Spanish Mane has been a star for the yard and loves this track. On the negative side, she always needs a run at the start of a season and is in a higher grade than in which she wins. Will improve for the run.

Silver Shamrock made a pleasing seasonal debut ten days ago when she was beaten only two lengths. She has come out of the race in great shape and should have come on for the run. This is a lower grade today so she should have a good each-way chance.

Clenched has struggled in novice hurdles but now runs in her first handicap when I expect her to be more competitive. The track and quicker ground will suit.

Macho Sun has been unlucky not to have won a race by now. He runs well fresh and loves heavy ground, with all his best runs over this CD. He's well handicapped so should have an each-way shout.

Heer's Sadie makes her seasonal debut at her favourite track. She has done well for her winter break and with trip and ground to suit, hopefully, she has an each-way chance.

Smokey Maloe always runs his race and is a CD winner. He is in great form but his winning usually happens in a lower grade than today's.  Hopefully, he has each-way chances.

Corporate Raider makes his seasonal debut after a winter break. He has done well physically and has been working well but his best form is on turf. This is quite a weak race and Ross's riding him is a bonus so we hope he can run into a place.

Hurricane Kiko has been disappointing since his two-year-old days. On the positive side, his work at home has been good and he has become very well-handicapped. We have fitted a hood to see if he can find his best form again.

Notre Dame has done very well since going handicapping on the AW. She remains in good form and should transfer that ability to the turf. If the ground is good or quicker she should be thereabouts.

Silver Shamrock makes this a double challenge for the yard. She makes her return for the season but did run well over this CD last year and has strengthened over the winter. Will improve for the run.
