Twirler has been a star over the winter and she looked in need of a step up in trip last time at Lingfield. She has run well at Wolves and seems in good order at home. Hopeful.

Sweet Carolina won impressively over the course and distance on debut recently and I hope today's race is just as straightforward. She seems in good order and we've booked Oisin Murphy to ride.

Holy Fire is a wonderfully consistent filly but she hasn't raced much on turf. Doncaster had a lot of rain yesterday and she would be doubtful if the ground became too testing. If she does run, 6f at Donny should suit her perfectly.

A Gift Of Love ran well twice on AW but we have always felt she would be better on turf. She should love Donny and the big field should not be a problem. Spencer is a master in these sorts of races and the filly seems to be on a competitive mark.

Shadowofyoursmile got her knickers in a twist at Southwell last time but she has run well before at Wolves She will be much better suited to turf and should have no problems with the ground. She can take a step forward.

Tan Rapido is very quick but got caught out at Wolves where something took him on for the lead and he ended up doing too much early. The other horse faded while he kept going only to be done on the line. Conditions are ideal today and we will find out where we stand with him.

Wynter Wildes has been a star for the yard but this is likely to be her last season's racing as she has been covered recently. The 12 furlongs around Epsom should suit and the ground is perfect. She has done plenty of work so should be fit for this seasonal debut.

Mesaafi ran well at Kempton recently in a decent race. He was a touch keen that day and got tired and I just wonder whether he is better over 6f. He's certainly bred for it, and we will find out today!

Quercine did well over the winter and we gave her a little break after her victory at Southwell. I've always felt she would be better on turf and this seems the ideal place to start. We think she will love the ground but you never know until you try it.

Sense Of Reason was very weak and immature last year so we never got him close to a run. He has done incredibly well over the winter however and looks great now. Like all of mine, he will improve for the debut but this is a nice starting point.

Glam Squad is a lovely big horse that is ready to run. He moved yards last year so we are still learning about him but this looks the perfect starting point. He can run a promising race today.

Vadream normally takes a run or two to get going but she has had a much smoother preparation this year than I've ever had with her. This is the perfect starting point and the ground should be beautiful. She should go well.

Teraabb should have got into the winner's enclosure after several decent efforts last year. You can put a line through his final start as I should never have run him at Lingfield. This will suit him far better and he will love the ground.

Gorak was an absolute star last year and was raised a huge amount in the handicap as a result. His form petered off towards the end but he had run 15 times and therefore had an incredibly hard season. I have no doubt he can win off his present mark and I think his run style is suited to Newmarket as he likes to go forward, while his best form was on quicker ground too. He's a lively outsider.

Rockymountainway was disappointing on debut, but she wasn't the first two-year-old of mine to run below par at Chelmsford last year. She has always worked like a nice filly so I very much expect her to put that performance behind her today.

Idyllic was very weak last year so we weren't expecting much on debut. She seems to have strengthened up over the winter as now she is finding everything much easier. Treat her today like it's her debut.

Surrey Noir got his act together last year and I have been wanting to get him on turf for some time. Any rain would be a plus as he will enjoy cut in the ground and then his wide draw becomes a positive.

Mohave Dancer ran well twice last season and we felt after her good 2nd at Lingfield she would benefit from a break. She has done well physically over the winter but definitely needs to take another step forward. She is an extremely laid-back filly so very hard to predict!

Sweet Carolina is a nice filly with tons of speed. I trained the dam and she was very quick too. Mine always improve for their debut but even so, I would like to see her run a good race.

Morawig is a horse I have always loved. He's exceptionally good-looking but is not straightforward and therefore has been a slow burner. Gelded after his last run, I expect him to improve as the year goes on. This is a lovely starting point.

Churchill Rose likes Kempton and seems to be in good order for this seasonal reappearance. She still looks fairly wintry so I expect her to improve for this, although she isn't the biggest so should be fairly fit.

Veer ran two okay races last year for a different yard and we bought him because we thought he would improve with age and running over further. A mile might still be on the sharp side for him tonight but he has been training well. Life will become much easier for him when stepping into handicaps.

Easy Equation has a very good course and distance record and this race has been the plan for some time. He seems in good order at home and should have a favourite's chance of getting into the winner's enclosure.

Zainabb went well last year but was over the top when she had her final run at Newmarket. Seven furlongs on the all-weather at Southwell should suit her perfectly and I would not be surprised to see a big run from her tonight.

Fitz Perfectly has been a very frustrating filly to train but she is more than capable of winning a race like this. She should love the soft ground and the mile at Thirsk is ideal. She has a good draw too which should really help.

Non-runner

Kodi Lion made a lovely debut last year but picked up a small niggle afterwards so we backed off him. He's a horse we have always liked and he showed more than enough speed on debut to drop back to six. This is the perfect starting point and as he seems pretty fit he should go well.

Twirler has had a fantastic winter but nothing went right for her last week when she was squeezed out at the start and was then set alight by one that was keen on her inside. She was ridden out hands and heels so didn't have a hard race and this looked the obvious spot for a quick return. She can bounce back this afternoon.

