was run too slowly for him last time out.

Should be suited by a step up in trip but these conditions will be very demanding.  Only second run over fences but jumped well on his first start.  Could sneak into a place but would feel more confident on better ground.

This is a good horse and will act on heavy though last time it was too holding for him.  It is tough carrying a penalty in these conditions and there are a couple of useful ones carrying less but is fresh and well and won't be far away.

Trip, ground and course right up his street. In fact, won this race last year and was harshly treated by the handicapper after. Starting to drop a bit in the ratings, but still above his winning mark. Have put Mikey Legg on to take off the 7lbs though which will help. The ground should be very testing which is the key to him - Each-way chance.

Schools well over fences at home and fit and well. Probably still needs more help from the handicapper but hoping fences might bring about an improvement in him. Race is competitive but could sneak into a place if clean round of jumping.

Fin D Espere: Has been unlucky every time he has run so far but does have a bit of ability. There is a chance he could run into a place here providing the ground is not too testing. 

Didn't run badly last time, probably got shuffled a bit too far back through the field early doors and then stayed on.  Didn't hang right in the finish which was a positive and hope he can make the frame in what looks a slightly lesser grade race. Hope the extra couple of pounds off from Mikey Legg's claim will help as handicapped high enough still.

Loves the mud and is at his best when conditions are heavy. Going report only showing 1mm of rain overnight which is not ideal as ground will be very tacky. If the ground is wet I would give him a much stronger chance. Will be better for having his last run but handicap mark still a bit high - place claims.

Ran well at Plumpton on her first start over hurdles - probably best to put a line though her last run. Enjoys soft ground and will stay but is vulnerable to speedier types and will do better in handicaps in time.

Was running very well at Sandown on his last start when falling two out but Tom O Brien felt he might be better suited to a flatter track so hence we are here today. He is in good form and has schooled well since and it certainly has not knocked his confidence. This race looks quite competitive with quite a few horses you could make a case for but he should go well.

Clondaw Cian - Trip and ground should be fine. Just hope the ground is not holding. Seemed like the ideal race for him the only worry is if it has come a bit quick, happy enough at home with him so entitled to take his chance here today. Should go well.

Has ability but hangs right in the closing stages. We are taking 5lb off today with Harry riding which I hope might help but a difficult ride. May run into a place. He is fit so time off not a concern.

The favourite clearly sets the standard here but does have to cope with a penalty. Clondaw Cian is very tough, jumps well and has won a point on heavy so has plenty of stamina as well as gears so hoping he can go close here.

Very genuine and should get this trip on a flatish track. Ground is key to him and would not want it to have dried too much. I don't think this is the strongest race and he would have a good each-way chance.

Handles very testing conditions and has a nice weight, though handicapper probably has hold of him now and this is a competitive race. May run into a place as some of these don't look like conditions will suit them. Think he will be better for a run though.

Laughton Park: Loves this track and course, ground might be an issue but clerk of the course said this morning it is a long way from winter ground so should be ok. Strong winds helping. Ran well at Fontwell last time and straight-forward so if ground ok would have an each-way chance.

Likes it round here but the race looks very competitive this year. Expect him to run well but could probably do with a bit more help from the handicapper.

A very big long-striding galloper - would not want the ground too testing. Is over 17 hands and only a 4 year-old so is still filling his frame. Would have an each-way squeak here but there are a few decent horses with prior racecourse experience. Working nicely at home though.

Has run consistently well in novice hurdles - would not want the ground very soft. Has plenty of ability and probably will have come on the run from last time. However, others look better treated by the handicapper - still unlikely to run a bad race.

Won this race 12 months ago, but that was carrying a stone less than today. Seems well after a break and the softer the ground the better. Can't see him running a bad race, but the weight might just tell today.

Clondaw Cian: This horse ran very well last time out for us at Newton Abbot. Extra distance here should help, relentless galloper who is not devoid of speed either.  Soft ground not an issue - he won his point-to-point on heavy. Seems to be a big price and surely should be backed each-way. Good chance.

