Gordon Grey was taken on for the lead the other day when in addition he needed the run. I'm not sure Lingfield is his track either. He came out of the race well and back around a track he prefers, we have to give him a decent chance.

15th Jan 2025 – RESULT 3rd 16/1 – Old Cowboy – Gary & Josh Moore Newbury
Old Cowboy is a nicely-bred recruit from the English pointing field. He ran okay both times and we're looking forward to this Rules debut.

15th Jan 2025 – RESULT 1st 4/1 – Big Bard – Gary & Josh Moore Kempton Park
Big Bard was denied a run the other day. His last two runs were encouraging and he is versatile enough to respond well to his amateur rider. Decent chance in an open-looking race.

15th Jan 2025 – RESULT 1st 7/1 – Toughly – Ollie Sangster Southwell
I think Toughly ought to win this. She's showing that she's a mid 70's horse at home and shaped nicely enough first time over the CD last month. Hopeful.

13th Jan 2025 – RESULT 2nd 16/1 – Grand Duchess Olga – Julia & Shelley Birkett Wolverhampton
Grand Duchess Olga is in good form. She is a good ride for an apprentice but we would have preferred 2m rather than 1m6f. She did run well over the CD last time, though, and has an each-way chance.

13th Jan 2025 – RESULT 1st 3/1 – Jack Sprat – Jamie Snowden Exeter
Jack Sprat improved to win a couple of handicap hurdles when allowed to go up in trip last season. He has the size and scope to jump a fence but while he has run okay in three outings so far, the switch hasn't brought the expected improvement. Back over hurdles here, I think he can…

13th Jan 2025 – RESULT 2nd 6/1 – Luna Effect – Gary & Josh Moore Lingfield
Luna Effect has been qualifying for a hurdles mark with three recent runs. Before that, he was unplaced behind today's rival The Colorist and the small swing in the weights in his favour may not prove enough.

11th Jan 2025 – RESULT 2nd 7/4 – Patrol – Dylan Cunha Wolverhampton
Patrol should win. He ran two good races for us including when a close 3rd over this CD before getting his head in front at Southwell. Up 3lb, he is the one they have to beat.

11th Jan 2025 – RESULT 1st 3/1 – Double Click – Jamie Snowden Ffos Las
Course winner Double Click made a pleasing return to action when 3rd at Leicester at the beginning of last month but was outpaced in a better race over Christmas. Regular partner Will Featherstone takes off 7lb in this race where he steps up in trip. Proven in deep ground, he should have each-way chances here.

11th Jan 2025 – RESULT 1st 7/1 – Up For Parol – Jamie Snowden Ffos Las
Up For Parol might not have won a race for three years, but he has more than paid his way, being placed in a couple of £100,000 handicap hurdle races in the interim. He was back in his routine on comeback this winter, running another creditable race at Sandown when 2nd, albeit beaten a long…

08/01/24 – RESULT 1st 2/1 – Torneo – Jamie Snowden Taunton
Torneo did well in juvenile hurdles last season and we've switched him straight to fences because he is such an assured jumper. Third on debut at Uttoxeter, he has twice been 2nd at Wincanton and Hereford. the form of both races has been working out well and with natural progression, he should go very close…

7th Jan 2025 – 2nd 7/2 – Dark Mystery – B. F. Brookhouse Wolverhampton
Dark Mystery ran a solid race over the course and distance just over two weeks ago. He was beaten a neck by today's rival Altheim and has come out of that race in good form. Hopefully, he can turn around that verdict on the revised terms.

1st Jan 2025 – RESULT 2nd 11/2 – Doc McCoy – Jamie Snowden Southwell
Doc McCoy won on hurdling debut but after finishing 4th under a penalty, picked up an injury and was off for almost a year before returning last month. He badly needed the run then and will improve for more chasing experience, but there is decent prizemoney on offer here.

1st Jan 2025 – RESULT 3rd 15/2 – Havaila – Gary & Josh Moore Exeter
Havaila showed some promise in staying handicaps on the flat in the autumn but his two runs over jumps since then have been disappointing considering there were no fitness issues. On his best form, he would have a decent shout.

This Getaway filly is a half-sister to five winners including smart Simonsig. Out of a bumper and hurdle winner, she is bred to be talented and again was in pre-training in Ireland all through 2023. She arrived here in the autumn, has done plenty of work and can go well here on racecourse debut.

31st Dec 2024 – RESULT 2nd 17/2 – Friday Again – Simon Dow Lingfield
Two in this. Friday Again has shown signs of ability in her maidens and this track should play to her strengths. She may well stay further in time and still shows signs of inexperience but it would be no surprise to see her involved if things go smoothly for her.