Tan Rapido had a setback following an impressive victory at Windsor last year. He's a horse we've always liked and is from a family that improves with age, so there was no reason to take unnecessary risks. He's ready for his seasonal debut and this looks the perfect starting point. We will be disappointed if he gets beaten.

Mesaafi ran with promise in both runs as a 2yo, beaten a similar distance in each. We gelded him in the autumn and from a decent draw this evening, we're hoping he can build on those performances with a run in the money.

Holy Fire loves Kempton and has the perfect draw today. She has been slightly below par on her last couple of starts but I was delighted with her work last week and am hopeful she is returning to form.

Twirler has had a great winter and she looks to be on the improve. This is a very competitive field but she's an uncomplicated filly that can sit absolutely anywhere which is a luxury. It's fantastic prize money for the grade and she must have a solid chance.

Bradman has his final run of the winter today at Newcastle. He has done extremely well and has been remarkably consistent. He was a shade unlucky not to win at Newcastle last week and the drop back in trip should be absolutely fine. He has had a lot of racing this year so hopefully he is okay to run once more before he has a nice holiday.

Bradman has done so well this winter and was a touch unlucky to win last time out The drop back in trip is fine and he's down a significant amount in grade too. He would be vulnerable to one that's thrown in and the market suggests the Hughes horse could be ahead of its mark.

Bradman is ultra-consistent and runs off his true mark after twice being out of the handicap. He should like Newcastle as he stays all day and will be thereabouts again.

Holy Fire was a touch disappointing last time but I wasn't convinced she put 120% in, which is why I have changed the cheekpieces to a visor. She is normally electric out of the gates and will be dangerous here if the visor has the desired effect.

Smoky Mountain has been the model of consistency this winter but takes on by far his toughest task to date. That said, he has the perfect draw and is in cracking order. He will be thereabouts again.

Twirler has been very consistent so far in her career and won nicely last time out. She is very uncomplicated and the 7f at Wolves should suit her well.  Kieran Shoemark won on her last time out, so knows her well.

Easy Equation has run well twice for my yard and I feel I am starting to learn more about him now. Newcastle should suit him and he seems well at home. He should be thereabouts again.

Bradman has had a cracking winter with a couple of wins and a few seconds. He is being forced into a higher grade with every race so things are getting harder and harder for him especially as he is 2lb out of the weights again today. Southwell suits him and Harry Davies knows him well so we remain hopeful.

Holy Fire is a model of consistency and loves Kempton. Callum knows her well and she has a nice draw. She will be thereabouts as always and surely deserves to get her head in front.

Smoky Mountain could easily have won his last four races, but has twice lost out by a nose. He remains in cracking form and the stiff 7f here should suit him ideally> I'm sure he will go very close again.

Bradman has had a cracking start to the year with two wins on the board already. This is a step up in grade and as a result, he is taking on better horses. We think there is still more to come, he has won over the course nd distance and is getting a lot of weight from the front two in the market.

Twirler ran a cracker last time out, just failing to get up against a couple of nice types. She has run very well at Newcastle in the past and seems in great order at home. The draw could have been kinder but it shouldn't be an issue in this field.

Crimson Coronet has run two decent races in defeat so far, bumping into a smart individual last time out. A few of the fillies behind her that day reoppose but I would be hopeful we can beat them again. We just have to hope there isn't a superstar among the unraced fillies that could beat us.

Quercine ran a cracker last time out at Wolves, eventually beaten by a pretty decent horse. She seems to be improving with racing and another step forward would see her go very close today. The straight track shouldn't be a problem.

Easy Equation ran a cracker at Southwell before Christmas and this has been the plan for a while. He has excellent course form and my apprentice takes a handy 7lb off his back. He will be thereabouts.

Beadman dug deep to win well at Wolves on Monday and the form of that race has already been franked as the 2nd horse has come out again, finishing 2nd on Wednesday. Dropping back in trip is possibly not ideal but he travelled very well on Monday and I don't think it will be a problem. It's a trappy race but he goes there in great form.

Smoky Mountain is very unlucky not to have won his last three and looks very much a horse on the up. We have felt for a while that a step up to a mile would suit and Southwell seems the ideal track to try it. In good form at home so very hopeful.

Bradman won impressively last time out and this race looks very similar in depth. His price reflects that and it would be very disappointing if he gets beaten today.

Way To Dubai ran unexpectedly poorly at Newcastle but they absolutely crawled and turned it into a sprint. I think he hated every yard of it. He will be much better back on a turning track and there looks to be plenty of pace on, which should suit too. He can bounce back to form.

Twirler was very disappointing at Chelmsford on her 2nd start but I think in retrospect that might have come a touch too soon and that track doesn't suit every horse. The step up to 7f should be fine and I think she will like Lingfield. Good chance.

Fitz Perfectly is the bane of my life as I can't quite believe that she hasn't managed to win a race yet. It was trainer error last time where a drop in trip and a straight track didn't suit her at all. She is back to what she likes best, a sharp mile around the bend. After this, she'll be bang out of excuses.

Appellant has raced over six furlongs all his career to date but the last couple of times he seems to have shown more speed and looks capable of dropping back to five. Chelmsford should suit him and he has taken his latest race well. He will be thereabouts again.

