Monkey Miss has run reasonably well from poor draws on her two starts this year. She has enough ability to win a race of this nature if things fall right.

The ground will make this 7f at Salisbury a test for Questionable. We're not sure how she'll cope with it.

Salamanca Lad's best form for previous connections was on soft turf so it will be interesting to see what he can do back on grass. He would need improvement to be involved here but most of these are unproven on soft going.

Astro King tries a mile and a half for the first time. We're not entirely convinced he'll get the trip but there's only one way to find out. If he does he has to be a contender but we wouldn't want too much rain.

Lil Guff will want the ground to dry as much as possible. The stiff five suits her well.

We're still not quite sure we've got the trip right yet with Hilltop. The opening mark isn't overly generous, but she has stepped forward with every run.

Ciara Pearl comes here unbeaten in 2024 and also ran well on this track on debut last year. The going is an unknown for her.

Questionable is one for handicaps further down the line.

Lil Guff goes in search of black type. She has a bit to find on ratings but is gutsy and has a decent draw. The drier the ground the better for her.

Monkey Miss has been plagued by poor draws and hasn't had much luck here either. She showed last time she's up to winning in this grade if things fall right for her.

Salamance Lad made an encouraging yard debut at Southwell and the step up to ten furlongs should be a plus. The favourite looks tough to beat but if he has an off-day this looks a good opportunity for our boy to take advantage.

Percy's Lad makes his seasonal return. He'll come forward for the run which will set him up perfectly for the May meeting at Chester, a track he loves.

Astro King won the Cambridgeshire over the course and distance last autumn and proved he can be competitive in Group company over the winter. The more the ground dries the better.

Bravo Zulu is a horse we like as a team. The data we analyse from his homework suggests he has the potential to be useful. Visually he shows up well and the riders are positive about him. We were 2nd in this race a couple of years ago with Outgate who went on to win plenty of prizemoney before being sold to go to Hong Kong. Bravo Zulu is a bit less experienced than he was and this is his first run on turf. The draw is a slight negative.

Ciara Pearl won nicely over 10f at Lingfield last Monday and comes here in a similar race under a penalty. The more galloping track will suit her better than Lingfield but that's countered by the drop back to a mile.

Non-runner

Ciara Pearl is from a family that tends to improve with age and do well at four. She was learning as she raced at three last year, winning once and finishing 2nd twice. On her seasonal and handicap debut we think that while she will enjoy racing over the extra couple of furlongs, she has a terrible draw out in the car park and at Lingfield that can be hard to overcome.

Monkey Miss has strengthened up over the winter. She is likely to improve for the run but is capable of picking up something similar at some point this summer.

Questionable makes her debut. She is probably one for further down the line.

Lil Guff is a really likeable mare who has won two races each year as a 2,3 and 4yo. She normally needs her first run of the season and probably prefers a stiffer 5f than this. That said, she has been showing good pace at home over the past couple of weeks. This makes a nice starting point to build with.

This is a first start with us for Salamanca Lad. We think there could be more to come from him over this longer trip. He does, however, seem to lack focus so hopefully, the cheek-pieces will keep his head in the game.

Deceiver is a horse we really like. A big, imposing type, he will progress as a four-year-old this season and is just ready to start out.

We run two in this wide-open handicap. Al Rufaa proved he gets today's trip when 2nd last time. He should settle better if the predicted strong pace materialises.

Our other runner Andaleep can never be written off. He stays further than today's trip and will be running on in the straight.

Siempre Arturo has made a good start to his career, winning two of four. He needs to find more here as he moves up in grade but he should remain competitive.

Hilltop was a bit free last time so hoping she settles better today. She will probably just fall short in novice company but should win races in time'

Andaleep is two for two at the track. He only just held on here last time and this is a similar race, but if things pan out he should be there at the business end.

Bravo Zulu won his maiden well at Kempton and this is a decent prize for a novice. Whilst he'll come on for the run, hopefully, he can take another step forward.

Arctic Dawn fluffed the start last time, then made up a huge amount of ground late on and was only just denied. He should know more this time and can go close.

Elterwater is frustrating as she should have won a race by now. She has the ability if things fall right. Dropping back in trip might help.

Siempre Arturo enters handicap company having won a maiden and then just getting touched off under a penalty. He probably has the ability to be effective off this mark but lacks race craft up against some more battle-hardened types.

We're getting to know  Hersilia. She has shown only a limited level of ability but is in at the right level.

Hilltop should improve for her promising debut, but this looks a hot enough contest.

Andaleep won well over 11 furlongs at the track a couple of starts back. The 12 furlongs probably out-stretches him, but it's a good prize for the grade so well worth a crack.

There's a massive prize on offer for Astro King who showed what he is capable of when running well in Bahrain in November. The ground is really quick which will suit him and the 10.5f trip is ideal. Obviously, it's very competitive behind favourite Luxembourg, and hard to know exactly how the international form lines will tie in.

Rothay Park ran a good race to be third first time in a handicap over the seven furlongs at Lingfield. He drops back to six here but should be fine with that although the draw isn't great.

Elterwater ran a nice enough race on her return to action. If she takes the expected step forward for that run she can be competitive here.

Arctic Dawn is a colt we like. A big raw type, he has developed well over the winter and should do well this year. He's just ready to start out again, and it's a bit frustrating to be drawn widest of all.

Al Rufaa steps up in distance, something we've been itching to do as there's every suggestion it could be a positive. The risk is that he can be free-going in his races.

Wild Saffron should be fine dropping back to six furlongs in what looks an open race. She qualifies for the GBB bonus worth £20k if she wins so it's well worth a crack.

Hilltop is a home-bred filly by New Bay. She will learn from her debut. The sharp track should suit her.

Rothay Park goes up in trip today having been given a more realistic mark by the handicapper. He ran his best race to date at this track.

Andaleep bids to follow up his win last week under a penalty He's done well backing up quickly in the past so fingers crossed he puts up another good run.

Elterwater has been one we were looking forward to improving at three as she's a big, scopey mare who should improve with a trip. Unfortunately, an injury kept her out of action and she returns after a lengthy absence.  She'll come forward for this run but hopefully, has done enough work to be involved.

Andaleep was a touch disappointing last time out for no obvious reason. He has trained nicely since so perhaps it was just an off day. We are hopeful of a better effort in this competitive amateurs' race and in Simon Walker, he will have every assistance in the saddle.

Al Rufaa needs a good pace to aim at and hopefully, he gets it here. Otherwise, the wide draw makes it tough.

Poppaea is a 4yo filly making her first start for the yard and we are still getting to know her. We've put a tongue-tie on her today. She looked inconsistent for her previous trainer, but a repeat of her best run when 3rd at Lingfield in June would give her a chance here.

Siempre Arturo won nicely on only his second career start. He looks to have one to beat in this small field. Hopeful.

Wild Saffron missed the break badly on debut so didn't gain much from that start, but did better after getting away on terms last time. She was much more involved in the finish in 3rd then and should take another step mentally here.

La Verite has a harsh opening mark on what she has achieved in her three runs. She will need to improve for the extra couple of furlongs.

Rothay Park got caught right on the line last time, although he did have the run of things. This looks a wide open little race and a repeat of the last run ought to have him thereabouts.

Lookslikewemadeit was disappointing last time after an encouraging first run for the yard. She had a snotty nose for a few days post-race so hopefully, that explains things. She can take a step forward here.

Andaleep ran an absolute cracker in the middle-distance series final to be second two starts back. A repeat of that run ought to be good enough to go close here. He didn't stay two miles in the interim.

Helm Rock ran a solid race last time at Chelmsford when things didn't quite fall right and he should find this track more to his liking. albeit in a competitive race. He put up a very good performance over course and distance in the summer and a repeat would see him in the mix.

Wild Saffron completely messed up the start on debut so probably didn't learn a great deal. Hopefully, she gets things right today and gets a bit more experience as she's shown ability at home and should be winning races once she gets the hang of things.

Fiscal Policy missed a date at the sales and is in the right grade to win if things fall right from a wide draw. He has won at the track over 5f and elsewhere over six and probably stays seven. This is his first run back after a little refresh.

Helm Rock put together a great record on the all-weather this year. We're keen to aim him at the AW finals so this is the first step towards qualification. He's had a short break since Champions Day.

La Verite has shown a bit of ability on both her starts and the experience gives her a chance in a field packed with debutants. Her chance will depend on how good they are, of course, so we're very much in the dark as to what to expect!

Siempre Arturo is a work in progress. A big, galloping sort, he made his debut wearing a hood which we feel is no longer needed. He should take a step forward here.

Rothay Park is a work in progress. He was green on debut and then ran a bit free and enthusiastic next time. He doesn't have the best draw here.

Al Rufaa had the perfect set-up to win well last week at Wolverhampton on just his second start for the yard. This looks a stronger affair but a repeat of that performance should see him go close again.

Andaleep takes a step up in trip tonight. It's an experiment really, but if he does well he will qualify for the final of this series which is worth a huge amount.

Bravo Zulu really pleased us with his debut at Wolverhampton and should step forward as he showed a lot of greenness that day but powered home late. This is a decent prize and we've waited a while for it.

We're still learning about Al Rufaa. He strikes us as a horse who could stay a bit further but does need to settle. He settled well enough over seven furlongs last time at Kempton, so that with all the bends an extended mile at Wolverhampton should be fine.

La Verite ran a nice race on debut. She was tapped for toe when the race quickened up and should have learnt a bit.

Astro King has been a real star since joining the stable and put up a massive performance to win the Cambridgeshire. This is a fiercely competitive race with a very high-class field so another career-best is certainly needed. He's trained beautifully into the race and has taken to things well in Bahrain. Full credit to the Bahrain Turf Club for their excellent facilities and many thanks for their outstanding hospitality. The ten furlongs on fast ground looks ideal.

Lookslikewemadeit should appreciate the extra couple of furlongs on her handicap debut and this looks a realistic level for her.  We've not had her long but she's improving all the time and if not today, she should be winning at some point over the winter.

Andaleep takes a shot at this valuable final. He ran a good race from too far back last time in his qualifier and a better run through should see him able to pick up a piece of the pot.

Silver Leaf won well on debut. This is quite a lot tougher but she should improve for that first experience.

Al Rufaa makes his debut for the yard. A horse that had shown a lot of ability in the past, it would be fair to say he lost his way to an extent. We have been learning about him at home and will find out more from giving him a run.

Rothay Park will have learnt from his debut and should take a step forward today.

Percy's Lad missed out on an ideal race at Chester a fortnight ago. He seems well suited to racing around bends and this is a decent prize for a Friday night at Wolverhampton. He's run several big races this season and won plenty of prize money but it would be nice to get a win on the board for the year!

La Verite makes her debut this evening. She will likely improve for the experience.

Deceiver made a pleasing return after an absence but would have preferred to be running at Southwell as that track would suit better than this rearranged fixture at Wolverhampton. The draw isn't helpful either.

Fiscal Policy has won three and gone very close a few other times in his 14 career starts. He has been a bit slowly away in blinkers, so the switch back to cheek-pieces should be a plus. He ran well on his first go at seven furlongs last time when getting too far back.

Siempre Arturo has done some nice bits of work at home but is likely to benefit more than most from his first day at the races. His half-sister Glam Puss was a novice winner for us.

Looklikewemadeit hasn't been with us long and qualifies for a mark after this run. We are still learning about her.

