Gozo ran well the last day when he was just edged out by what could well prove to be a decent horse. We're reapplying the cheek-pieces today and they seem to have had a positive effect at home. Hoping he can go one better today.

Cardano has had a break since his last race. He seems in good form and goes well fresh so hopefully, he can run a big race tonight.

Diamond Dealer ran well for a long way at Wetherby. The trip and track are in his favour today and hopefully, the return to drier ground will help him finish off his race.

Liberated Lad won earlier this year over 2m and the last two runs since over shorter have been less creditable. He runs with an inexperienced rider once more and hopefully, he can teach her something on the way round.

Tactical Control was a bit underwhelming last time so he has had a break since. Hopefully, freshening him up will have had a positive effect.

Gozo ran an excellent first race back from a break and the form of that Wolverhampton race has worked out well. He came out of it in good form and goes again in what looks a weaker contest.

Non-runner

Liberated Lad got stuck in behind a slow pace at Southwell and that did for his chance. He is in good form at home and we're stepping back in trip where we should get a more honest gallop.

Redhot Whisper seems to keep bumping into nice horses in maidens. Life's never easy giving so much weight to 3yos but he's in good form and cheek-pieces hopefully will eke out a bit more in the finish today.

Dark Mystery has been running consistently over middle to long distances.   He jumps well so we are trying hm down a different avenue. I'm not sure if he'll enjoy the ground but does have a bit of form on it.
