Dave Griffiths - “Take Cover ran a cracker at Royal Ascot to be 5th in the King's Stand. Has come out of that race really well and been working amazingly recently. Should be easier for him now into Listed company - as we all know only knows one way to run and that blast out, but is a past CD winner here after winning this race in 2014. Ground, draw (12) and jockey all pluses - hopeful of a good run.” 1ST 9/2 (TQ VIEW)
Mick Appleby - “Danzeno - Ran a cracker to be 5th in the Wokingham and only beaten 1 1/2 lengths that day. Gets in here off the same mark so every chance of going close again. Tough race, but the horse is well and SDS an obvious plus in the saddle. Ground and trip (stays further) are fine.” 1ST 4/1

Jane Chapple-Hyam - “Kapersky - Has done well since Royal Ascot - ticking over nicely. That said, this is a hot race with two main dangers in Mutakayyef, who won this race 12 months ago, and Sovereign Debt. Only 7 runners, but the horse is well and hopeful of a place chance at a nice price.” 2ND 14/1
Mick Appleby - “Big Country - Been a busy horse of late, but has taken his racing well. Ran well for much of the way last week in the Old Newton Cup. That was over 1m4f so this drop back in trip is a plus and we take off 7lbs this time with Raymond's claim. Super tough race, but looks well-handicapped and returns to the scene of his course and distance win here 2 starts ago. Draw 4 probably not ideal, but if getting the luck in-running the hoping for a decent effort.” 2ND 7/1