Helm Rock has had a superb season, winning two big prizes. He's in great form and deserves a crack at a big handicap like this. He struggles a bit on heavy ground at this sort of level but soft would be fine.

Monkey Miss has been surprisingly green so far and shows far more pace at home than she has on the track. Hopefully, all-weather proves more suitable. Cheek-pieces on to focus her.

Southwold has plenty of ability but is the sort of horse that things need to fall right for. He's another heading for the sales next week and he should give his new connections plenty of action.

Ciara Pearl looks to have a bit of a future and will probably stay further. She won last time and picked up a  filly's Great British Bonus. The reason we're sticking to novice company rather than taking advantage of her handicap mark is to try to add a second £10k bonus. She just got away with it last time over the sharp mile at Lingfield and the test on this stiffer track should suit her better.

Forest Demon's run last time was too bad to be true. He has trained fine since and hopefully, it was just a one-off. He heads to the sales next week so we would love him to sign off with a win as Evening Story did at Kempton last night.

Evening Story ran a solid race stepped up in trip last time. She goes up another furlong which should be fine for her as she finished well. It wasn't the difference between winning the race and 5th but she was slightly disadvantaged by ending up quite far back early on that day. It's her last run before she goes to the sales and she'll give her new owners plenty of fun, or even make a nice broodmare as she has a good pedigree.

Solar Portrait is well drawn and has made a bit of progress with each start. Another step forward should see him bang there this evening.

Moondial has been really consistent all year, never finishing out of the placings and her turf form in particular is solid. Her best performances have been at seven furlongs though, so this step up to the mile is a risk. Given that unexpectedly at this time of year we've got the quick ground she needs, we had to give it a go.

Lowick travelled really well over a mile and a quarter last time out on the all-weather but found little towards the finish. Hopefully, this drop back to a mile will help her.

Evening Story had been really consistent until turning in an absolute shocker last time out. There was no obvious reason for that. We're keen to try ten furlongs before she heads to the sale.

Ciara Pearl was very green on debut but showed plenty of promise to be second as she got the hang of things. She should take a step forward here.

We are delighted to get Deceiver back. on track. He's a lovely horse who showed real promise in the spring when winning over course and distance. He came back from his next run and spiked a massive temperature and took a while to get over it. We've built him up quietly and he's just ready to start back.

Rothay Parks shows ability at home and seems to understand the job. That said, most of ours learn plenty from their first run.

Arctic Dawn is a talented colt but is very raw still and he is all about next year. We are looking forward to seeing his first day at school and expect plenty of improvement.

Aira Force has been somewhat enigmatic this season, but last time finally took a step forward with the help of first-time cheekpieces. The way she ran suggested this drop to five furlongs should be ideal.

Southwold didn't really get the run of the race last time. Hopefully, things fall better here.

Helm Rock comes here seeking a hat-trick. He's hit a very rich vein of form and comes here having landed two big prizes. Those were both on all-weather but he has won plenty on the turf including on softish ground. This probably requires another career best.

Astro King looks to have several things in his favour here, a good draw and decent ground. He has trained beautifully for this on the back of a good win at the Ebor meeting. A strong pace will suit, so now all we need is a bit of luck in this hugely competitive race.

Fiscal Policy has won three times and has barely been out of the frame since going handicapping. He steps up to seven furlongs for the first time and has hinted that he might be suited by the extra furlong, even though he has managed a win over five.

Andaleep makes a rare AW appearance tonight. He's never won on it but has run on the surface only once since joining us. While he may be a turf specialist there's no obvious reason for that to be the case. This race qualifies him for a valuable final so we'll learn more.

Lowick got a bit stuck in the heavy ground last time and should be suited on pedigree at least by the switch to all-weather. A big, raw filly, she's still developing.

Solar Portrait has progressed mentally and physically with each start. A big, burly horse, he should continue to improve and handle conditions.

Bravo Zulu goes well at home but we would expect him to learn plenty from this debut. He has a tricky draw for his first venture onto a racecourse.

Percy's Lad ran a cracker from a wide draw at Chester last time and has had a really good season, collecting a good chunk of prize money. That said, it would be great to get a win on the board for the year.

Don't Tell Claire ran a rare bad race at Ascot last time, things not really panning out to suit. She seems in good shape at home and gets on very well with Jack Mitchell who is back on board as we switch back to cheek-pieces.

Forest Demon has been progressing quietly this summer and got a deserved win at Newmarket two runs back. The tongue-tie came off last time in the stalls so we can put a line through that. This looks a competitive race but he should have his chance.

Monkey Miss wasn't drawn well last time and probably ran a bit better than the bare result suggests. Once again she's had no luck and is stuck out wide here. She's still learning her job but can take another step forward today.

Bowland Park has been a bit disappointing for a while. He has shown that the ability is still there at home and occasionally on the track after his belated return. Hopefully, the cheek-pieces will spark a revival.

Silver Leaf has taken some time to come to hand. She has done some nice work at home but will likely come on a good deal for the experience.

Lil Guff has won six and went mighty close to a valuable prize last time at Sandown on just a three-day turnaround from being second in one of these Racing League races.  She should be competitive again here.

Crimson Spirit has taken a nice step forward with each start and won well at Epsom last time. He moves into nursery company for the first time, but if that progression continues he should be involved despite the wide draw.

Moondial won a similar contest at Epsom last time. That performance gives us confidence she'll handle this track and it looks to be a race in which she can go close.

Mine's A Double is having his first run for the yard. This giant sprinter has had a long time off and it's very much a learning mission for us. He won over course and distance two years ago.

Don't Tell Claire won this race in 2021 and was 2nd last year. She went very close at the Royal meeting here and hasn't really had her ground since. Hopeful.

Helm Rock wasn't beaten all that far in this race last year and put up a career-best performance to win a Racing League handicap last time out  He's well drawn to challenge for this big prize.

Aira Force has a bit to prove, albeit the race didn't pan out for her on Saturday at Chelmsford. Cheek-pieces go on and it's still something of a big ask, but there's great prize money in these Racing League contests and every place counts, so we're trying to help out our team overall.

Evening Story did well to break his maiden in a novice last time. He had already been running well in handicaps and has not been harshly treated for the first success. Big each-way chances in a competitive race.

Solar Portrait progressed from his debut at Salisbury to finish in midfield in a Kempton novice last time. We would expect another step forward and hopefully, that could see him challenging for a place.

Southwold had never been out of the frame until disappointing last time when favourite at Newmarket. He likes Southwell and we're hopeful he can get back on track in this competitive handicap.

We expected a better run from Dalatara in her first handicap, but she was very disappointing. We'll be looking for more encouragement today.

She looked as though she would stay six furlongs where things happen a bit slower which should mean she can get involved in the race and learn plenty. Ultimately, though, she may prove best over five as she does show a lot of pace at home.

Aira Force needs to bounce back from a poor effort last time. There was no obvious reason so hopefully, it was just one of those things and we can put a line through it and we can crack on.

Andaleep has done nothing but improve since joining us and he will probably need another career best in a strong-looking race. In his favour, he loves Sandown.

Percy's Lad won this race under today's jockey Tom Eaves. He had a bit of a break after his trip to Galway where nothing really went right for him. He has a tricky draw to overcome.

Lowick showed more last time at Windsor when ridden more patiently. The Ffos Las track should suit her.

Helm Rock has won on all-weather before. He has had a good season without getting his head in front.

Solar Portrait was very green on debut. Hopefully, he will take a step forward here.

Forest Demon is bidding to follow up his recent win at Newmarket. William Buick gave him a cracking ride that night and is back on board in what looks an open contest. Hopeful.

Bowland Park has run reasonably well on both starts this season to be placed each time. He's won over the course and distance and also ran really well in a Class 2 handicap on Oaks day last year when 6th of 15. A repeat of either run would see him going close here.

Crimson Spirit learnt plenty from his first run and ran a nice race second time out when a close 4th at Nottingham. That form looks reasonable and he has come forward again at home. The Epsom track is challenging and he's still inexperienced but if he handles it he can be competitive in a valuable race.

Astro King went down by the narrowest of margins over course and distance in the John Smith's Cup, with just a pixel separatiing him from the winner. He's been aimed at this race ever since and hopefully he can gain the redemption he deserves.

Fiscal Policy gets no penalty for his win in an apprentices' race last week and this is the same grade of race. He is a previous course winner and as long as he has recovered from that effort and gets a bit of luck in running, he should go close.

Lil Guff ran a cracker to be 2nd in a valuable Racing League race on Thursday and makes a quick turnaround in search of more substantial prizemoney. She needs good or better ground to be seen at her best and that is an obvious caveat on such a quick return to action.

Evening Story made a pleasing return to action after a break when 3rd over seven furlongs, running a race to suggest stepping back up to a mile would be a big plus. On face value, this looks a good opening for her.

Bowland Park ran well on his first run of the season at Haydock, only going down to a well-handicapped opponent who has won again since. This is a lower grade contest so as long as the ground is not too quick he should go well.

Forest Demon has gone close a couple of times recently, while maybe he was a shade disappointing without running a bad race at Chelmsford last time. He gets a tongue-tie for the first time here.

Southwold pricked his ears when he hit the front at Sandown last time so gets switched to blinkers. He's never been out of the first three and William Buick riding him again has to be a plus as this time he will know him better.

Aira Force has been showing improvement at home recently and gets a tongue-tie for the first time today. We're hopeful she can take a step forward.

Even so, she's managed some excellent placed efforts including at Royal Ascot and deserves a win for the year. She has won on all-weather in the past, so maybe today will be the day.

Solar Portrait has a small field in which to make his racecourse debut. There look to be some good types in the race and this will be more about what he can learn as he starts his career.

Fiscal Policy is enjoying a good season and it might have been even better but for being checked in running at a crucial point last time. He has good form particularly on all-weather and although not the easiest of rides, he benefits from the most experienced rider in this small field here.

Lowick has been a bit disappointing and hasn't really built on the promise of her first run. The drop in grade should help.

Don't Tell Claire deserves some black type having put up so many good performances over the years. This does look quite tough though and in her case, any rain would not help her cause.

Andaleep has done nothing but improve since arriving with us. We thought a mark of 94 might be beyond him but he ran a belter last time out over 10f to be a narrowly-beaten 4th in a race that favoured horses racing handily. He has won over this far but we are slightly concerned that this stiff 12f may be beyond him. There's only one way to find out!

Helm Rock has not matched his early-season form on his last couple of starts, but the best win of his career was over this course and distance. Any rain this morning would be a plus for him.

Evening Story returns off a break in what looks an open maiden. She has a decent draw as she tries turf for the first time after three nice placed runs on AW last year.

Southwold probably needed his first run back after a break and it's easy to forget it was also his first run on turf. He has a solid race record with two wins and three 3rds from his five starts which he can hopefully add to today

Crimson Spirit was very green on debut, not unexpectedly, but looks to have learnt a bit from that experience and should be more professional here. The penny dropped as the race went on and he finished off quite nicely. We're hopeful of a better showing here.

Forest Demon just found an improver half a length too good for him last time when stepping up and getting cheek-pieces for the first time. A similar performance should see him go close once more.

Raimundu won her maiden in similar conditions over course and distance last time and steps into handicap company for the first time. It's a valuable prize but she is progressing nicely, so fingers crossed.

Percy's Lad put in a strong performance when beaten only 3 1/4 lengths at Royal Ascot. This is an idiosyncratic track that should suit his run style and this has been his main target this season. He has form on all sorts of ground and does stay a mile so should be fine with conditions.

