"GOLANOVA was rather caught out by the trip last time. 2m 1f proving too sharp for him under quick conditions and not jumping that well early on. Fast ground conditions again today but I expect a more sedate pace over this longer trip."

"Akavit: Think the ground will be fine. If it is I think even with his hike he'll have a very good chance. But all three of mine today don't show much value in the betting."

"Zugzwang: If it was good-to-firm I think he'll be a penalty kick. So question mark if he handles the rattling ground. I think he will so very good chance."

"Quinta Feira: As I said before much better than his mark. We'll ride him slightly differently today to see if we can kid him into winning."

"This is Secret Missile's first run for us. He's been drawn well and the track, trip and ground should suit this fast horse."
22/04/15 2nd 9/2
"For Shia And Lula: Was a bit unlucky on his last start - he lost his position at a crucial stage of the race and finished off very well. On a line of form with the Ed McMahon horse that ran in that race (Gold Club) I think we've got the beating of Shane Kelly's ride (Wickhambrook), so I will be very disappointed if we are not hitting the crossbar at the very least - so a confident 4 stars here tonight."
21/04/15 1st 3/1
"A poor race but that also says something about the horses here. Beaten favourite last time at Leicester so needs to bounce back from that - until I see a lot more on the track it's hard to be confident."
21/04/15 3rd 10/1
"Dr Red Eye: Didn't seem to like the headgear last time out. Faces tough competition for the lead and it may well be enough to look at a couple who are likely to finish well off a strong pace."
21/04/15 2nd 8/1
"Goolagong Girl: Back into handicap company here, so that helps a lot. Down a few pounds from last handicap run and Danny continues to take another 3lbs off. Place chance at a fair price."
21/04/15 2nd 8/1
"Milgen Bay: Won nicely last time out. He's in great order at home and with it being only a two runner race we will just have to wait and see."

“I enjoy reading the e-mails each day and getting the trainers thoughts. I have been keeping my punting to the 4 & 5* advices for now. Today I read the thoughts of Jamie Snowden on Lucy's Girl - but then looked at the race - rank outsider of 4 runners - never have picked that myself in a month of Sundays - but the trainer was confident so put on a tenner at BFSP - happy days with a return of 36/1. The fee is a small price to pay for such inside info”. Ian S