I quite like this horse and think he's a bigger price than he should be. Just want a nice experience for him first time over hurdles, but not impossible he could run into third place.

This race looks very competitive and Laughton Park is probably handicapped a little high at present.  Hoping for ground to be on the easier side of good.  He is fit enough to do himself justice but will probably need an easier race to get his head in front.

Ran very well at Newbury at the back end of last season behind two useful types. Fontwell might not be the ideal track for him but he does have ability and the extra couple of furlongs should help. Any rain a plus and would expect him to run well here.

Going well at home and won this race last year - trip ideal but does have top-weight and 11lbs more this time. However, should still go well. 

Was in the process of running a fair race at Fontwell over an inadequate distance when carried wide on the home turn. A big long-striding horse that will improve with time. Will benefit for the experience today but will likely find a couple too strong here.

Clondaw Cian: Goes well at home and has plenty of stamina - would not want the ground to dry out too much but good-to-soft ideal. Would be surprised if he didn't run well and could be worth an e/w here at a decent price.

Is in good form after a break - had a bleed from the nose on last start when pulled-up at Kempton. Track and ground should be ideal but the Nicholls horse, in-particular, looks likely to be very hard to beat here.

Jennifer Eccles: Put in a couple of decent efforts last season in bumpers and the extra couple of furlongs here should help. Going well at home and should be in the frame here. Is much more mature this term.

Has shown nothing so far in two races and this is her last chance today to show some improvement.

Probably needs further and would be better on turf but this is an ordinary race and would hope she can run better here.  Should be sharper after returning from a lenghty break last time also.

Very genuine and trip should suit. Bred to stay. Would hope she will be in more of her comfort zone and travel a bit better than she has done in the past. Hopeful of a good run.

Really a Plumpton specialist but in good order and should run well here on ground that should be right up his street.  The rise in the weights not ideal but this is not the strongest of races.

Ran a blinder last time but up in the weights for that and Freddie Mitchell (who now will take the ride as Henderson's does not run) can only claim 3lb here as opposed to 7lb.  Sure to run his race and loves this track but whether the hike in the weights today will stop him I don't know. Continues to surprise me round here and is in very good form at home.

Probably would appreciate a stiffer test than this and further rain would help.  Undulations of the track probably not ideal but she is very genuine and hopeful of a good first run for us.  I would like to see her staying on at the end.  Luke Morris now rides her as his is a non runner in the race.

Has enough ability to land one of these but tends to hang right in the closing stages costing him the race.  He is his own worst enemy really as he is always there or there abouts and so never gets any help from the handicapper.  Tongue tie left off today but unlikely to make a difference either way. Tom O Brien suggested trying him without it. Sure to be somewhere near the finish and things will go his way one day.

A nice horse I think but will probably appreciate further than this and a more galloping track. Is running here because of the ground probably being safer than elsewhere. Should go well but not the perfect distance for him though looks as though others are in the same boat. Just want a nice introduction for him.

A horse with plenty of ability but tends to throw his races away in the closing stages. Does have a real squeak but is becoming frustrating.

Been a little disappointing the last twice but hope to have freshened him up for this.  Has always gone well on this track and provided the ground is not turning good to firm could sneak into a place.

Threw away her chances by hanging right last time and should be better off on todays track.  Reasonable each way chance here.

This horse has plenty of ability but hard to predict if he will even jump off today as he planted himself at the start.  If he jumps and goes with them I would think he has a good chance but the time before he was very slowly away giving them about 10 lengths.  Probably best to back him after they have jumped off if possible.

This horse has plenty of ability and a ten pound rise seems fair. However, can be tricky at the start and was very slowly away last time. Stays well and if he jumps off with them should go very close even in this warmer contest.

Laughton Park: Loves it round here and is not too badly off with his 7lb claimer. Will not run if the ground is too quick but hope he is capable of making the frame. Does not have the pace of our other horse but does have a little each way squeak at the weights.

Non Runner

Ran well on her first start over hurdles staying on well at the finish. Probably will need a stiffer test in time and likely to find a few of these too strong.  Will fare better in handicaps but very genuine and hope she runs well.