Monkey Miss is a sharp filly who has pace. It's her first day at school so she will learn plenty and we're not one hundred percent sure on the ground. On the positive side, her mother handled cut so we'll learn on that front too.

This will be the final run for Closeness before she heads off to the paddocks. This looks a fair enough opening and Jack Mitchell, who rode her last time, thought she would appreciate easier going.

Fiscal Policy has been running well this season with a win and three 2nd places from only four starts. He arguably could have won any or all the races he was beaten in too, although he doesn't always help himself.

Non-runner

Presently shaped nicely on debut under Brian Hughes and he was keen to ride again.

Lil Guff seems best at 5f now and her run over 6f last time is probably best ignored. Her form over the minimum has been excellent and she's looking for win number three. Hopeful.

Andaleep put up a career-best last time out and was hit hard by the handicapper. It's great that he has improved 2st since joining the yard, but he now does need to compete at a higher level. That said, considering the money on offer, this is not as strong a contest as it could have been and given he's in great form, we're hopeful of picking up a slice of it. Probably wouldn't want it too soft though. 

Helm Rock drops back in trip and while his best form to date has been over a mile he often travels very well and the excellent prize money on offer makes this worth giving a go. The softer it becomes the more of a test it will be and the better his chances as a result.

Lowick made a promising debut but hasn't run so well since albeit that last time she travelled very well before failing to stay. She should enjoy the ground and the switch to handicap company is a plus too.

Ciara Pearl is a half-sister to Zulu Girl, who won four races from the yard. Generally, it's a family that comes into its own at four, so we have been patient with her but she's ready to start now. Ciara Pearl will come on for the race but she has ability so hopefully she can be competitive if able to overcome her inexperience.

Raimunda returns to Haydock and drops back to a mile having run similarly at both the mile and ten furlongs around here on her first two starts. The likely testing conditions are a question but she should see it out.

Don't Tell Claire was an agonising 2nd at Royal Ascot and this track should play to her strengths. Blinkers replace cheek-pieces and with regular partner Jack Mitchell unavailable, William Buick is in the saddle.

Southwold returns from a break in what looks an ordinary contest. He's working nicely at home and our main concern is the soft ground. It will also be his first run on turf.

Dalatara should appreciate the step up in trip and the drop into handicap company. She's gained experience with her novice runs and needs to translate that into results.

Crimson Spirit makes his debut and is expected to come on for the experience. He is a work in progress but should make up into a nice horse.

Forest Demon steps up in trip by a couple of furlongs this evening and gets first-time cheek-pieces. It's never ideal to try both changes simultaneously but he has looked a couple of times as though they would help him as he's pretty laid back. The extra distance should be a positive, too.

Non-runner

Astro King ran really well on his first start for us at York. He ran really well that day and we've had this race on our mind since. He was a bit disappointing at Ascot but has trained well since and the only concern is that there may be too much rain.

Andaleep was a star for us last season and hasn't done much wrong this year either in competitive races, running consistently. He can win at this level but would need everything to fall right. Hoping that not too much rain arrives before his race.

Closeness made an encouraging start to life at Sarsen Farm but seemed to lose interest after a couple of runs. She's had a little break and was covered too in an attempt to eke out a little improvement required for a win.

State Of Harmony will learn from this first racecourse experience. She only came into training as a three-year-old.

Fiscal Policy is up in grade but has been in good form since being gelded with a win and two seconds. A CD winner, he does have a tricky draw to overcome.

Lil Guff just found herself off her feet over the quicker five furlongs at Haydock last time out having won over stiffer five furlongs on her two previous starts. The step up to six should be no issue as she has won over the distance four times. Epsom is idiosyncratic but she's won at Goodwood so should handle it.

Non-runner

Unfortunately for Dalatara last time, the jockey's stirrup leather snapped so it was a wasted effort all around. She should get a mark after this run and will be more competitive in handicaps.

Moondial won an apprentice contest under today's rider last time and won over this course and distance as a 2yo. She meets several old foes who have been closely matched in past meetings, Can be close again.

Helm Rock has been very consistent this year, running good races in defeat the last couple of times. He was the victim of a poor draw at Sandown so that run can be upgraded. He has to give a lot of weight to some progressive 3yos but they need to prove they can compete at this level.

Bowland Park makes a belated seasonal return. He's a course and distance winner at this sort of level and took on some tough assignments last year. He should appreciate this easier competition.

Lil Guff comes looking for a hat-trick after 5f wins at Bath and Sandown. It's a slightly tougher race but she's in good form.

Lowick blew the bend last time at Kemoton having made a pleasing start to life at Goodwood. Hopefully, that was a one-off and she can step forward here.

Aira Force made a nice start to her season in a much stronger grade of race. That should have knocked the rusty edges off and she can go well here.

Forest Demon has managed to have an excuse on each of his three starts to date this season. Hopefully, he gets a cleaner run of things today as based on his homework he remains well-handicapped.

Andaleep hasn't run very often at a mile-and-a-half but has won over the distance. He is a previous course winner and should run another solid race.

Whilst Percy's Lad does get a mile, the suspicion is that this strongly-run seven will suit him better over the straight course than the Royal Hunt Cup in which he blazed the trail for a long way last year. He has always been a very strong traveller so the drop back should be okay. He's become a little more tractable this season and hasn't always needed to make the running.

This has been the plan for Astro King ever since we bought him. He ran a lovely race on his first start for us and you need loads of luck in these big handicaps, but he's got the class to go well. He has been 2nd and 4th in the last two runnings of the Hunt Cup. From the limited evidence you can draw from races here his stalls position looks fine, so fingers crossed.

Don't Tell Claire has been a real fun filly that has given us lots of great days out and has won five races. This is maybe a tough ask, especially from the draw, but she was beaten only 4.5 lengths in this race last year when she got very little luck in running.

Moondial has been consistent this season and this looks a nice opportunity, with the caveat that these hands and heels races are for very inexperienced jockeys. Alex Jary is one of the most experienced riders in the field.

Helm Rock ran a blinder over this CD a couple of weeks ago in a similar race. He has a very wide stall to contend with and to date we've avoided ground this quick as we've never been overly confident he will be at his best on it. Options for him are limited though and he's in such good form that having a crack at this good prize is surely worthwhile.

Lil Guff bids to follow up on her win from last Friday. The stiff five furlongs should suit her and although she finished 3rd behind What's In The Bag, who was 2nd at Windsor on her penultimate start, she didn't enjoy much luck that day and beat the winner of that race last time.

Forest Demon ran better than the bare form in a better race at Wolverhampton last time. He deserves to get his season back as he hasn't had much luck so far. At home he looks a step above this grade.

Dalatara is a sweet filly who will progress with racing and will stay further in due course.

Lowick made a pleasing start first time and wasn't given a hard time when she tired. She should continue to develop although Frankie rides the favourite and it's doubtful he's riding maidens just to keep fit!

Aira Force did well in nurseries last autumn and she steps up in grade for her first run of the year. She's done plenty of work in recent weeks and we feel she has really developed over the winter. This Sunday Series race offers decent prize money for the level and hopefully, she can pick up some of it.

Lil Guff needs to show she handles this very quick ground in what looks a very tight contest despite the tiny field.

Fiscal Policy scored what looked an improbable victory over five furlongs last time and should be suited by the return to six. He switches back to turf and we've no reason that should be a disadvantage. He has hung left quite often in his races which isn't ideal going this way round here!

Andaleep made a good seasonal reappearance when third in a big field at Newbury. This is quite a quick turnaround but he has generally done well when backing up quickly. He has won twice at Windsor and likes quicker ground so we are ticking a few boxes in a tight-looking race.

Percy's Lad ran a great race over course and distance from a horrible draw at the May Festival here. As the track record holder and well-drawn, he looks the one to beat.

Lowick makes her debut and will learn plenty. She's quite a big filly and we are slightly concerned about the track but there's decent prize money on offer for a maiden, even for a minor place. It's worth a shot but more in hope than expectation!

Dalatara is a filly with a nice pedigree. She has progressed with her homework but looks the type to improve for a race or two!

Helm Rock ran a solid race at a similar level last time. The ground would be as fast as he wants it but they always produce a high-quality surface at Sandown and he's run well there a couple of times. The champion jockey aboard will do no harm to his chances in an open-looking race.

Raimunda made an encouraging debut over a mile around here when it looked as though a step up would see her to better effect. There are some well-bred newcomers in opposition.

Moondial has been really consistent. She's game, tries hard and will keep them honest. She could be vulnerable to improving horses.

Forest Demon got stuck in the mud at Windsor first time out this season, a run that should probably be ignored. This looks an open race with some lightly-raced types tackling handicaps for the first time.

City Cyclone has run well to be third in two maidens this spring. We're not entirely sure about the step up in trip in what looks a contest where several might be suited by the extra distance.

Lil Guff drops back to five furlongs after getting stuck in heavy ground here last month. She's only raced over the minimum once when far from disgraced at Royal Ascot last year and a good run today would open up more options for her.

Presently starts out in a bumper, a bit of an experiment for us really as she's a flat-bred filly who has shown ability at home. Being a good size and four years old we thought we would try this route first with her. She could make a nice hurdler for someone in time.

Andaleep was a real star last summer, winning five times. He's enjoyed a well-earned break over the winter and is ready to start back again now we have some quicker ground. Really good prizemoney here has resulted in a very competitive race. It will probably require a career-best to win it, which is a big ask on your first run of the season.

Astro King, who has some high-class back form,  makes his debut for us having been gelded over the winter. If he could recapture that, he should be able to get involved in what looks a typically competitive race at this meeting.

Non-runner

Don't Tell Claire has a good record at Ascot and while she doesn't enjoy soft ground, as she's got older she has become more versatile and ran 2nd here last year on good to soft. She ran promisingly 1st time back in a Listed race at Kempton, but this is her level and we're hoping she can run a big race.

Ellerwater should improve this season as she's a very big filly and she'll enjoy racing over middle distances. This looks quite a competitive race for the grade. We've gone back to the hood to ensure she settles nicely on her reappearance.

Percy's Lad broke the track record over this course and distance last summer and this race has been a long-term target. He has form on all ground so that shouldn't be an issue but stall 13 could well be.

Fiscal Policy missed a golden chance for a win last week, pulling a long way clear before wandering around and getting caught late on. He drops back a furlong here which he should be okay with as he travelled very well over six. He will also strip fitter for the effort.

Fiscal Policy has been gelded and given a break since his last run in November. He's definitely still ahead of his mark, as a course and distance win here was followed by a couple of lesser efforts when he hung away his chances. He is only just ready, fitness-wise, and will improve for this run. We're relying on talent to get him through.

Helm Roick takes a drop in class after getting found out a bit in the Lincoln. That run under his belt should stand him in good stead in a race where a very unexposed favourite takes on a field of evenly-matched seasoned handicappers. Will Carver takes the ride and is a solid rider who landed us a good prize in an apprentices' race at Sandown last season.

Moondial is a consistent filly and she ran a solid race to be third on her seasonal reappearance. She's well drawn and should be in the mix again, if slightly vulnerable to an improver.

City Cyclone just got tapped for toe at Lingfield on his seasonal reappearance in a similar contest. This more galloping track should suit and there doesn't look much between these.