Clearpoint has done very well since joining the yard. He paid the price last time for chasing a highly impressive winner in a race where he probably should have finished 2nd. I think he'll be better for going around a bend and he seems in good order at home.

Crimson Coronet made a lovely debut at Kempton before Christmas and having seen the declarations I genuinely thought she would come into this race as favourite. However, the market seems to think the George Boughey/Shadwell filly is past the post. On breeding, she could be anything but my filly is in good order and should have come on for that debut. A mile at Newcastle should suit her.

Appellant should be much better suited to going around a bend as I felt he did a bit too much too early at Newcastle last time, giving himself no chance to get home. He seems in good order and my horses have started the year well, so cause for optimism.

Bradman has been an extremely frustrating horse to train but he did run well last time from 7lb out of the handicap in a much stronger race. This genuinely looks to be one of the worst races ever run in Britain and a repeat performance from last week should see him being very hard to beat. That first win looks his for the taking.

Shadowofyoursmile was drawn in the car park on debut so we had to take our medicine and drop her out and just give her a nice education. She did run on well, so I am hopeful she will put that experience to good use and improve today in a field lacking depth. The step up in trip will be no problem.

Fitz Perfectly is somehow still a maiden but has put in a string of near-misses. The drop to 7f on a stiff track is something new but she showed tons of speed last time and ran very well on this CD on debut. Her time in the winnner's enclosure will come soon!

Smoky Mountain was unlucky last time out where a slow start and then getting cut up meant he had to come from a long way back. He made up a massive amount of ground only narrowly failing to get up and was clearly the best horse in the race. He seems to be ahead of his mark and loves Wolverhampton. He has plenty in his favour.

Bradman has plenty of ability but has been liable to run into trouble in his races. This four-horse field should give him every chance and leave less room for excuses. Fingers crossed.

Way To Dubai ran an absolute screamer last time in a race that has worked out very well. This is a very different track and a step up in grade but his work has been good, I see no reason why he can't go well again.

Smoky Mountain won nicely last time out over course and distance and seems to like Wolverhampton. He is well-drawn again and appears to be open to more improvement. He should be competitive today.

Quercine ran well first time out but I'm not sure she was suited to Chelmsford. She was keen and got very tired. The filly has more than enough speed for 5f and although drawn a little wide I would expect her to take a nice step forward from her debut.

Twirler made a lovely debut at Newcastle recently and this race looked the obvious place to go next. She has been handed a plum draw in stall 1 and should improve plenty from her debut. She has a cracking chance this evening.

A Gift Of Love was bitterly unlucky not to win after a long break last time. She hit the front a long way out and was a sitting duck for a finisher. She should have improved for that run and has a favourite's chance on a track that should suit her well,

Clearpoint has done really well since moving to my yard and seems to love all-weather. Five furlongs at Southwell should suit him ideally and I'm pretty confident he hasn't done improving yet. This is a step up in grade though.

Easy Equation is new to my yard but has been training well and is ready to go. I'm not expecting to reinvent the wheel with this horse but this track suits and he's racing in the right grade. He should be competitive today.

After a number of near-misses, Appellant really deserves to get his head in front. I think Newcastle will suit him - he ran well there previously - and my yard is in good form. He can run well.

Holy Fire picked up an injury when disappointing at Ascot but she's been training well at home and is ready for this return to action. She loves Kempton and Callum knows her well so hopefully she can get back to winning ways this evening.

Way To Dubai has been brutally unlucky on both his starts for the yard but he seems in good order and shows plenty of speed, hence the drop back to 6f. A wide draw doesn't help things either but he's an uncomplicated horse so should be able to slot in somewhere without too much trouble.

Bradman ran well two starts ago before being turned over at odds-on when I think the race probably came too soon for him. I'm not convinced Wolverhampton is the perfect track either, especially at a mile, Southwell should be better and he is favourably drawn this evening. He can go well.

Wynter Wildes doesn't know how to run a bad race. She loves to race prominently and my apprentice has a fantastic record on her. She has never run at Wolverhampton before but I think the track will suit her.

Twirler is another nice 2yo that has been working well at home. Six furlongs at Newcastle is perfect and this doesn't look the strongest race on paper. She can make a nice debut.

Shadowofyoursmile is a nice filly for the future but has been handed a horror draw on debut. We will drop her in and teach her something and hope for a run with plenty of promise. Her high-class brother Grand Alliance ran well on debut at Newcastle.

Power Of Darkness is in good order at the moment and seems to enjoy the all-weather. I'm certain he is best at 7f and he always runs well at Newcastle. Hopeful.

Fitz Perfectly has been a seriously frustrating horse and despite numerous runs, I am none the wiser about her optimum trip. One thing I do know is that ten furlongs was too far last time. A sharp mile should suit her better today and my apprentice got a good tune out of her and rides again.

Scylla ran very well in a weak race on debut but has since struggled having been sick in the spring. Life will be much easier now she can run in handicaps and the step up in trip should also help. She should take a big step forward.