Race was not run to suit her last time as they went very slow and then it developed into a sprint. Jack Sherwood gets on with her well and conditions are fine. The only thing against her is the weight she is carrying here as she is small but she is in good heart and I hope she can make the frame here today.

Red Devil Star - Ran well on his first start over hurdles and expect him to go well again. Does have an each way chance today with that run under his belt.

Has ability and has run well round here before.  Hoping he will go close on this better ground.  Tricky ride can throw it away in closing stages by hanging right but working really well.

Likes it round here and ground was a bit tacky for her last time.  Has a featherweight which will help her as she is small.  Stronger race but has a chance of running into a place.

Very disappointing last time.  Hoping it was just the occasion that got to her as she went overnight and didn't enjoy it.  Obviously this looks a one horse race but she does work ok and just hoping for a better run.

Better on a bit of nice ground and always gives the impression 3miles will not be a problem for him.  Weaker race than last time when he had a tired fall but more hopeful rather than confident of running into a minor place.  Probably a bit high in the handicap.

Jennifer Eccles - This mare definitely has ability and didn't have the nicest time at the start last time after being kicked twice and she became quite fractious. Things should be better for her round here and I would hope she has an each way chance.

Red Devil Star - A very good jumper and is starting to settle down a bit now. Works well but would not want the ground fast.  Nice good ground is fine and he has ability but might not have the speed of a couple of the flat horses and the favourite looks hard to beat. However, I will be disappointed if he does not run well.

Ground was way too soft for him last time over fences here and he still put in a reasonable round of jumping.  Could do with a bit of help from the handicapper but this race might not be that strong. Should go well.

Has run two good races for us. Two miles is her trip and should prefer the surface at Wolverhampton. Very genuine and sure to run her race but there are a few in here with chances. Would hope she is in the three.

Ran on desperate ground in a Fontwell bumper staying on. Has improved a bit mentally from that run and is schooling well.  Has some ability but will fare better in handicaps.  Fourth place is probably the best we can hope for here unless any of the top three don't run to their form.  Not the quickest but hoping a step up in trip will help and is genuine.

Disappointing last time but may have come too quick after his Sandown win. The 9lb rise is probably a bit much especially in a race that looks this hot. Our other horse is better handicapped but hopeful of a good run as he acts on the track. 

Has a fair chance on form now dropped back down the handicap. Main worry is the ground drying - needs at least soft to be effective.  If it has dried significantly he will be pulled out.

Azabitmour - Should improve for the step up in trip and Tom O Brien gets on with him well. Possibly not the best handicapped horse in the race but working well and hopeful of a good run.

Would have an each way squeak here if ground does not deteriorate.  Slight concern that this flat track might not suit him as well but seems in good heart and should have come on a bit for his last run albeit up another 4lbs.

Koos - Ran well last time after a year off and is working better now. Should hopefully be in the three.

Been unlucky the last twice running into very well handicapped horses and having bad draws. Competitive race but has a fair chance from the foot of the weights.

Would have to have a couple to underperform to get in the two here but quite possible he could be third in this race. Going well and is not a novice jumper.  Can stay 3miles on a flatish track if the going is not too desperate.

Up 9lbs for his last win but is working better than ever. Would not want the ground holding but 3miles plus is right up his street. Competitive qualifier but should go well.

Mariet has been working and schooling very well and nothing wrong with her last two hurdles outings. Only slight concern is how sticky the ground might be.  She is small and does not always jump that well out of tacky ground - If it doesn't look too bad she would hold good claims here.

Red Devil Star: I like this horse a lot and he is just starting to switch off a bit as he can be a bit keen. Should go well today and I would hope he can be in the frame.

Laughton Park: Up 12lbs for his last win which I thought was a bit harsh. Returning from a ten month absence and can be a bit of a stuffy/lazy horse at home. Not the strongest race for the grade but he will come on for the run. Might sneak into a place.

Going well at home and it is best to put a line through his last run as it was a very slow pace that turned into a sprint finish.  There are a couple of improving horses in the race but he probably has the most proven form over the trip. Shouldn't be far away.