Deceiver was impressive winning his novice on his seasonal reappearance. The step up to a mile is a plus as he tackles stronger opposition on his handicap debut. He's a big frame of a horse and very much a work in progress and we're excited to see how he goes.

Raimunda makes her debut in a race that features some well-bred fillies with expensive price tags. She's done some nice work at home but we would expect her to improve for this experience.

City Cyclone improved with each run at two. He's a big gelding who should improve as a three-year-old. The extra couple of furlongs ought to be a plus.

Moondial won over course and distance last season on her penultimate start under Richard. She isn't the biggest but tries hard. She should run her race but will be vulnerable to horses that have improved over the winter.

Forest Demon ran well on his handicap debut last year and this is his first run since. There are quite a few unexposed runners in the field so always slightly guessing but he is improving. He should be okay on the ground.

Lil Guff ran well on her seasonal reappearance and will come on for that run. She should be fine on the ground - she handles most but arguably is best with ease in the going.

Don't Tell Claire is hunting for a bit of black type. We'll be delighted with a place in what looks a strong race.

Lil Guff gave everyone a lot of fun as a 3yo winning twice to add to her two wins at 2 when she also ran at some of the bigger meetings. That all caught up with her towards the end of the season but now she's had a lovely break and has returned in good form. She's done enough work to be ready to run but we'd expect improvement for the race.. 

Helm Rock matured a lot mentally last season and the results followed, as he won three times. He faces stiffer competiton than he has encountered before but conditions will suit as he relishes the mud. You need a bit of luck in these races but he's beaten some of the more fancied runners in the past, so while everything needs to align, it's great to be having a go. He's done plenty of work and should be fit enough to do himself justice.

Deceiver is just about ready to start his season having been gelded over the winter. He has plenty of potential and should run a nice race and build on it going forward.

Closeness has regressed slightly after a promising start for the yard. We drop back a furlong as she has just been tying up late on and we think this is worth an attempt.

Southwold won a similar contest over course and distance last time and is reopposed by 2nd, 3rd and 6th from that race. They look the biggest dangers again tonight. He still showed some signs of inexperience that day, so if continuing his improvement he can go close again today.

Closeness didn't run quite to the same level as she did on her first two starts for us. There were no real excuses for Chelmsford so here we go again! She has a race of this nature in her and is well drawn in relation to her main rivals. Fingers crossed she puts in a decent effort and thus can go close.

Southwell is offering good prizemoney for the grade of race and that should be applauded. Far more lightly-raced than his rivals, Southwold has made a bright start to his career with a win on debut followed by a 3rd under a penalty. He is still learning his trade, wouldn't be as battle-hardened as his opponents and is very much a work in progress. In time he should be competitive in better-class races.

Closeness was beaten a nose last time in a similar contest and a repeat of that run will see her going very close once again. She's well drawn in this big field and Kieran Shoemark rides again.

Closeness ran a nice race on her debut for the yard to finish 3rd. That came after more than a year off so she is entitled to come forward for that run.

Glam Puss has made a bright start to her career, 2nd on debut and following up with a win over a mile next time. She's going up another furlong and a half but she hit the line well last time. She does give a lot of weight to unexposed 3yo's between the wfa scale and the penalty for her novice win.

Closeness has her first start for us. She showed minor promise for previous connections but subsequently lost her way. She's had a long break so will come forward from this run. She is not well drawn. That said, if she translates what she she shows at home she is up to winning at this sort of level in due course.

Evening Story has improved for each start and will enjoy the extra furlong. She should be competitive off her mark, but is not well drawn.

Our secind runner here, Southwold, won nicely on debut and should have more to come as he showed signs of inexperience that day.

We run two in this Restricted novice stakes. Glam Puss looked raw when second on debut and should improve for the extra furlong.

Seneca Chief has a bit to prove at present particularly at the start and we're not convinced he really gets six furlongs. It's an easy six here though and he is well drawn.

Abbey Heights won a similar race over course and distance last time and is still improving. This is perhaps a slightly deeper contest than that but he should still be competitive.

Evening Story took a step forward on her second start and should be suited by the more galloping test at Kempton. She will get further in time and another step forward here would make her competitive, judged on what the others have shown to date although most are open to improvement too.

Last time it looked as though the extra distance would be a plus for L'Enclume. This might be a touch of an easier assignment too.

Abbey Heights is a horse we've always thought a bit of and he made a decent return to action last time, making a bold bid from a wide draw. Fitness just caught him out late on.

Don't Tell Rosi is a nice filly just ready to get some experience and her future is all about next season. Anything she does tonight is a bonus.

Seneca Chief missed the kick last time when finishing third over course and distance. If he can break better he should be competitive at this level.

Fiscal Policy won a couple of runs ago at Kempton. We are trying cheek-pieces for the first time after a subsequent disappointment, but he has a tricky draw in ten to cope with in this apprentices' handicap.

L'Enclume unfortunately hasn't quite gone on as we had hoped from her novice win in January. She has trained nicely after a little freshen up and I'm hopeful she will stay the extra distance tonight. If she does, she could easily outrun her odds.

Don't Tell Claire won nicely at Newmarket last time. We're having a shot to try to earn some valuable black type tonight and it will take a career-best effort for her to win. We would be delighted of course if she managed to be placed.

Southwold, a home-bred colt by Gleneagles, has taken a while to come to himself but goes nicely enough at home. He should be competitive in a weak-looking race on his debut as long as he doesn't get stage-fright on his first day at school.

Evening Story was green on debut but started getting the hang of it late on. She should take a step forward here.

Makes her debut, shows a bit at home and this doesn’t look a deep contest. She’s sure to improve for the experience and how she fares is going to come down to how she takes her first day at the races.

Aira Force has progressed all season and won nicely last time, steps up in class but should remain competitive.

Getting on a bit and hasn’t quite got home over six in the past but is a more relaxed horse these days so fingers crossed he can last out.

Frustratingly missed a good chunk of the season with a tooth infection. Returns after the break, could run at a lower level but he goes to the sales on Thursday and this was about the only option left.

Made a nice start to his career at Fos Llas slightly concerned about the soft ground but the drop back should counter the stamina element of those concerns. Very much a horse to improve as a three year old so anythig  he does today a bonus.

Abbey Heights had a niggle in the spring so we gave him a nice break over the summer. He’s a nice horse and will be better than this class in time but may need the run after such a long break. Wide draw a negative.

Has run well in defeat several times this season and deserves to get her head in front this season.

City Cyclone has made an encouraging start and if he takes another step forward can be involved in a fairly open looking race.

Andaleep bids for his sixth win of the campaign, a course and distance winner last week he should be competitive if fully recovered.

A repeat of the effort that saw Fiscal Policy win on handicap debut last week should make him very competitive. The stand rail can have a bias here so being drawn 1 is a disadvantage.

Andaleep hasn’t quite had things pan out for him in stronger  races the last couple of times. Bidding for a fifth win of the season the ease in grade should suit, draw a little tricky.

Helm Rock put up a career best last time to win well at Haydock this is another step up, he loves softer going so the more rain the better

Percy’s Lad has had a good season winning three, he was taken on in front last time out and the pair of horses ended up doing a bit much. Big field a concern as he seems most effective when rolling along in front.

Fiscal Policy is still a work in progress but has stepped forward with each race, but drawn wider than ideal.

Bowland Park gets his ground today and should appreciate the ease in class.

Has shown plenty of ability at home and now needs to translate that to the track. Ultimately she will progress as a three year old but we would hope she can win at two. She will get further in due course but didn’t look quite strong enough over a mile last time out so drops back to seven. She has a nice draw in 2.

Aira Force has progressed with each start. She was a good second last time in a similar race at Kempton. Another step forward would give her a good chance here. This is a big field and her draw in the middle of the pack could have been better, but it also could have been worse.

Returns after a bit of a break. Draw wider than ideal. Congratulations to Arc winning jockey Luke Morris, quite the change up for him to be at Wolverhampton the day after.

Has come forward quite a lot at home recently, having not shown much earlier in the season, nonetheless strikes as the sort of horse who will improve for the experience of her first run.

Got a deserved win on the board under a good ride last time from Luke - has to show she can do it against older horses today.

A big raw colt who is a half-brother to Outgate who did so well for us last year and the beginning of this before being sold to Hong Kong, the favourite will be tough to beat as he already has very good form. However, the small field and big galloping track offer a nice opportunity to start his career off and we hope he will develop into a nice horse in time.

City Cyclone was getting the hang of things towards the end of his debut at Newbury last Saturday and should improve for the experience. There aren't many resricted novice races left on the turf and they are normally less competitive than open maiden/novices so although the turnaround is quicker than ideal, we felt it worth trying with the ground likely to suit.

Looks a competitive race with some unexposed sorts particularly amongst the three year olds, any further ease in the ground a plus, well drawn.

Made it 3 from 6 since joining us last time with a determined effort from the front at Chester. Looks like he will face a challenge for the lead and has a wide draw which isn’t ideal around here but if able to overcome those challenges will remain competitive.

Atlantic Heart threw away a golden opportunity last time but she has gone close to winning a couple of times this season. Hopefully things will fall right for her today.

City Cyclone is a big, scopey horse who will make up into a nice three-year-old. We had intended to give him a debut in a race that was abandoned. This alternative is a tough first attempt for him.

Has been pretty green on both starts so far. Has the ability so hopefully he gets his act together here.

Beat some good sorts when second at Ascot last time and found only one very well bred filly who looked a group horse on the day, unlikely to face anything that good in this and should be able to compete

Got a bit far back in a slowly run race at Windsor last time when finishing fourth in a racing league race. Should remain competitive in a similar event and has held his condition and form remarkably for a horse who has had a busy schedule.

Aira Force has improved with each start and finished strongly over five last time. The step up to six should be a plus in a race we won a couple of seasons ago with Chitra who won 7 for us. The wide draw isn’t idea.

Promotion been unlucky not to win a race. Ground is an unknown but sires progeny often relish give. Again a big field apprentice race so not the best of betting heats.

Eminent Angel step up on trip needs to suit as doesn’t have the pace for shorter trips. Apprentice race with a big field so needs luck.

Moondial opened her account last time at Kempton but these are significantly different conditions with the ground in particular being a bit of a concern. She has met some of these before and there may not be too much between them. Each-way chances.

Was very green on his debut, hopefully he can put in a more professional performance today.

Don't Tell Claire won this race last year off just 1lb lower but she's had a series of hard-luck stories this season. She will need everything to go right and be at the top of her game as there are some improving types who have already shown plenty of ability.

Helm Rock is going for the final of this series and understandably there is a big competitive field seeking the big bucks. He is not one of the most obvious contenders but as they say you have to be in it to win ot.

Drops back a furlong, has run competitively since switched to nurseries over seven and a mile and should once again be involved. The small drop in class hopefully enough to make the difference.

Proved up to the jump in class last time to land the hat trick when posting a career best. Will likely need to find a bit more again here, great prize money so let’s hope he can.

Zulu Girl has been enigmatic this season, should handle the track based on her successes at Brighton

Aira Force quick filly who probably wasn’t seen to beat effect last time out when hampered coming out the gates and getting a tricky trip.

Atlantic Heart has been there or thereabouts in recent starts and we are putting on first-time blinkers today in an attempt to get the last bit extra needed to get her head in front. Based on her sire, softer going than has been prevalent lately ought to a plus. Good chance.

Contessa Verde takes a step up in trip today. If she can settle into a nice rhythm it should suit her galloping stride. We think she can be competitive on this handicap debut.