Smoky Mountain ran very well on all his three starts before picking up an injury in the spring. He is fit and ready to run and has performed well over this course and distance. This looks a match race with us and Prescott!

Power Of Darkness ran a cracker last time where the race didn't quite pan out as we hoped and he was forced to challenge very wide while the winner got the dream run through the pack. The race fell into the winner's hands there but he won't have it all his own way this time. We have a good draw and can go well.

Clearpoint had a nigh-on impossible task last time when drawn 12 of 12 at Kempton. He showed very good speed to get across from his draw but used up too much petrol in doing so and ended up finding the last furlong a long way home. The drop in trip should be no problem at all and the ease in grade will make things much easier. He can get back on track from his nice stall position in three.

We expected an improved performance from Bradman, first time after a gelding operation and he duly ran a cracker here last week where a wide draw meant he had to tuck in towards the back of the field. He is much better drawn this time and should have learnt plenty from that race. He can go very close this afternoon from a mark he should be more than capable of winning off.

Appellant ran a great race last time out at Kempton where the slow pace probably didn't play to his strengths. We will try to be positive today and hopefully, he can take another step forward and get that well-deserved victory.

Churchill Rose ran a cracker last time out under my apprentice so I have kept him on her today. She has run well at Kempton in the past and the trip is ideal. She is drawn a litte wide but that shouldn't be a huge issue over 12 furlongs. She should be thereabouts.

Mohave Dancer found a mile too sharp on debut but she is incredibly laid back so it was no surprise to see everything happening rather quickly for her. She will have learnt plenty from that and the run was far from without promise. Ten furlongs should be no problem and she can take a big step forward.

Power Of Darkness is in good form at the moment and did well to stay on so well at Newcastle recently having probably gone too hard early on. This sharper mile should suit and he would have a chance if able to get across from his wide draw.

Bradman was too colty to do himself justice but after three runs in maidens, he has been gelded and starts handicapping on a very low mark. His home work suggests he is better than that and I am hoping that with his mind more on the job we will see a different horse.

Idyllic is a lovely filly for next year. She's still immature physically but has done plenty of work and is ready for some racecourse experience. I'm not expecting her to win today but am hopeful of a nice debut.

Ex-German Way To Dubai was in the process of running a great race at Kempton on stable debut before getting stopped in his run up the straight. I felt that a mile would stretch him before the race and was proved correct as they went a very strong gallop. This drop to 7f should suit him well and I think he will like Wolverhampton. The draw has been kind too.

Mesaafii made a lovely debut at Kempton recently and should be much sharper for the experience. He has sufficient speed for 6f at Chelmsford but will need to break well from his decent draw. He has more than enough ability to win this.

The same cannot be said for Clearpoint half an hour after Appellant. For the second time in a row he's drawn in the car park but the race is worth good money so we will have to give it a crack. This is a stronger event than last time when he soon led from 10 and won at 50/1, but it may not be so easy from stall 12. We just have to be positive again and hope there aren't too many other trainers planning on doing the same thing.

Appellant has run very well generally to date but has not put things together quite well enough to get the win. This should be much easier dropping into handicaps at his level and the six furlongs at Kempton should suit. The draw has been kind too, so hopeful.

Power Of Darkness is in good form and has run well over course and distance. He seems to get on well with my apprentice too. He can go close again.

Fitz Perfectly has been so frustrating as she often finds a way to get beaten and look unlucky. She appeared as though she was ready for another shot at this trip last time out and I think the track will suit. My apprentice takes a very handy 7lb off her back.

Rockymountainway is a nice filly who is ready to make her debut. She isn't short of speed but I think 7f will be fine. She is still immature physically but I like her and expect a nice performance.

Wynter Wildes has been a star and deserves a crack at a race like this. She ran a belter last time in a very tough race and a step up a furlong should be fine. She can be thereabouts.

Morawig ran promisingly on debut but got everything the wrong way around, doing far too much in front and not getting home on testing ground. He's a beautiful mover so I don't think he enjoyed those conditions and I would expect him to be much more professional on a track that should suit. He can take a big step forward today.

Quercine is a nice filly that has been working well. She has lots of speed so six furlongs shouldn't be an issue and she is more than ready to debut. Like all of mine, she will improve for this first run.

We also run Scylla along with A Gift Of Love in this maiden race. She ran well on her debut last autumn and then made her return in a very hot contest recently. This is considerably weaker, over a track that will suit her better. Also a help is the very good apprentice taking 7lb off her back. 

A Gift Of Love is a newcomer to the yard and I have been delighted with her work. She looks as though she will be a decent recruit. The 12 furlongs at Newcastle should suit and I think she will go close.

Teraabb was unlucky not to win last time out where he got collared on the line. He has taken that race well and the switch to Polytrack should suit him fine. His form has worked out very well and he can go close.

Churchill Rose is a consistent filly that won nicely two starts ago. This looks a weak race and although she has better form on turf, I think she can go well here with a useful 7lb off her back.

Mohave Dancer is a nice filly who is very much ready for a run. The wide draw makes things much more difficult but she is fit and should run well.