Invicta Lake: Unlucky when falling last time at Cheltenham and has finished close enough in two decent handicaps there previously.  If the ground is not too bad should go well from a nice weight.  Worked very well on Wednesday.

Ground conditions should be up his street here and off a light weight could see him making the frame.  Stays further than this but has pace as well.  It was a very decent run last time in the Lanzarote.

Brave Decision: Ran his best race ever last time and remains in good form.  Expect him to go well here and track should suit.  Should go very close.

Koos: Came to us with a trapped epiglottiis (the flap at the base of the tongue) which was impeding her air intake by 50%. Has had surgery on this and hopefully she will be able to finish her races better.  She is fit but has obviously had a long time off.  Bred to stay and has had form over 1m6f early in her career. Might be worth a little each way if she is a decent price.  She could be a little keen after such a long lay-off though.

Brave Decision: Always seems to run his race but up 4lbs and will need to improve further to win this.  Hasn't got the best of draws either. He is genuine and will not be too far away. 

Little Boy Boru - Six pounds out of the handicap and may find this track a bit sharp. However, thoroughly genuine and has plenty of stamina and has a small each way squeak at 9st 9lb if ground is testing. More rain will help as ground probably very holding now.

Has run two very good races over hurdles latest and is capable of winning on the flat.  Has the assistance of Luke Morris today and should go well.  The only slight worry is that she is not a great traveller in the horsebox and we normally try to keep her closer to home.

A full sister to two black type mares we had. Has been working well and hopeful of a good run. Will stay further in time but not devoid of pace.

Brave Decision: Should run a good race but will need a couple to underperform on these terms in order to win this. More hopeful of a place.

Wasn't a strong enough pace for him last time and fingers crossed things work out for him today.  Has been in good order and would hope he can run into a place.

Ran very well last time at Wolverhampton in a much stronger race.  Up 2lb for that but a repeat of that performance should see him go very close here.

Bit disappointing last time over fences but grounds was way too soft for him.  Put in an excellent effort at Cheltenham the time before though and a repeat of that would be enough for him to go very close here.  Has a tendency to hang right which makes things hard in the closing stages.  Worth an each way.

This is the horse's second preference in cast frost causes a problem at Huntingdon. Likes the track and should make the frame if we go here.  Did not stay 3m last time.  LIKELY NON RUNNER - 1st PREFERENCE HUNTINGDON.

Beau Lake: Been running well of late.  This is a trappy race.  Lingfield last time was almost 2m4f and we thought the trip would stretch him.  This is more suitable though would have preferred a bit more rain.  Nevertheless should go well.

Can be forgiven his last run as he simply didn't stay 3m. Should be capable of reaching the frame today at least and should be happier on this ground.

Has improved at home since a good run at Plumpton latest in what was actually a fair bumper.  A strongly run race over two miles should suit but this is a serious race. However I like him enough to run him in it but would not want ground too bad.  If there are heavy places he will be a non-runner.

In good heart and a real trier. Racing off his highest mark yet. Ran very well at Newbury last time in very holding ground over 3miles.  2m6f round here should suit particularly if there is a lot of rain beforehand. The softer the better. Should go well.

Ted Spread: Very competitive and may struggle to beat Godolphin horse under these conditions.  Has run well in these qualifiers before and has the benefit of Luke Morris. In good order.

This trip might stretch him slightly and race very competitive.  Only 2lbs worse off today with Harry's claim and has to be respected still in these conditions and off this weight.

Expecting a good run here.  Hopefully the ground won't be too much worse than good-to-soft after the rain.  Ran well here over 3m 1f last time and had to race wide because the ground was so bad which was not to his advantage.  Only up 1lb and can see him getting in the frame here at least.  Meets Big Easy on better terms now.

Quite a nice horse (may not run if ground is really bad by the last) more of a chasing type but point in Ireland working out nicely.  Hopeful of a good run and could be placed. This does not look a bad bumper for Plumpton.

