trainers quotes

"We've always liked Kassis and she ran well off this mark last time out at Plumpton when I really fancied her. This looks a stronger race, but she's in good form at home and I think she should run another decent race."
Jamie Snowden

30/03/15 1st 5/1

"Storm Rock - Looks a tough race but the horse is well and we were really pleased how he did last season. Any rain would be a plus and hopeful he can be in the shake-up with the step up in trip ideal too."
Harry Dunlop

29/03/15 3rd 11/2

"Puffin Billy: In good order - does have to give weight away all round but is very well after his recent confidence booster at Leicester. This will be harder, but the rain that's come is a big plus and that will also be against the favourite. Obviously just hope he jumps round as had has his problems, but if he does comes here with a big chance with track and ground in his favour."
Oliver Sherwood

29/03/15 1st 5/4

"FLECKERL was very consistent in his runs last year. He seems very well at home in his work but I always felt he was better than he showed last year.  He is still working well so I am hopeful of a really good each way chance."
William Muir

29/03/15 4th 9/1

"Walk Like A Giant: Brian Ellison and Tony Carroll have good records in this race so their runners are respected. Our horse comes here in fine fettle from the AW and is still fairly lightly-raced. Yet to win on the turf, but only had 3 runs. Expected to make presence felt as long as the horse can settle as can run a tad free. We'll try and switch him off and if that's the case probably rates our best chance on a tricky day."
Mick Appleby

28/03/15 1st 4/1

"Ashford Wood: Had been under the weather and had a few problems, but seems better now. Doesn't look the best of races so dropping in grade here helps us. Drop back in trip a plus too and ground not an issue. Fair e/w chance."
Tim Vaughan

28/03/15 1st 11/2

"Akula: Back over hurdles here after running on the AW last time. If he runs to the form of his third at Market Rasen on Boxing Day then a decent chance. We take off 7lbs too with Alan John's claim. Fit and well, and with think ready to rumble - well handicapped so has a decent chance today."
Tim Vaughan

28/03/15 1st 4/1

"Penny Dreadful: First run back - pleasing debut last September and has done well over the winter. AW expected to suit her and headgear on today. Better expected, but might still find 2-3 too good looking at the rest."
Scott Dixon

27/03/15 2nd 7/1

"Brother Tiger: Won well here last time - the second has since franked the form. Up only 3lbs and remains in good form. Likes it here and hopeful of another big run."
David C Griffiths

27/03/15 1st 5/4

"Go Nani Go: Probably needs to be down to a 0-75. Was happy enough with his last race at Wolverhampton. Lingfield suits better, not the best of draws (8), but at around 25/1 probably worth a LITTLE nibble e/w."
Ed de Giles

“Could you thank Scott Dixon for being so honest with Sir Geoffrey (W5/1) it has just paid for my Christmas!” - Dave W

“I enjoy reading the e-mails each day and getting the trainers thoughts.  I have been keeping my punting to the 4 & 5* advices for now. Today I read the thoughts of Jamie Snowden on Lucy's Girl - but then looked at the race - rank outsider of 4 runners - never have picked that myself in a month of Sundays - but the trainer was confident so put on a tenner at BFSP - happy days with a return of 36/1. The fee is a small price to pay for such inside info”. Ian S