Way To Dubai is a new horse to the yard. He cost only 5k despite being rated 94 and has some decent form in Germany. His work has been good, although he shows plenty of speed so a mile could stretch him. Today is a fact-finding mission.

Zainabb has run well so far this year but has hit the post each time. I felt she didn't get home at Haydock on testing ground over a mile so we have dropped her back to 7f today. Conditions should be perfect and she is a well-balanced filly so should handle the track.

Non-runner

I was delighted with Vadream's run at Ascot a fortnight ago on ground that would have been too quick for her. There has been plenty of rain at Ascot over the past week so the ground is going to be pretty testing, which she loves. If she repeats that last performance then she will go very close.

Willowbank has been a real head-scratcher as she works extremely well at home but has been very disappointing on the track. We have given her a bit of time to mature and her work at home has been good so I'm hopeful we might see a bit more from her today.

Shahbaz has had a frustrating year as he has threatened to win on numerous occasions but has not managed to get his head in front. Conditions today are absolutely perfect and he is well-drawn, so I am hopeful of a big run to finish off his season.

Wynter Wildes has won three times this year and always puts in 120%, while my promising 7lb claiming apprentice is unbeaten on her. She loves Newcastle but this is a very strong race and she has yet to win a Class 2 handicap. Maybe this will be the night.

Clearpoint has been handed a draw in the car park which is annoying. He was disappointing at Haydock but we think he hated the soft ground. His work on the all-weather has been good so if he can overcome his draw he should run well.

Yajooz improved from his debut to run much better at Kempton last time. I think Yarmouth's straight 7f will suit him better and although I have no idea what he will think of soft ground, my inclination is that he will enjoy it. He can take another step forward.

Fitz Perfectly never runs a bad race but still hasn't managed to get her head in front. I think Chelmsford will suit her better than Kempton and I am convinced a mile is perfect for her. She should go well.

Thunderette is a lovely filly. She's ready now for a run in what looks quite a tough starting point. I like her though and expect to see some ability. Any rain would be a plus.

Bespoke got her knickers in a twist at Lingfield on her last planned run and ended up getting withdrawn at the start. She has passed a stalls test and is ready to run. She has loads of speed and will be suited by Wolverhampton. Bespoke is a massive price but can outrun her odds if she behaves.

Hallrose ran great at Windsor last time out but found the five furlongs slightly on the sharp side. The step up to six should suit her well and Kieran Shoemark is the perfect partner for her.

It's A Hot One is a nice 2yo that's ready to make his debut. Newmarket should suit but he's a big, laid-back individual and will improve for the run.

Atrium has been very frustrating of late as he has started to miss the break badly. We have done some stalls work with him recently and that seems to have helped. He loves Ascot and can go well if he jumps out on terms.

Vadream has had a mid-season break and was meant to run in France but the ground was too quick for her. She loves Ascot and is in good order but ideally, she could do with softer going.

Cloudbreaker is a lovely filly who has had a brilliant season. She likes Newmarket and the ground should be perfect for her. Kieran Shoemark rides her well.

We run two in this and Art De Vivre definitely stays. She won impressively two races back but then I brought her back too quickly at Lingfield. Ignore that run and she has to have a big chance today.

El Jasor is a strange horse because he runs one poor race and then wins. We have always felt he was a stayer so we are hoping the step up to two miles will suit. If his normal pattern applies, it could be his turn to win again.

Scylla made a decent debut in a very poor race. She had a setback in the spring, hence we haven't seen her for a long time. She's ready for a run but will improve in the future on whatever she does today.

Morawig is a lovely colt with a bright future. A mile at Salisbury should suit him perfectly and he will love the ground. I expect him to make a  nice debut but as always with mine, he will improve for the run.

Surrey Noir has really come good recently and is full of confidence. He is well drawn again and James Doyle gets on well with him. Must have a great chance of following up the last success.

Mesaafi is a lovely colt with a bright future. He is drawn slightly wide today which will make life difficult and he is a very laid-back horse so I expect him to improve significantly for this run. Definitely one for the future.

Reflex bombed out at Brighton last time but in retrospect that was a poor choice of track for him. Newcastle is much more up his street and he seems to like all-weather surfaces. I expect a much better performance today.

Power Of Darkness won nicely at Salisbury last time and has run well at Newcastle in the past. While he has the speed for seven furlongs, he might not have things his own way as was the case last time. That said, he remains well-handicapped.

Clearpoint is a new addition to the yard but he looks like a nice prospect. He had some very good form as a 2yo and ran well on soft ground on debut this year. He has been gelded since that run which will hopefully help too on what is a fact-finding mission.

Zainabb improved to run well at Beverley last time out in a decent maiden. The 2nd there has won since off a mark of 82 and the winner was not disgraced yesterday in the Rockfel. The step up to a mile shouldn't be a problem and the softer ground should be to her liking.

Beccara Rose and Shahbaz run against each other and at home there is very little between them. Beccara Rose will love the track and will roll forward from her wide draw.

While Beccara Rose is positioned wide, Shahbaz is drawn on the inside and whereas the filly will soon be prominent, Shahbaz will play his hand slightly later. The softer the ground the better for him.