Jumps well at home and ran an excellent race at Cheltenham latest on unsuitable ground. Tom George's horse looks very well in here so really hopeful of a place but not impossible that there could be some improvement over fences for our horse. 

Little Boy Boru: In good heart and technically only 2lbs worse off than last time with Harry's claim. Staying on over 2m 5f in heavy ground latest and worth a go over 3miles here off a nice weight.  A couple of others are well in but has won pretty easily himself on his last two starts and 8/1 looks a good each way price.

Probably better left handed and has been given a high enough hurdle mark as a starting point.  Does have ability though running a good race under a penalty last time.  Unlikely to run a bad race.

Ground softer than ideal but jumps well and the track will suit.  Really just want to get him started over fences and he will be seen to better effect on a sounder surface.

Untried on ground this soft but has a nice weight and likes the track.  Will stay 3 miles and has place claims.

Little Boy Boru - Ran very well last time at Sandown and will handle the ground here today.  Has good amateur on board - would rather he had a bit less weight as he is a small horse but he is pretty tough. Has a good chance hard to know how good the Greatrex horse is.

Beau Lake - Loves testing conditions.  Did not have a hard race in the flat jockeys' only race on Tuesday.  Can go well here off a light weight...should see out the extra couple of furlongs ok.  Please note Micheal Nolan now rides and although he can do 10st he will not be able to do light enough to claim the 3lb.  This race does not look strong for the grade.

This looks a bit tougher than his last race but still hopeful of making the frame.  Luke Morris gets on with him well although possibly better right handed.

In great form and hoping for a good run.  Won well over this trip and think Cheltenham will suit him.  Small each way chance and has a nice weight.  Would prefer better ground than this though which is a concern.  Good to soft would be ideal.

In great form and think he could go well here.  Would prefer less testing conditions however but has an each way chance.  Needs good to soft ground.

Loves the mud and although he has been off longer than the rest of these would give him a serious chance.  Lucy Wadham's looks the main danger.  Providing Fergus gets on with him expect him to go close here.

Little Boy Boru: Ran well last time at Fontwell.  Holds place claims here particularly if the ground becomes heavy.

This horse is working ok. Has had a wind op - believe it to have been successful.  Would act on soft but maybe not heavy so if ground is desperate before the last she may not run.  She stays but has no turn of foot so the extended trip here should suit.

Working well at home.  Impossible to know what we are up against here with all the runners having reasonable enough pedigrees.  Would not be worried about her getting up the hill at Towcester and like her enough that it wouldn't be a shock to see her in the frame.

Ultimately a chaser but should be more at home in handicaps now.  Wouldn't say he is massively well in here but this stiffer track should suit and hopeful of a place at least.  Needs the rain to come...the ground was too quick for him on his last run and unless there is enough cut in it he will not run. Good to soft ideal.

Ran a good race at Plumpton to win last season.  Can put a line through her last run as ground was too fast for her.  Expecting a good run and shouldn't mind the soft ground so long as it doesn't go heavy.

Did not see out the trip last time at Newmarket.  He is in great form and ground should be ideal today.  Obviously a very warm race but does have an each way squeak.  Feel he is better on a flat track though (slight concern about staying up the hill) and he will go chasing after this.

Would expect him to go close here back over 1m2f.  Got hampered last time so can discount last run.

Going well at home.  Will probably be at his best on very soft ground but providing there is enough cut today should go well and have place claims.  Might be a bit keen on this first run.

Azabitmour - Expect him to go well but this looks tougher under a penalty.  Should be fine with extra 2 and a half furlongs.  It was very soft when he ran at Ffos Las and should appreciate a return to a better surface.

Mariet - Would be hopeful of a place at least...5lb rise after last run not ideal as she is very small but she is a trier.  Feel this is probably the best we have had her and this doesn't look a great race.  Jack Sherwood gets on with her well.

Invicta Lake - Very genuine and sure to run his race.  Ground is in his favour and he likes Plumpton so expecting a good run. Probably his last run over hurdles before going chasing.