Helm Rock is also looking for a hat-trick although this is deeper. He won't want the ground to be too quick.

Don't Tell Claire has had no luck this season and once again has a tricky draw. She is becoming well handicapped.

Andaleep has been in great form and seeks a hat-trick though this is tougher. He has good course and distance form and should run his race once more.

Yet to prove he stays this far but we feel it's worth another go - if he can will open up more options.

Needs the extra distance to bring out some improvement, pedigree doesn't scream this far but she hasn't shown enough pace to be competitive at shorter.

Has been a real staff and run well at some of the big meetings, should be very competitive dropped down to this easier level

Will enjoy the extra furlong here. She's a well bred filly who will make into a lovely three year old but we'd hope is up to winning at two.

Ellen Clacy has been very frustrating as she has always shown a bit of ability at home. We're very much hoping that the switch to all-weather enables her to show herself in a better light. Place chances.

Helm Rock won well last time under Nicola and while ideally he wants soft ground, we think he should be fine on this surface. He is up 7lb tonight but remains in great form after Carlisle and it's his last chance to run in a 0-75 for a while - we hope!

Has been knocking at the door and is the type of horse who will win everything falls right. Blinkers replace cheekpieces to try and get a tiny bit extra from him.

Was third last time and may have managed second we’re it not for interference. The extra furlong should be a positive today.

The extra furlong looks like it should suit after a couple of placed efforts over 7f. Takes on the older horses for the first time.

Has been learning with racing and should find the switch to nursery company makes life easier.

A quick return to action under a penalty, hopefully didn’t have too hard a race when winning at Windsor on Sunday as looks a decent opportunity.

Never got involved on her third start stuck out the back at Chelmsford after showing promise on her first two starts. Extra furlong should help in what doesn’t look the strongest of events.

Is quite a burly sort but showed good pace at Nottingham first time out before tiring in the second part of the race. Missed a little bit since with dirty scope so still fitness to come but this is a decent prize, particularly with a couple of valuable bonuses attached so we will give it a shot.  If nothing else she’ll come on more for a race as a gallop at home

We passed up the outside chance of some placed black type yesterday here for Don't Tell Claire for this run in a Sunday series handicap. The more the ground dries the better it will be for her and although she has a big weight and a wide draw, this is a drop in class compared with the Ascot races she has been contesting, and it's a decent prize too!

Andaleep has been very consistent since joining us either winning or being placed in every start. He faces only four opponents and while he has never won over this far he did have placed form over 1m3f in the past. Amateur races always come with a slight warning and the Sir Mark Prescott horse looks a potential worry, but we're sure he can be involved again today.

Non-runner

Winner of this race last year, she hasn’t been as consistent this season, but did win over course and distance. A decent prize fingers crossed she can defend her crown.

Is twice a winner at this course and has been very consistent this season, bar one run at Chepstow where he struggled on the track. He has yet to prove he stays the one mile one furlong but he hit the line well over a mile last time out. Good ground is fine for him but any further rain would be a plus. Nicola is a bonus in the saddle as she is one of the leading female riders.

Takes an ease in grade having run well in some good races this season without quite being good enough to win. Liberation Point finished ahead of him last time but the race was run to suit him rather than us and we hope we can turn the tables. Good ground is fine for him but any further rain would be a plus. Nicola is a bonus in the saddle as she is one of the leading female riders. 

Rampage is top-weight here having struggled in his three novice/maiden races so far. He should find this a more realistic challenge and we are hopeful he can go well despite the big weight.

Went very close last week at Sandown in a race with similar conditions. Has run once here in the past over further and ran well enough to suggest he should be ok on the track.

Two fair runs so far at Salisbury and Newbury - both over this trip. Will gain more experience here and qualify for a mark after this too, which will help going forward.

Tough and hardy has already had a good season winning twice, followed by good runs at Royal Ascot and the July Meeting at Newmarket in deeper races than this. She was a course and distance winner at 2 so handles the track which is always a plus. She goes on most ground but any rain would help her more than some of her rivals. Always tough to win races at these big meetings but she has few things in her favour.

Needs this run to qualify for a handicap mark which will be the level where she can be more competitive. Ground an unknown.

Atlantic Heart was beaten only on the bob of heads last time and should be competitive again in a race under identical conditions. Fingers crossed she can turn the tables on her conqueror that day.

Elterwater completely fluffed her lines on debut missing the break a mile. She goes nicely at home so hopefully she'll be much wiser today.

Andaleep has an excellent course and distance record and should be competitive. We think he can build on the good form he has always shown since joining us.

Moondial steps into nursery company for the first time after her best run on her latest outing. She should continue her progress here although her wide draw is not ideal.

Should have learned on debut and take a step forward here - although there are plenty of smart looking types on paper and novices here are typically very strong.

Has run well in a couple of Class 2's last time out and should be competitive in this Class 3.

Promotion has been consistent since cheek-pieces were added and went well here over course and distance earlier in the season. Hopefully he will be competitive again.

Don't Tell Claire was a course and distance winner last year and went well in a higher grade race here in May. She got no luck in running on the Round Course at the Royal meeting and can hopefully reverse form with a couple of those rivals back on the Straight mile today.

Gets a tongue tie on today for the first time, she didn’t handle the track at Brighton but gets a drop in class here. Chepstow isn’t a the most straight forward track so no guarantee she’ll take to it, but it’s easier than Brighton!

She seemed suited by a big field when running at Royal Ascot - taking a bit of a shot in a race of this value, but you've got to be in it to win it!

Hasn’t lived up to expectations and although she showed a bit more on the track last time, she’ll not be getting many more goes unless she goes well here.

Ran well for a long way in the Hunt Cup this smaller field should suit him better but tackles two rivals looming for a hat trick in what looks a competitive race.

Ran a cracker at Royal Ascot on her first fo at 5f - doing her best work late on. Back to 6f here this evening taking on the older fillies for the first time.

Found the 7f and undulations at Chepstow happening too quick last time but otherwise has run very well in similar contests this season and can be competitive again here.

Fiscal Policy has shown ability at home. He will come on for the run particularly from a fitness perspective, but the race appears to lack depth so not without a chance.

Needs this run to qualify for a mark - she'll be more competitive in handicaps. Will be her first run on the turf.

Ran well in a good race at Epsom last time. This is also good contest, but there’s decent prize money on offer and a field of just 6 so worth a shot from a light weight

Seneca Chief drops in class, and if able to reproduce his first effort in cheekpieces should be competitive despite the widest of the draw.

Makes his first start, a horse with a good action - he is likely to improve for the experience

Elterwater a lovely scopey filly who will come into her own over middle distances next year. Ready to start and will learn for the experience.

Drops a furlong to seven at her favourite course, has been a bit hit and miss this season but won here on her penultimate start. All her four wins have been over a mile so a question there.

Needs this run to get a mark. Drawn wider than ideal too but drops back a furlong as weren't any option on the AW over a mile.

Made a winning start to his time with us. Similar grade of race so should remain competitive from four pounds higher.

The step up to seven furlongs will be in her favour. Not much form to go on amongst her rivals, she’ll likely be better suited to nurseries in due course.

Has won her last two and deserves a shot in this better race. Has done all her racing and winning at six, but should have the pace to cope with this stiff five and ran well for a long way over six here earlier in the season before fading late in a strong race. Drawn out on farside, which based on racing so far this week might not be a problem.

This has been the aim for Don’t Tell Claire. She’s in the form of her life, which she’ll need to be to win. If she can overcome a slightly tricky draw she should have as good a chance as you ever can in a handicap at a top meeting. Fingers crossed we can be lucky.

Percy’s Lad is 2 from 3 since joining has what looks to be a good draw in what is always a massively competitive race!

Found the drop back to 6f at Nottingham too sharp last time so hoping this easy 7f is a better fit as seems a bit between trips.

Well bred filly from a quick family a family that develop with age and racing. She’s one of those horses who will learn a lot from her first run. Always carried plenty of condition so will come on from this. She has an engine and excited about her in the longer term.

Was encouraging on her turf debut and will strip fitter for that first run after a short break. Wide draw a slight negative, but hopefully Richard can find a way to negate that.

Was a little disappointing last time out with no real excuse, we’ve reached for the cheek pieces as he returns to Sandown where he has excellent form, 2 wins and a second. The more the ground dries the better for him.

Outgate won over course and distance at the May Meeting, he followed up with a good third in the silver bowl. This looks slightly easier, he has a good draw Richard Kingscote is excellent at the track. It’s a valuable prize so fingers crossed he can put up a repeat performance.

Was a bit unlucky the way the race panned out last time - hampered out the gates and then denied a clear run at the business end. Takes a class drop here - but should be thereabouts.

Was green early on in her debut, but was starting to get the idea, up to six should be a plus too.

has been pretty depressing to date. She works more than well enough at home to win races like this but seems to have little interest in doing so on the track. So she gets the full works tomorrow, blinkers and Brighton. She wouldn’t be the first horse to turn over a new leaf at the quirky track. Here’s hoping!

Not been with us long so we are still learning about him. Seems to have lost way, but this trip should suit looking at his previous form and ought to be able to be competitive at this level if taking to the track.

Now a four time winner since joining us and this is a similar grade to what she won a couple of weeks ago at Brighton, should remain competitive if putting up a similar showing.

Should have learned plenty on debut and fitness wise should come forward too. Big field but he’s a horse with potential and should be winning races down the line.

Bowland Park has real come into himself in the past couple of weeks. This is a competitive race and it’s valuable prize but he has won over course and distance which is a huge plus around Epsom and worth a shot.

Victim of the abandonment of Haydock on Friday, this was plan B. Sets the standard based on her recent Haydock win but a couple of lightly raced sorts open to improvement could be dangers, should run another solid race.

Bids to continue her education. She will be suited by this step up in trip and should show more second time around.

2-from-2 since joining the yard - this is a step up in grade and will see how he handles the track but if continues as he has done we go there with hope.

Ran a stormer in a better grade at the track last September - however, was bit disappointing last time out at Nottingham following a solid seasonal debut at Ascot. We’ve put that down the sharper track, his best form is over a stiff five, like Sandown, Salisbury and here. Has a decent draw and this looks fairly open.

Won over course and distance under James Doyle on Saturday and bids to back up, should go well again if able to reproduce that effort.

Should have learned a bit on debut, will appreciate the step up here, but more of a longer term project.

A solid horse who has got the hang of things now, never going to be a world beater but deserves to win a race after getting caught very late last time. Drops back a furlong but Carlisle is a real test so should be fine on that front.

Took a step forward last time in first time cheek pieces. That race wasn’t truly run which didn’t really see her to best effect. Needs to show more to be competitive but getting the idea and should take another step forward.

Ran well last time only beaten by a very unexposed horse, pulling well clear of the rest of the field. A big field for a good prize for the grade. The draw not the most helpful.

Admirably tough and consistent, she came out best of those near the front end in a very competitive race at Ascot in a higher grade last time. Big field here again but shouldn’t be too far away.

Took another step forward and comes here off the back of a good win. He’s probably more battle hardened than most of this field which should stand him in good stead. This is a very valuable prize and some of his lightly raced rivals have looked impressive in maiden/novice company.

First ever run on turf. Returns after a short break, most of our horses have taken a step forward for their first run back this turf season but she didn’t have the same amount of time out as most.