Bradman has been very colty both times he has been to the races and therefore not run as well as he can on homework.  I expect a similar colty display again but he will be gelded after this race and then I would like to think he will start to improve rapidly.

Appellant has hit the post twice so far and looks up to winning one of these. He loves soft ground so any rain is a plus. I thought he raced lazily last time so have applied a set of cheek-pieces to sharpen him up a touch.

Non-runner

Gorak lost his action last time out at Newmarket but prior to that had been running very well. He should love the six furlongs at Ayr where the ground looks perfect for him. I am using a young apprentice who has started very brightly and he takes a valuable 7lb off.

Yajooz was very, very green on debut but made eye-catching ground late on. I would be very disappointed if he were green again today and expect him to improve significantly for that run.

Wynter Wildes doesn't know how to run a bad race and is two from two with today's jockey. The ground and course are perfect for her and she can get back on track today.

Teraabb is a slow burner but has plenty of ability and should be well suited by the straight 7f today. The ground looks like it will be beautiful and I expect him to take another step forward.

Atrium hated Chepstow last time out and in hindsight, it was the wrong track to run him at. Sandown should be much more to his liking and the small field will suit. He can get back on track.

Bradman behaved appallingly at Salisbury last week so his mind was not on the job when he ran. We will change a few things pre-race that should hopefully keep the lid on him this time. If he behaves, then he should run considerably better than on debut.

El Jasor is a lovely big, staying type that I love to train and bring on slowly. Generally, he has been very consistent other than two attempts at more speed-oriented tracks which haven't suited him. He won nicely last time and the 2nd that day won a 100k race last night so the form has been boosted. Donny will suit as will the ground so he goes there with a good chance.

Reflex has been a shade unlucky on his last two starts and looks to be on a winnable mark. He has to prove he can do it on turf but I think going up to ten furlongs will suit him. Also, the quirky track should be to his liking.

Italian Magic ran better last time out where it clearly looked as if he would benefit from a step up in trip. This 12 furlongs at Wolverhampton should be ideal and my apprentice, who rides him, is going really well at present. He should be competitive off this mark.

Beccara Rose has always been a favourite of mine but she has continued to hit the post. She ran very well last time out at Sandown but didn't quite get home up the hill. A return to a mile will suit her and she has a very good draw. She can go close.

Appellant ran a cracker on debut and then I begged his owner not to run him at Ascot but he doesn't spend too much time in the country and was able to watch him run. We took our chance but the ground was far too quick. He should love Newcastle and has been working well at home. I expect him to put the Ascot performance behind him.

Bradman is an immature Australia ccolt who has done plenty of work and is ready to run. He will improve for the experience but the mile at Salisbury should be perfect and we expect him to make a respectable debut.

Power Of Darkness was unsuited by the track at Windsor where a slow start meant he was always on the back foot. Before that, he had run very well at Chepstow. He has won over this course and distance, loves quick ground and this is a poor race. He won't have a better chance to run well.

Surrey Noir ran a cracker last time from a horrible draw, making up loads of late ground from miles off the pace. He is much better drawn tonight so we can pop out and sit closer to te pace which should make life easier. He should go very well.

Fitz Perfectly ran much better at Kempton last time and she clearly likes the AW surface there. She is well drawn this evening and we plan to make plenty of use of her. I am hopeful she can take another step forward and go very close here.

Art De Vivre won impressively the other day and runs under a penalty and is therefore 2lb well in compared with her new mark. I don't think she will have a problem with Lingfield and this is the last time she will ever be able to run in this grade. She should take some beating.

Yaajooz is a nice juvenile who is ready to rock and roll. His work has been good and the 7f at Southwell should suit him ideally. He can make a nice debut.

Non-runner

Churchill Rose won nicely last time out at Yarmouth and this has been the plan ever since. The track should suit her, she is well drawn and Kieran knows her well. She shouldn't have a problem with the AW surface and can go very close again.

Zainabb made a nice debut at Newmarket in a decent race a few weeks ago. She has improved for that run and is ready to head back to the races. The 7.5 furlongs at Beverley will suit her and she has a cracking draw. She can go well.

Art De Vivre has run well on all three starts to date. She bumped into a good one last time but ran with credit. She should have no problem stepping up in trip and William Buick is flying. She goes there with a decent chance.

Wynter Wildes has a very good record at Newcastle and ran well last time at Windsor, a track that's possibly not tailor-made for her. She looks great and is in good order. She can go close.

Despite having risen significantly in the handicap, Gorak has been a star this year, A lot of his best form has been in smaller fields hence the decision to run in this Listed race today. He has plenty to find on ratings but most of the opposition are out of form and the race could throw up a shock result. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if he went close today.

Teraabb made a decent debut at Sandown on ground that would have been much too soft. The 7f around Kempton should suit him well and he too will have learnt plenty from his debut. His work at home has been good so I would expect him to go well tonight.

Surrey Noir has been a shade disappointing to date, but he has been gelded since his last run and this has been the target for a while. The 7f at Kempton should suit and I have put a set of cheek-pieces on him just to sharpen him up a touch. James Doyle knows him well. 