Very pleased with this horse at home and does have ability however likely to find a few too good here and just hopeful of a good showing. Ultimately should make up into a nice chaser in time. 

I like this horse...however is really a chasing type.  Much happier with him after his holiday and it is quite possible he could sneak into a minor place here.  Ground should be fine if we get the rain (needs genuine good ground or on the easy side) but will be seen to better effect on a stiffer track.

I am expecting this horse to run a big race here.  He has improved for his break...is completely genuine the fact he was second 4 times last year was just unlucky.  The race is competitive but I would think he has got to have a good a chance as any.  Has been tricky in a finish tending to hang right in the closing stages but not doing that at all at home this term.

In good order at home. It was the plan to give him a break after his win at Goodwood and aim for this. Happy with his mark and the draw. It is a plus to have Luke Morris riding. There is a question over the 2m2f as he often looks like 2m is his absolute maximum. However, never has him better, but some rain would help now. If he stays would have to go close.

Was too free last time early at Goodwood after a break and should strip fitter this time.  Probably a better horse on the AW.  Does not look a strong race and would hope he is in the three.  Still a slight doubt over 1m3f, should get it if he settles and he stays on over 1m2f. Expecting a good run.

Brave Decision was in good order on the all weather and is capable of winning off this mark. However we have yet to try him on turf and he is returning from a fair break. The extra furlong should be no problem. Be suprised if he doesn't run well but this is different from the all weather. Drying ground would be a plus.

Ran well in a decent race at Kempton on her first try over fences after a year off.  Should improve for that run and hopeful she can be in the four.  Ground drying a plus.

Becoming a bit frustrating. Would hope she makes the frame today but not one to rely on.  The 7lb claim should help.

Enjoys good to soft ground and is pretty consistent.  Each way claims and could win it but handicapper not helping him much.

Ran well at Plumpton on his first start on good to soft.  This race does not look strong and does have a serious chance on paper even with the penalty.  May handle the ground better than some.

Ted Spread - Has been running well of late.  Off a nice mark and could go close.  Luke Morris now rides who has ridden him before which is a plus.  Ground should be ok over this trip.

Ran well here last time and usually very consistent.  Not easy for him to win off this mark though and this is a better race but not without a chance.  Would ideally need further.

Much more of a chasing type and will do better after a summer out.  Certainly cant see us getting past the favourite but would expect him to run respectably.

A nice mare but this looks a hot contest and coming back from a year off so just hoping for a good round of jumping on this first run over fences.

Is really three pounds better off today than last time with Trevor Whelan's claim. (Michael Nolan had a fall yesterday and unable to ride).  Gets away without a penalty today and with today's trip due to suit has a serious chance if repeating her last performance.  Seems to have come out of her race well.  Would not want ground quicker than good.

Not a bad sort of horse but remains vulnerable in novice hurdles.  Will be seen to better effect in handicaps.  Has minor place claims.

Have left the cheekpieces off as has been too keen on his last two starts.  Probably been lit up by the jumpers bumpers.  He is on a stiff mark but with a 7lb claimer on today it will help and has place claims.

Think this step up in trip will suit.  Any ease in the ground will help.  Hopeful she will be in the three today.

Should be much better off in a handicap today and hoping for a better performance.  Wasn't going badly when she fell at Fontwell but it knocked her confidence at Wincanton.

Azabitmour - Bit moody but not without some ability.  Will probably appreciate further in time.  It is possible that if on a going day could sneak into a minor place.  Any ease in the ground will help.

Expecting a good run today and worth an each way.  Race competitive but has been running well this season.  Hoping to go close.

Been off for a year and handicapper not dropped her much.  Gavin's 3lbs will help.  Ran well last time in a Listed event giving Polly Peachum a fair amount of weight.  Much better off today. If ground is too firm will come out due to coming back from an injury but does need good ground to be at her best.

He will be fine once handicapped and although I expect him to run a nice race it is hard to see him troubling the principals in this one.

A nice horse who still has a lot of filling out to do.  Not slow but will be a staying chaser.  Has a nice cruising gear but would be vulnerable to speedier types.  Hard to know how good several of the unraced horses are but worth a small ew if a good price.

