"Wistari Rocks - A horse that has always some promise at home and that came to light on the track last time out here when winning well. Up 4lbs for that and we've given him 5-6 weeks off to get over that. Didn't want to rush him back so he's had a nice break and seems better for it. Conditions ideal and in what doesn't look the best of races and the horses still in decent order then expecting a big run here - you never can tell in this game, but really we'll be disappointed if he's not taking this."

"Dutch Golden Age - A horse which has been very slowly coming to hand but very happy with him at the moment. Should have every chance with a reasonable draw (2)."
27/10/16 1st 3/1
"Penny Dreadful: Is well at home - yes, needs to bounce back following a poor run last time out, but is well drawn (3) here and the return to Chelmsford a plus (previous CD winner). Likes to race up with the pace so hoping for a lot better today and looks a fair each-way price to me."
27/10/16 2nd 12/1
"Touch Of Color - The in-form Bazzat, who heads here on a three-timer is the one we've all got to beat. Our horse is trying Chelmsford for the first time and we are hopeful she likes the quick surface. Still looking for her first win from 12 starts so becoming a bit exposed, but off this mark and with this change of scenery/surface small place claims, but we all might be playing second fiddle to the market leader."
27/10/16 3rd 12/1
"Seek The Fair Land - Dropped into a 65 and looks well treated, especially with Paddy's 3lb claim too. Needed the last two runs after a break and seems a lot better now. Good draw in 2 and loves it here at Lingfield. Looks a cracking e/w price to us and expecting a good run."
27/10/16 3rd 3/1 (from 12/1)
"Hallings Wish - Slightly disappointing last time. Still running in the same grade and hopefully 1½ miles will sharpen him up a bit. He's been workiing well at home though and we're hoping to get a good e/w run out of him today."
26/10/16 1st 7/1
"Mithqaal: A very hot race with a big pot so no surprise that we've got a decent field heading here. Was a good winner for us at HQ 2 runs ago, but failed to follow-up off a 10lb higher mark next time. However, the step back up in trip will suit and we get weight all-round. First run at the track, but likes a quick surface so should be fine. Not without a chance (looks an each-way price), but obviously fear the Godolphin horses, plus Banditry, in a race of this nature"
26/10/16 3rd 14/1
"Brasted: Looks between us and two others - Fullon Clarets and Unforgiving Minute - we've a bit to find on these terms with those, but these sellers don't always pan out as the weights suggest. Shame there are only 7 runners now as we thought we looked to have a great chance of hitting the top 3. That said, the favourite has run very badly the last three times so a lot to prove and that gives us hope - we are at least proven at the track being a course winner. 7f trip okay, but has plenty of speed too - should be thereabouts with the horses going well at the moment."
26/10/16 2nd 9/1
"Looksnowtlikebrian - Scrambled home at Fontwell last time out so we'll have to see how much that effort took out of him. Runs here on the same mark, hence the quick return, but George, who claimed 10lbs last time, is replaced by Richard in the saddle. Would be slightly concerned this is coming a bit quick, but seems well at home and deserves to take his chance. The weak nature of the race gives us hope regarding this race being only 6 days after he won - fear Keep Up Keira and Thunder Pass, but still hoping for a big run."
25/10/16 1st 5/4
"Aqalim - A nice race to be involved in with the World Hurdler - Thistlecrack - making his debut over fences. Goes without saying that we'll all be playing second fiddle to him (barring accidents) - our horse finished well behind him three times over hurdles last season when with John Ferguson! We expected a bit better from our horse last time out on his chase debut at Bangor, but not the most straight-forward. Has ability and some decent hurdles form and we are hoping that first run over fences has taught him a bit. Looks between us and the Hobbs horse for second though - hopefully it will be us!"

“I enjoy reading the e-mails each day and getting the trainers thoughts. I have been keeping my punting to the 4 & 5* advices for now. Today I read the thoughts of Jamie Snowden on Lucy's Girl - but then looked at the race - rank outsider of 4 runners - never have picked that myself in a month of Sundays - but the trainer was confident so put on a tenner at BFSP - happy days with a return of 36/1. The fee is a small price to pay for such inside info”. Ian S