Gutsy Girl made a lovely debut at Ascot and I expect her to take a big step forward today. We have the Haggas filly to beat but conditions should be perfect for us and I expect her to go close.

Grand Alliance has been kept to 1m4f and gained his best win on soft ground first time out this year at Newbury in the Group 3 John Porter. He will be happy on the surface here and I think it's worth taking a chance going up to 1m7f with a Group 2 prize in the offing.

Non-runner

El Jasor never got into it at York last time out on a track that possibly didn't suit him. He should stay ten furlongs and Newbury should be perfect. I think we will get back on track today.

Marbaan ran a cracker last time out at Goodwood, beaten by two Group 1 horses. His form is as strong as anything in the race and he looks a picture. Hopefully, he can get some cover and pick them off at the finish.

Cumulonimbus is a star. He never runs a bad race and has his perfect conditions today. There is plenty of pace in the race which is not ideal for a horse that likes to go forward but he is just as happy taking a lead and doesn't have to be in front. He can win again.

Wynter Wildes is incredibly consistent and should be well suited to the sharp 12 furlongs at Windsor. She likes quick ground and Callum suits her. She can go well.

Power Of Darkness ran much better last time out in the visor and we have kept it on for today. He should have no problem with Windsor and Laura Pearson rode him very well last time. I hope he can take another step forward as he is very well handicapped.

Reflex ran very well at Wolves, showing that the penny is dropping. I think this stiff mile will suit him and it doesn't look the strongest race in the world. He should go close.

Walderstern has not been easy to train as he has his own ideas about the world and he then picked up an injury in the spring. He's ready to run now but I expect him to be very green today. He will improve significantly for the run.

Bespoke ran poorly on debut but she is better than that and Catterick is a very tough course on which to start a career.. Lingfield's sharp 5f will suit her as she has tons of speed. She can outrun her odds.

Hallrose ran very green on debut and is a slow burner. I expect her to have learnt plenty from that run and would like to see an improved performance today. Her life will get easier once she can run in handicaps.

Fitz Perfectly is nowhere near as bad as she has been showing on the racetrack. I think I ran her over too far last time and I have a feeling she is better on all-weather. I think Kempton will suit and she has a lovely draw today. She's a massive price and I expect her to outrun those odds.

Cracked Up has shown very little so far in her career but this is her first time in a handicap and life should be much easier for her than in novices. I have no idea if she will stay the trip but she doesn't have the speed for shorter. The track will suit her.

Zainab is a nice filly that's ready to make her debut. Like all of my newcomers, she will improve for the run. She's well-balanced and a good mover so should handle conditions today.

Atrium won well at Donny last time when it was great to see him get his head back in front. I think he will like Chepstow and he seems in cracking order at home. He should go close tonight with a big prize at stake.

Beccara Rose is very talented but is quite fragile hence she is still lightly raced. I'm sure she stays 10 furlongs but she gave herself no chance of getting home on her first attempt at Newbury. We won't be riding as aggressively this time around. I hope the ground doesn't dry out too much.

Shahbaz should have won one of these Racing League prizes at Yarmouth two weeks ago when he got going too late. Every time I've tried him over 10f he has looked as though it stretches him but there was no doubt he looked like he needed further, He should go well.

Power Of Darkness has struggled since moving to my yard and I am no closer to finding the key to him. Hopefully, the addition of a visor will make a positive difference.

Churchill Rose ran well in a much stronger race last time. I think this track suits her and she is versatile ground-wise. She can go well here.

Gorak has been an absolute star and I am totally convinced he has the speed for 6f. It is meant to rain heavily all morning which won't be a problem for him as he has form on heavy ground and it will bring out his stamina. I think he is a massive price.

Willowbank has been incredibly disappointing on the track. She works well at home but seems to get everything the wrong way round when she gets to the races. The ground was far too quick for her last time when 5f was plenty sharp enough too. Conditions today are perfect and she should enjoy this course. I'm hoping the hood encourages her to settle better early on.

Power Of Darkness has slipped down to a very nice mark and seems to like Newmarket. He doesn't want the ground too soft so we will keep an eye on conditions.

Italian Magic found the ground far too quick at Newbury last time so the predicted soft going should be much more to his liking. I do not know at this stage what his ideal trip is but every jockey that rides him thinks he wants further than a mile.

Teraabb is a lovely 2yo who has been working well at home. Like all of mine, I expect him to improve for the outing but he is ready to run a nice race. There is plenty of rain forecast and I have no idea what he will think of soft ground.

Marbaan ran a career-best two starts ago at Salisbury, splitting two horses that have won and finished 2nd in Group 1 sprints. He then ran no race at Ascot where the race wasn't run to suit. He has won over course and distance so we know he loves the track. He wouldn't want the ground too soft, I'll be happy with good to soft.

Art De Vivre improved significantly from her debut to post a good effort at Goodwood last time. She should have no problem with the drop back to 12 furlongs but the ground is an unknown. On pedigree, she should be fine and both jockeys felt she would improve for some cut in the ground but you never know until you try it.

Tan Rapido made a lovely debut at Newcastle when 2nd in a strong race. He has loads of pace so a sharp 5f won't be a problem at all. He's a very straightforward horse and I expect him to go close.