In good heart and hoping for a good run, can be tricky on the run in but ew way claims again.

Has got desperate flat form.  However he is working well at home and is schooling ok.  This is a warm enough novice and ideally would want quicker ground and it is more of a look and see what we have got.  He appears to have enough ability at home its whether he shows it on the track.

 Was very keen last time and should settle better over this shorter trip.  I would expect him to run a solid race and hoping to be in the four. Handicapper giving him no room for error.

Looks up against it here.  Will be seen to better effect in handicaps and over fences.  Had a nasty fall last time, just buckled on landing - didn't actually jump it badly and looking for a respectable effort.

Ran well in jumpers bumper last time.  Will probably appreciate the extra two furlongs here today and better ground will help.  Not the most straightforward but hoping she makes the frame today.

Laughton Park - Pleased with his first run this season at Huntingdon.  On paper looks to have a great chance but would prefer good to soft ground.  If the ground is too fast he will not run.

Schooling well at home.  Has been steadily improving physically.  He is more of a chasing type but there is a small chance he could sneak into a minor place. Really just hoping for a nice introduction first time over hurdles.

In good order and expected to go well. The better the ground is the stronger chance he has. Hoping they have not had too much overnight rain.

Would take this on her old form but is eleven now and not quite the force of old.   Good ground will be in her favour.  Place claims - this is easier than her last race.

Has put up three pleasing efforts in jumpers bumpers and if translating that form back over hurdles has a solid chance of being in the three.  Good to soft is ideal but gluey ground may be against him.

Hoping the ground isn't too holding.  Good to soft should be more up her street.  However will probably need to be in handicaps and over fences before seen to best effect.  Just hoping for a good run.

Working well at home.  Huntingdon may be on the sharp side for him though ground will suit.  Others look well handicapped - probably needs to drop a few pounds.  Minor chance of a place.

Going well at home and should appreciate some better ground.  May need to be dropped a few pounds before his next win but not without an each way squeak.

In good order at home and only just got touched off in one of these last time.  Entitled to go close again.

On his last to efforts in jumpers bumpers he has got every chance on form.  Kempton would suit him better - prefers going right handed...nevertheless big run expected.

Staying on several times over 1m4f.  Can put a line through her last run. Is working well at home but there look a few too strong for her here.  Hopeful of a better performance.

Left too much to do last time otherwise would have probably been in the four.  This looks hotter but the extra two furlongs should help. 

Ran very well in one of these last time and will be surprised if he is not there at the business end.  There are some useful types but at least he has form round here on the surface.  Looks a reasonable ew price.

This horse has a good cruising speed and ideally wants a bit further. We shall be trying to ensure a sound gallop.  Could be vulnerable to some of the newcomers but expecting a decent effort.

Always staying on over 1m4f.  When we have tried her over further in the past she was always too free early....seems to settle more with the hood and hopeful she will see it out today.

Her form figures are fairly uninspiring but she should be able to be competitive off this weight.  Left with too much to do on both her starts at Brighton last year, running on strongly at the finish.  Not one for maximum faith but could go well at a big price today.

At his best over 2m 5f or above.  In good order but would need a strongly run race to squeak into the frame.  Others appear to have more speed.

He is very well at home and is simply running in this due to ground conditions being unsuitable elsewhere.  Not without minor place claims if running up to his best.

This is ulta competitive and obviously he hasn't run on the flat for 2 and a half years.  Ted Spread is untried on the flat over this trip and on this surface so there are a few questions marks.  However he was smart back then and he is in very good order at home. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him go well if he handles the track.

Showed much improved form on his last two starts and should go close if repeating his latest effort.  However this is more competitive and a couple are potentially well handicapped.  Place claims.

Drying conditions will help Tapley who acts around the track and has the pace to hold his own in the likely strong-run race. Good ground is needed to see him at his best and good is likely to be sneaking in the going description come race time. He has a nice light weight but is up 5lb for his last win and there's no doubt this is the strongest race he's contested.