Ran a solid race on back on turf last time and repeat effort should see him going close here. The favourite looked an improved horse following a wind op and a break and he will be tough to beat if reproducing that performance. However, particularly a filly backed up quickly isn’t always able to do that so worth taking a chance against her.

A gelding who has come a long way this spring, ready to start and the type to be winning races if he keeps up his progression of the past few weeks.

A dual course and distance winner, including the Brighton Challenge Mile when she had a few of these in behind. Will come forward for first run of the year.

Ran with promise on debut over six furlongs but didn’t really build on that in her 2 subsequent starts over 7. Drops back to 6 for her turf and handicap debut.

Came from the breeze ups last year so is a bit more worldly wise than most of our debutantes. Has been professional at home, could have been drawn slightly better. There was a slight lack of opportunities and this was race was a last minute addition to the program so will come on from a fitness perspective from this as she was being aimed at something in a fortnights time.

Took a good step forward in cheekpieces and switched to the turf last time when finishing third and should be competitive here if repeating that effort.

Gets cheekpieces and an extra furlong - has come forward at home and should take a step forward but the form of the Queen's horse looks strong.

A course and distance winner of a very similar race last summer (2 of todays rivals in behind). Most of ours have come forward for a run but she’s done plenty of work so fingers crossed she goes well again.

Should step forward for last weeks run and this looks a slightly easier affair.

Won comfortably on debut for the yard, a repeat should see him go very well here. Does meet another impressive last time out winner in Swiss Ace.

Big field and very competitive, will need a bit of luck. She’s a game filly and should take a step forward from her recent seasonal appearance.

Ran very well at Newmarket on his first start of the season and has trained well since - good draw here today which is vital around here. Just would not want the ground too soft.

Is probably better on soft turf but there isn’t much about so went for this at a level he ought to be competitive at.

Is a very professional filly who will be better suited by six furlongs and probably seven in time but is ready to start her career and five is as far as you can go at the moment!

Ran as if she had never been to the races on her seasonal debut and showed very little concentration. We’ve gone for the cheek pieces to remedy that. The longer trip should get her in amongst horses, the distance isn’t a given for her on pedigree but we need to get her in amongst horses to get her racing properly and learn more.

Has a great record over a stiff five furlongs so should relish the track - still a bit to come in his coat but has been working solidly ahead of his seasonal reappearance.

A talented horse who lost his way for previous connections - excited to see how he gets on and sure we will learn more too.

Needs to show more, this will qualify him for a handicap though.

Improved 20lbs last season to win 3 times - has wintered well and ready to start her season. A mile is probably her best trip and whilst we wouldn't rule out exploring ten later in the season again she was a touch disappointing when trying it on her last couple of start at the back end of last season.

Got a horrid trip around last time and is better than he shaped. Cheekpieces on to help give him confidence in amongst horses. Looks a very open race with plenty open to improvement.

Outrage has won over course and distance in the past, ran decent races the last twice on his favoured all weather and has dropped to a career low turf mark.

Has trained nicely into her seasonal reappearance and proved a tough consistent sort at 2 winning twice. Case could be made for most in what looks a tight race.

A filly who has shown quite a bit of potential at home. She came in late last year and is still quite immature mentally, so today is very much about getting some experience. She should make up into a nice middle distance type down the line as she develops.

Makes her seasonal reappearance - will be more competitive once she has a mark.

We have been pleased with Outgate's progression over the winter. He won twice last season and finished the season with a second at Newmarket over seven furlongs, looking as if the extra furlong he gets today should suit him well.

Wasn’t beaten far in a much stronger race last time and handicapper has given him a chance to slip into this lower grade so worth a shot. Has run some good races here without ever getting his head in front as the short run in at the track doesn’t always play to his strengths.

Should have learned from debut, nonetheless still has a fair bit to find with a couple here.

Poets Realm is a straight forward horse who showed next to nothing at home at 2, but the penny seems to have been dropping as he has developed the past few weeks. He will come on for this run and learn more. If he keeps progressing as he has at home he might be up to winning in time.

A big field which means a competitive race - Bowland Park enjoys soft ground so any further rain would be a positive.

A big gelding, who is ready to start his season. He should be making further progress this year. Relishes softer ground.

The legs aresn't quite as fast as they were but all the fires still burn. Back at his favourite track so we're hoping to go out on a high. He's been a wonderful horse with 10 wins from 64 starts and a real dude to have around the yard.

Should be competitive now he can tackle handicap company. Only slight negative is the wide draw.

Eminent Angel is ready to start her racing career and will come forward on her first trip to the races and should develop for the experience.

Pleasant Charm gets cheek pieces to help her travel consistently in the race, hasn’t really had things go her way in maidens so far and this classified race with a decent sized field where the pace is more consistent should help.

Promotion at least showed up last time out on his second start having shown very little on debut and should have learned a bit for it. There doesn't look lots of depth bar the leading contenders here, but for win purposes he is only likely to be competitive once he can face handicap company at a lowish level. He will qualify for a mark after today's run.

Bit to prove up to a mile - ran no race on debut and second start became very tactical and didn't suit at all so hoping for a better showing.

Gelded since an underwhelming display on debut towards the end of the turf season, he is a laid back character who will probably going to be better suited to competing in handicaps in due course.

Probably one for handicaps down the line, but needs to show more than he did on debut at the backend of last season.

Won over course distance last time out in a novice race, switches to handicaps and looks to have a been given a fair mark but does give quite a bit of weight to her rivals the way this race has ended up being framed.

Took a good step forward last time, any further improvement would see her go very close if able to overcome her tricky draw.

Was very green and ultimately disappointing over 7f on her debut. She should be a lot more streetwise having done plenty of work in the last few weeks and put will hopefully put that poor showing behind her.

Should appreciate dropping back to five furlongs after showing pace in her first two starts, and the straight track was recommended by Jack last time he rode her.

Best form is over course and distance, his last decent run was over course and distance in November but he has looked a bit lacklustre in three starts since, this ten time winner has been a great servant and given a lot of people plenty of fun over the years and it would lovely to recapture some of his form

Took a step forward on her second start - staying on nicely towards the end when not really getting a clear run. The extra distance is in her favour so hope to see further progress here.

Twice a course and distance winner - he is drawn well in an open looking race. It would be great to get a final win on the board to end off our best year to date. One we hope to build on further in 2022.

Half sister to a 6-time winner for us - Seneca Chief - making her debut here so lacks the experience of her rivals but hopefully will learn plenty.

Percy's Lad ran a bit flat last time but he had had a few runs close together and possibly his brave run from the front in the Royal Hunt Cup took more out of him than it appeared at the time. He's had a brief spell in the paddock to freshen him up and from his good draw, vital at Chester, he has a chance in this competitive

Ended up wide in a small field last time out and was very green when she came of the bridle and tired late on, should have learned that day and hopefully able to take a step forward in this. 

Presently is a lovey big scopey filly who should make up into a lovely three year old over middle distances. She’ll definitely improve for the experience, but has shown ability at home. Her mother was a useful filly that we trained who won a Newbury maiden and was just shy of listed class and the sire has done well with his first runners this season.

Outrage ran below form at Lingfield last time without much obvious in the way of excuses but has seemed in good form at home since, very much a veteran these days we will forgive the odd bad day. The new tapeta surface at Southwell should be to his liking if it has bedded in enough, he loves the straight five at Newcastle so there is every reason to believe Southwell should now suit too. It’s his first run at the venue which might pique his interest.

Hopefully learned a bit from her first run and ready to take a step forward here.

Amani makes her second start, she looks to have sharpened up for the experience first time out, the step up in trip should help see her in a better light, but will still need to improve a fair amount to be involved.

Was green during a recent racecourse gallop, so we would expect a lot of improvement from this first run. Our usual work gallop has been renovated over the past month so we haven't got as good a gauge as we normally would on a first time out runner.

Put up a great effort last time out when third in higher grade of race staying on well at the end of the five furlongs at Newcastle. He has never won over six furlongs but has some good form at the trip and if he can last out anywhere it is around here, something he has not tried before.

Will want further in time and will learn from the experience here - most of her siblings took a few runs to get the hang of things and this fillies homework would be suggestive of a similar type.

Loves the track up here and still showed plenty of enthusiasm on his AW seasonal pipe opener last time out. Looks a competitive race where quite a few have a chance but hopeful he can roll back the years with a good performance

Better drawn than on her first couple of starts, Atlantic Heart can hopefully take a step forward having shown promise on both of those occasions

Run style isn’t really suited to this track and he has the worst of the draw. This should put him spot on following a short break, to freshen up, for other targets this winter. He finished 4th in this last year doing his best work late on.

Has shown some promise at home ahead of her belated debut but sure to improve for the experience

Helm Rock bids for his third win of the year. He looks up to winning at this level and was a bit unlucky the way the race panned out last time.

Zulu Girl steps up in trip in search of a fourth win of the season. If she does stay it opens up a lot of options.

Don't Tell Claire bids to add black type to her CV but a wide draw makes that tough.

Needs to show more turned out quickly stepping up in distance as he enters handicap company for the first time.

Is a gutsy filly who has already won twice this year - hunting for black type. She might lack the class of some of her opposition but will handle the ground which a few won't if she can nick a place by finding some improvement going a furlong longer it would be a result.

Made an encouraging start on debut - staying on well over 6f so the step up should be fine. Wide draws are never ideal around here though.

Didn't show up at all on debut - she goes better than that at home. Will see how she copes with soft going but her mother went well on it.

Needs to show a bit more to get a mark so that she can get into low grade nursery where her chances would be more realistic.

CD winner on soft ground a couple of starts back in a race where the form has worked out well. Things didn't go his way the last couple of starts though and this looks a competitive race.

Been a bit disappointing without any real excuses last couple of times, hopefully switching back to the turf brings him back to a competitive level as his best would see him close although he has wide draw

Game filly who runs her race and should be in the mix as she has been all season, handles most conditions and nothing stands out as being miles ahead of her ability wise on form shown to date.

Steps back up in class having won a decent race nicely last time, the ground is drying which is a definite plus, and the more it does so the better.

Won his novice nicely last time out, steps into handicap company to take on vastly more experienced rivals which presents a different challenge for him, he is open to further improvement based on his homework, still learning about the ground for him, he'll handle some cut, but whether this soft is ideal remains to be seen.

In great form and ran very well in a better class race last time at Pontefract - always needs a bit of luck in these AW sprints though.

Certainly has the ability to win at this level - didn't really get a clean run race last time so probably best ignored - however, as the widest draw here of all to overcome.

Hasn't had his conditions for a while and takes an ease in grade here today as he bids for third win of the year.

Got a deserved win last time out after a string of placed efforts in novice races, bit more on her plate with a penalty here but should remain competitive.

Has run two promising races and this looks a good opening to get a win on the board, he’s probably going to be best over seven or a mile but should have the class to win over this shorter trip.

Steps up to listed level, on the ratings has to find a bit but she’s in great form and won a Class 2 well the last day and deserves a shot at black type

Should enjoy the stiff track at Pontefract, this is a step up in class so will require a career best, he is thriving at the moment.

Ground is probably quicker than ideal but extra distance probably a plus - it’s a small field, so will give it a shot

Has disappointed us, she has not shown the ability on the course she’s shown at home

Generally been consistent at this level without quite winning, slightly below par last time but was quite quick back.

Ready to start his racing career, Newbury is a nice track to start one out and close by, he'll learn from the experience and should develop into a fun horse in due course but it would be a bit of a surprise if he had enough ability on debut to trouble some of those with experience.

A filly who has done some pleasing work at home, always been a little bit green about things so expected to learn from the experience but if she can overcome that she should be capable of running a nice race in this company

Has been staying on well late on his two most recent starts so the step up to 12 furlongs should be a plus. Gets cheekpieces to keep him focused as he has wandered around a couple of times in his races.

Really deserves to win a race and does look to have achieved the most amongst those with form on the board

Already won three this season, had a bit of an off day last time out, no obvious reason why, but that seems to be her, she bounced back earlier in the season after a lacklustre effort. She remains in good form at home. She’s done her winning on more unconventional tracks so it will be interesting to see how she goes on a flat galloping track in pursuit of this good prize.

For all this is a competitive race with a decent prize this looks an easier task than the valuable nursery he took in last time out at York, we’re looking forward to seeing if he can deliver the potential he shows at home.

Has a good record at Sandown - a stiff 5f really seems to suit him. Remains in good form and probably a bit unlucky by the way the race panned out last time out and this is arguably an easier race.

Has been a star for her owners a relatively inexpensive yearling to be competitive at big Saturday meetings has been great fun, this is a decent fillies race but she’s in top form at home so fingers crossed she can get involved at the business end.

Bowland Park steps up in class on the back of 2 wins, needs to continue that progression in this competitive heat.

Wasn’t really suited to the course or the way the race was run at Wolverhampton and that run is best ignored, he ran well for a long way the time before over 10f in a race that has worked out well. This is the quickest ground he has run on but he should be fine on it. He has won over a stiff seven earlier in the year, but his best run was over a mile, we should learn more in what looks a hot contest.

Put up a good performance last time with a troubled trip, not sure a clear run would have been enough to win that day but he’d certainly have got closer, a couple of subsequent winners behind him that day and a repeat should see him competitive again in a similar grade of race.

Has picked up since removing the hose during his races, winning and then finishing third in a race where it was difficult to come from off the pace, this is probably a bit more competitive than those races so will probably require a career best.

Is looking for a hat trick, slight step up in grade again she has handled Brighton and Chepstow so should go well on the track.

Placed in her last three starts - deserves to get her head in front.

Made an encouraging debut and if he can build on that should be competitive here.

Is really seen to beat effect on soft turf but there isn’t really a suitable opportunity at the moment and he needs a run, plus the prize money is decent for the grade.

Needs to take a step forward in this competitive race but shows plenty of potential at home.

Removing the hood saw him get back to winning ways and bids to follow up. Just a pound higher here in what is actually a lower grade contest. Has had a fair bit of racing recently, hopefully it doesn't catch up today.

All his winning is over the minimum five furlongs, this is slightly further but he has run well over six often enough to suggest that he should get away with it, on his last couple of turf starts he’s actually run as if it would suit!

Nothing went right for her last time and a race best to put a line through, if she matches he previous run she should get involved.

Deserves to win after 2 good seconds at Newbury and Newmarket and she has won “her side” of the race in split fields as even on debut at Yarmouth she did best of those drawn her side.

Got back into the winning groove last time and this is a similar race, so should go well again, hard to know how good the unexposed three year olds are.

Has been knocking on the door and should be in the mix again here, he deserves to win a race and is perhaps slightly better on the all weather.

Makes her debut, she’s still developing but looks to have ability, she’s the type of horse who will benefit from the experience of her first run.

Ran no race at all last time out in his first go in handicap company after a promising start to his career. Did come back with a small niggle but is over that now and should run a better race.

Will have to keep an eye on the ground. Go without the hood for the first time in a long time as we feel he has just become a bit flat in it and he has settled down a lot at home, needs to return to form.

Looking to build from an encouraging win on his first run after the gelding operation, unsure how he will handle things if they get very soft as there is a lot of rain forecast, seems to have come out his win well and excited to see if he can continue the good form of the team, five wins from our last sixteen runners.

Loves the track and put up a career best last time out, will need to go even better again in this race which is a decent prize.

Been running well without winning, this looks the easiest race he has tackled and Sean Levey got a good tune out of him when riding him previously.

Ran her best race to date last time and suggested this step to 10 should suit, blinkers replace visors, again the dryer between now and racing the better for her.

Big step up in trip and first time visor, best run in maiden/novice company was a staying on over 11 furlongs so hopefully we can see further improvement now getting the  opportunity to tackle further in handicap company

Bowland Park has been gelded since his last run, given a bit of time to mature and dropped back to in trip, the aim of hits all being to get him to settle better in his races which has compromised his chances on his last 2 starts. If it all works he should go well.

Made a great start to his career - winning nicely first time out. This looks a deeper race so he needs to take another step forward here.

Didn't enjoy the little undulations at Nottingham last week - seems to have taken the race well though and if on a 'going day' should go close. Hayley is also a big plus in the saddle as she is a lot more experienced than most of her rivals in the saddle in this silk series race.

Ran a really good race at Newbury to be second last time and that's probably the best form any of the field have shown so let's hope that level will put her one place better here.

Bit of a retrieval mission after a poor run last time out, perhaps not suited by the track and slightly tacky ground. Has form over seven furlongs and a mile so the small field may play into her hands were it to become tactical.

Small field and fast ground as long as they go quick enough and he breaks well should be very competitive under Richard Kingscote who has won twice on him already this year.

Drop back to a mile should really suit as travelled really well in a good race last time but didn’t quite last home. Wide draw not ideal but hopefully a small enough field.

Abbey Heights makes his debut, he has shown a decent level of ability at home so could run well if he is streetwise enough against more experienced rivals.

Seneca Chief lost a front shoe last time so put a line through that, we’ve always felt he could effective over six furlongs and now he is racing more maturely he should see the trip out.

From Little Acorns hopefully learned from his debut, he is more a type for nurseries later in the year.

Lil Guff makes her debut, would expect her to improve from her first trip to the racecourse

Will be more competitive in nurseries, we should learn a bit more about her this evening.

Probably ran a bit better than bare result suggest both starts this season and this is an easier contest, has won over seven and stays a mile so the stiff track should suit.

Showed a bit more on her second start when getting the hang of things late on. Should improve again and the drop back in trip probably not entirely playing to her strengths but there are few options at the minute for her. Will develop into a handicap in due course.

Made a nice debut at Bath and should appreciate the better ground, hard to know how he will stack up against some very well bred lightly raced young horses from big stables who could be anything, really looking for another step forward and it might be that is enough to be competitive, time will tell.

Course winner but this is the best race she has tackled, ran better than the bare result last time when missing the break last time and we’re excited to finding out if she can compete at this better level.

Course and distance winner making a bleated seasonal reappearance but has been ready for a while, just waiting for better ground. Needs to prove it at this level but professed nicely last year and despite his age is relatively lightly raced.

Won nicely at Brighton last time out. Slightly wrong at the weights under the penalty but a repeat of last time should see her go close again.

Been a bit frustrating - a mix of being a bit free in his races at times and not entirely convincing what his optimum trip will be. Certainly has the ability so will be winning races, especially as his mark has slipped down a bit.

Steps up in trip and gets a faster surface, both of which should be positives in an open-looking race with several unexposed types.

Showed up to a point in a strong race first time out at Goodwood before weakening out of it in the latter stages - expecting some progression - however, this looks competitive enough with several having shown a fair bit of ability.

Helm Rock won in the same grade at the track last week, he steps up a furlong here, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue as he finished strongly and the ground probably won't be as testing today.

Sognatore won't want the ground too soft, has been a slightly frustrating horse as he has ability but has ruined his chances more than once through not settling well enough. He was better on that front last time and hopefully can take another step forward.

Had a great season last year winning three races and has been ready for a while, ideally he’d want faster ground but options are very limited for him at the minute and he needs a run so unless it got soft he will take his chance.

Has taken a while to come to hand, and will improve for today, but is ready to start. Probably wouldn’t enjoy it too soft.

Progressed nicely last season and hopeful she can continue that this season. First run up against race fit rivals so sure to be a bit of improvement still to come as well.

Dream Design built on her debut and will have learned more again last time from that experience as she still showed signs of inexperience.

Helm Rock has shaped with bits of encouragement on all his starts now entering handicap company he should find life a bit easier, he won’t mind give in the ground although if it got very heavy it would not be to his liking.

Hinted at ability on the track last season on her second start and it all went wrong third time out. She has grown over the winter and should be competitive now in handicap company for the first time in what looks an open-looking race.

Look Ahead has her first visit to the races and will learn plenty from the experience, probably the type for handicaps down the line.

Zulu Girl made a great start to life with the team here at Sarsen Farm when second first time out, slightly tougher race after being raised by the handicapper but well drawn and should put up another good effort.

Making her debut and our first 2 year-old of the season. She's been very professional and enjoys her work at home and shown enough to be winning races. Whether that will be today depends largely on how good the opposition are.

Well handicapped on the turf - rated 77 and last win on the AW (Jan 21) was off 83. However, this does look a competitive race, but in good form and certainly worth a go. 

First run for us - showed enought form for previous trainer to suggest she could win a race of this nature. Steps up in trip, which should be a plus but we will learn a lot more about her today.

Has been disappointing since her return from a lay-off. She showed plenty of ability as a 2 year-old and still goes well at home, but things need to click on the track. Hopefully she takes to the surface.

Ran a nice race to be third over course and distance last time out and should come forward for that run. This looks a slightly deeper race though.

Sognatore was left badly positioned in a slowly run race last Saturday at Nottingham, should show up better if this doesn't come too soon and race is run at more solid pace.

Dream Design was very green early on debut but hopefully learned something that day and can take a step forward this time around.

Long time since winning on the turf but ran some good races in defeat last summer and is a CD winner here too (2015). Should be going well if transferring recent AW form to here.

Steps up in trip to ten furlongs for his run on turf, also has a hood added as he has thrown away his chances by travelling keenly a couple of times.

Seems to have really taken to this track having won his last two starts here. Slightly up in class as a result and always needs a bit of luck in-running but should remain competitive

A big scopey horse who has been gelded over the winter, he ran well for a long way at Newbury on debut on heavy ground last year before tiring late on. He is just ready to start out again this season we're hopeful he can develop into a nice sort in time as he gains experience.

Small field but an interesting race, but the Godolphin horse looks a cut above the rest.

Got hampered out the gates last time out and was entitled to need the race following a long layoff. The extra distance should be in her favour on her first attempt at a mile and a half, wide draw never ideal but matters less at this trip.

Very green on her debut when never able to get into the race, looks to have at least learned from that experience and the step up in distance should allow her to get involved in the action. She'll learn more again this time around.

Ran well on his first go in handicap company last time out in a higher grade race, dropping back a furlong probably not ideal but should get away with it in what looks a slightly easier assignment.

Very green on debut - got left in the gates after being in for an age - should go a bit better here but likely to be one for the handicaps down the line.

Competitive looking heat, quite a few step up in trip making it hard to gauge, mark looks a touch high based on what he achieved in his novice runs but he should be suited by the extra distance.

Missed the backend of last season with a sinus infection - excited to get him back in action, in what looks an interesting race and steps up in trip again here.

Has shown plenty of ability at home - would expect her to learn from the experience here but if she's able to put it together on her first day at school then should run a nice race.

Making her debut - lacks a bit of focus in some of her homework so wears cheek pieces. Her mother was a winner for us on her first start for the yard wearing blinkers too. She'll learn a lot from today and we'll also learn more about her too.

Returns after an absence, albeit she was ready to run last year and had an issue just when racing resumed so absence not as dramatic as it first looks. Wears a tongue tie as she sometimes gets her tongue over the bit at home and this stops that, making life easier for her jockey. Will relish the extra distance she gets here and is likely to want further in due course.

First day at school for this filly - she will improve for the experience and is likely to need further as the season develops.

A bit of a rematch following his recent course and distance victory - Pop Dancer and Saaheq were a neck and a half a length behind that day and Saaheq has gone onto win impressively since. So, likely to be a tight contest!

Difficult to gauge the strength of the race with some smartly-bred newcomers. Sognatore has been gelded after some errant behaviour last time out - looking for better behaviour here and hopefully a better result.

A bit of a rematch between horses that have run against each other on the 21st Jan. Outrage just got pipped late on that day by Be Proud. Outrage won at Lingfield a few days later though and hoping he continues the good form as he has beaten most of the rest of these on previous meetings this winter.

Last run before she heads to the sales, the draw could have been kinder but if anywhere near her best should be competitive at this level.

Outrage has been second on his last three starts including over course and distance and really deserves to win, bit quick back but a small field so worth taking our chance in a small field and he has backed up to win quickly in the past.

River Sprite ran well over course and distance two starts ago and ran well again at Chelmsford last time when not really getting the run of the race, finishing well having been left too much to do. Seems suited by ten furlongs.

Good record over course and distance and in decent form, having finished second in similar company on his last two starts.

River Sprite 4lbs well in following a career best run when stepped up to this distance last week at Lingfield, hasn't enjoyed much luck at this venue in the past, main concern is that this is back quite quick and she isn't always consistent.

Lady Dauphin had shown promise on her first couple of starts of the yard, but was disappointing last time out at Newcastle without any apparent excuse. Drops into a lower grade and if firing should be competitive.

Needs to show something today on her return after a wind-op. Shows some ability at home but hasn't translated that to the track. Hopefully the op has been successful and she will finish her race better.

Game filly, who has done plenty of winning and dangerous off this mark in a competitive race and has a nice draw in 1.

Steps up in trip to a mile and a quarter - difficult to predict as she is not the most consistent but does has ability.

In good form at the moment after a close second at Lingfield last time out and only a pound higher. This looks a nice opportunity at a track he has a good record at (won here 4 times).

Third in last three starts so has been knocking on the door. She didn't really see out the 1m2f last time at Chelmsford either so the drop back to a mile is a big positive, while that last run also came off a 2 month break. 12 runners, but looks a race of two halves, but we feel we are in the main half of those with a chance - each-way.

Showed promise on debut but this is a big ask from a wide draw (12) against a couple of previous winners.

Probably not his ideal track here but looks a winnable race and Hollie got a good tune out of him a couple of starts back.

Outrage - a rare attempt at 6 furlongs, although he has never won over more than the minimum distance (5f) he does have some decent form at this trip.

Consistent sprinter on the AW at this level and has run well the last twice with two close fifths at Lingfield - dropped a pound this time helps. Switch to Chelmsford is fine and a nice draw here today in 2. Jockey Richard Kingscote also gets on well with the horse - 5 of his 7 career wins have been with Richard riding.

Little bit disappointing last time out, but was perhaps in wrong place the way the race developed. Cheekpieces on for the first time too. Not 100% certain to handle the surface but her mother was a winner on the dirt in the US, which is often a good pointer.

Improved for her debut and ran a nice race when fourth last time stepped up to seven furlongs. She should build on that again now going over an extra furlong. The fifth from her last race has come out and won giving the form a bit of substance.

Is 2-from-2 at the track and ran a good race last time out after a freshen-up when beaten less than a length in a deeper race than this!

Loves Lingfield - however, her winning has been done over 5f rather than 6f. She has won over 6f earlier in her career but always found it stretching her in slightly better races. Eased a bit in grade here so she might get away with it under Adam Kirby, who rides the track better than anyone.

Disappointed on handicap debut on tacky ground and should put up a better performance on the Tapeta surface after a short break.

Didn't get the splits when looking through best horse at Newcastle last week - track doesn't necessarily play to his strengths and the draw hasn't been kind, but nonetheless has a good chance.

Has had a good season and improved all year resulting in a course and distance win last time out on her first go over a mile. This is tougher again but had a little in hand last time so should be competitive once more.

A course and distance winner two starts back on her first run at this distance. Didn't get the rub of the green last time at Chelmsford - slightly up in grade too but should still be competitive.

First couple of starts for the yard haven't really panned out tactically - should be involved in the mix today though. Ground fine, but not the best draw in 12 so needs to overcome that.

If he breaks well he should go very close in this grade over his favourite course and distance despite it looking a strong race for the grade. Hollie Doyle rides.

A big colt with plenty of scope - really a horse for next season and today is all about getting a bit of experience into him.

Seneca Chief has been progressive this season - winning three times - and has had a little freshen up since his last run, he didn’t handle softer going that day and has great record over five furlongs on the all weather.

Barossa Red ended up on the wrong side of the track last time out and ran better then bare form, enjoys soft ground still learning about him.

Bids to add to recent win on first go over a mile, but is another of ours today that has a terrible draw (13).

Consistent sort that ran another solid race last time at HQ - going down by just a head. First go over a mile (up from 7f) - if it brings any improvement she should go close.

Hasn't really gone on from an encouraging start to her racing career as a 2 year-old. Hoping the step up in trip brings about a return to form.

Lovers’ Gait has two course and distance wins this summer and relishes very fast ground so despite this being a deeper race should go well.

Lady Dauphin made an encouraging first start for the yard when third and can hopefully build on that here in a similar grade of race.

Yet to really make an impact on the track, he has shown enough at home to suggest that he is capable of winning a race such as this, just needs to put it together on the track now.

Ready for her first taste of a racecourse here today - 6f will give her a nice introduction but will be better over a little further with some experience under her belt.

CD winner here, but not gone from a really encouraging course and distance win last season - and was too free over further last time so will need to learn to settle better here today, but hopeful the drop back in trip will help.

Steps up to 1m4f in a deeper race here so more on his plate - has won two from two at the track though this summer so that's a big plus.

Has not really fulfilled the promise she showed last year - and we were 4 3/4 lengths behind Morrooj over 1m last time (we meet that horse again, but we are 8lbs better off). We are also hoping the return to 1m2f here today will be a plus and that can spark a return to form.

Improved with each start in novice company and will find this easier. Extra distance a plus too, just a slight concern that this comes a little quick after his last run, but it looked a good opportunity for the horse.

Should find the switch to handicap company means he can be more involved. The step up in distance should also suit.

Won well over course and distance three weeks ago - tackles better company as a result this time. Going easier than what he has encountered previously, so he has a couple of questions to answer. He has been progressive all summer so hopefully he can answer them.

Reims has her first start for the yard tomorrow, bit of a fact finding mission as we are still learning about her, doesn’t look the strongest of races so worth taking a shot albeit we’d be really keen to get her on turf which is where the family seem to thrive.

Lovers Gait - Back to the scene of the crime as she bids to follow up recent course and distance win. Up in grade but did it comfortably enough last time to suggest she will be up to this class. Lightly raced and the small field will probably suit her.

A case can be made for most here - she has been placed on all three starts this year in novice company and learned plenty on her true debut last time out, when early interference knocked her out of rhythm but she finished the race nicely and should see out the stiff 7f nicely on that evidence.

A competitive heat - only his second start on the turf and will need to show more improvement but his homework is suggestive that he can be competitive at this level.

Will be monitoring the ground through the day. Hoping the step up in trip and the wind op gets her career back on track.

Tight handicap - several have similar chances but she's in good form and in yesterday's evidence seems to have the best of the draw.

Won impressively last time and deserves a shot at some black type - will need to show further improvement against some that have already shown form in Group races.

Race didn't pan out well last time for him but showed the old desire remains and this is perhaps a little easier.

Upped in class after his two easy wins last month as his mark has shot up. Has to prove he has enough ability to be competitive in this grade.

Ran well to finish second on both starts this season - both times shaping as if this step up to 7f will suit.

Looking forward to getting this filly on track. Has been encouraging at home and sure she’ll be winning races in due course albeit bound to improve for today’s experience and some decent looking rivals. Will probably want at least a mile too.

Taking a chance up slightly in class against some rivals who - although they have plenty of ability, maybe have a few question marks against them at the moment. So perhaps the race isn't as strong as it could be, given the grade. The rain has stayed away and hopefully continues to do so as Chitra is probably at her best on a sharper track than this one and although she handles good-to-soft she's better when it's quicker ground. 

Looking for Salsa Dip to take another step forward in his development but probably more of a horse for handicap company in due course.

A big field which always brings it's challenges. Ground should be ideal and will have come forward from her reappearance run where she didn't really get the run of the race after missing the break.

Was green on debut in a race that featured a few with big reputations - three ran in the Coventry. Should take a step forward in what shouldn't be a deep race.

Needs to step up on his debut effort - further in distance will help but on evidence of debut even further still than here today.

Returns from a long break, but this is his game. He has an excellent record at the track and over this trip, plus his homework shows he still has the same zest for life. The negatives are that he has normally needed a run or two to blow away the cobwebs, while the draw here isn't normally the best, but the bias can change! The quicker the track rides the better so any rain to tighten it up would also help.

Second on debut over 6f at Kempton - a little disappointing over 7f twice since so dropping back to 6f here should help.

Made a solid reappearance and should come on. A tight sprint handicap and several would have similar chances.

Ideally we wanted to start her off over ten furlongs however it’s been very difficult getting her into a ten furlong race and she is crying out for a run so we start out over a mile. Initial impression would be better ground will be ideal. Her first start since joining the yard. Keen to get her season underway and learn a bit more about her.

Kings Counsel a big rangy horse who has been brought along slowly, suspect he will want even further in due course. Has strengthened from 3 to 4 but needed to as his handicap mark looks harsh on what he achieved last season when qualifying.

Don’t Tell Claire made a promising seasonal reappearance and a repeat of that from a decent draw should hopefully see her getting competitive here.

Seneca Chief bids for his hattrick, needs to prove he gets six furlongs but has looked like it is likely now he has settling in his races better and showing a bit more maturity, draw wider (9) then ideal.

Seneca Chief bids to follow up a nice win in a similar race on Friday at Wolverhampton, again not the best of draws and his style of running relies on a bit of luck in-running. He has, however, won over course and distance in the past.

Chitra paired up with Richard Kingscote, they have an excellent record together with five wins from seven attempts. Seems in good form at home and as long as the ground doesn't get too slow should go nicely on a track that might suit her.

A very big rangy gelding who probably wouldn't have seen the track a lot earlier than this in any case. He is ready to get a run but is very much the type who will learn a lot from his first run. This looks a very good novice race on paper.

Had his issues and endured a horrible trip last time out on his return action after a long layoff, no sooner had he resumed racing lockdown began. Now he is drawn widest off all. Not sure a horse can get much worse luck then this guy manages, hopefully it will turn at some point because he does show he retains the ability he showed in the first part of his career.

Will want a bit of rain to run, there is some forecast. Looks a good spot for her to begin her season and she should enjoy the stiff mile.

Has done some nice work at home. But, she hasn't quite got the hang of breaking sharply, which is a concern at a track that was strongly favouring the front runners.