Wynter Wildes has a very good record at Newcastle and seems to love the all-weather. My apprentice has won on her in the past and as she has been in good order at home, she can go well.

Tamalla has improved and improved again this year and should suit Newmarket. Any cut in the ground is a positive and he will have no problems with the undulations. It's a competitive race but he has every chance.

Kodi Lion is a nice two-year-old who has been working well at home. Seven furlongs at Newcastle is ideal and he has a decent draw in the middle of the pack. He can make a nice debut.

Appellant made a lovely debut at Ayr recently when he looked like he would improve significantly for the run. The softer the better for him and a stiff 6f should suit well. It's a tough race but he has good form and can go well.

Holy Fire has rarely put a foot wrong in five starts but this will be her first-ever run on turf. Nothing at home has suggested she wouldn't be as good as she is on AW but I just wanted to avoid either extreme of ground. The drop to a stiff 5f will be no problem at all. She can go well.

Gutsy Girl is a filly we like a lot. Her work has been good at home and the 6f at Ascot should suit her perfectly. I'm hoping the ground dries out a bit as she wouldn't want it soft. Jamie has ridden her at home and knows her well.

Cumulonimbus just keeps improving and was a decent third in a very strong handicap last time out. I have a sneaky feeling he is better over ten furlongs and he has won over this course and distance. Frankie will suit him well and the rain is not an issue.

Shahbaz has to have soft ground and I am delighted the rain has come for him. I didn't feel like he was putting in 120% last time at Ayr which is why I have upgraded the cheek-pieces to a visor. A straight track suits him and he has more than enough speed for a mile.

Hallrose has had a few niggles hence she is only just making it to a racetrack now. I have been pleased with her work recently and she will love the soft ground. Five furlongs could be plenty sharp enough and I expect her to improve a lot for the run.

Reflex has been very disappointing so far but a drop to handicaps should make life easier. An extended mile around Wolves should suit, but he needs to break well. I am hoping the visor will sharpen him up.

Tan Rapido ran a cracker on debut at Newcastle, just failing to beat a horse with previous experience. He seems to have taken his race really well and we think the ground will be fine although we will check before he leaves for the races. He has a good draw and Callum Shepherd knows him well.

Atrium ran a cracker in the Royal Hunt Cup and we think he is well worth a try over shorter. The cheek-pieces seemed to sharpen him up and any rain will be a positive.

Kodi Lion is a nice 2yo who is ready to run. Like all of mine she will improve for the race but I would like to see a nice debut today.

Cloudbreaker ran a great race at Royal Ascot from an awful draw. This is a tough Listed race but conditions are perfect and she can go well.

Vadream has got her ground at a track where she has an excellent record - the softer the better. This is a Group 1 so far from a walkover but as she showed at the Guineas meeting, she is very good on her day.

Gorak has been an absolute star this year, improving from a mark of 73 to 105. He ran a cracker last time in the Buckingham Palace at Royal Ascot when drawn on the wrong side, which tells me he can still be competitive off his current mark.

El Jasor won nicely on handicap debut at Redcar recently and looks in good order for his race at York today. He needs rain, but there is plenty forecast today, so the ground should be perfect.

Holy Rocket is a nice little two-year-old colt that came from the Breeze-Up. I have done very little with him as he knew his job well when he got here. Any juice in the ground at Newbuy would be a bonus.

Grand Alliance is a very unlikely runner. We have been hoping for rain but sadly it's all missed Newmarket, We will wait to see what the ground is officially but unless it is on the soft side of good we won't be running today.

Tequilamockingbird has been a star for the yard and very nearly won again last time out. She has won over course and distance and has a good apprentice on board who takes off a valuable 7lb. She can go well.

Willowbank has been very disappointing to date but I have not given up on her and my two-year-olds were sick she ran her two races. She seems to have plenty of speed so I have no problem with five furlongs. I have always felt she might need some cut in the ground but she ran poorly on soft on debut so I'm happy to try her on this quicker surface.

Bespoke should have run months ago but she has had a couple of boring setbacks which have delayed her debut. She is now very much ready for a run and has plenty of speed for five furlongs. The draw has not been kind though.

Cracked Up doesn't look up to winning a maiden. She will become much more competitive once she gets a handicap mark after this run.

Holy Fire has a very good record on all-weather and this looks an obvious spot for her. She gas a great draw in 2 and Callum knows her well. Should go close.

Shahbaz has been waiting for soft ground which it appears he has got today. He has loads of speed so I am not worried by the drop back in trip. He seems in cracking order at home so will go close.

Appelant is a nice two-year-old Kodiac colt that has been working well at home. Six furlongs with some cut in the ground is ideal and I am hopeful of a promising debut.

Cumulonimbus has improved again this year and deserves a crack at a big race like this. He is unbeaten at Haydock and we have the best jockey at the track on board. He needs to take another step forward but we couldn't be happier with him at home.

Non-runner

Tangled In Time was incredibly disappointing recently at Newmarket but I think she hated the ground, hence we have taken her back to all-weather. A wide draw makes things tough too, but she tends to be good out of the gates, so hopefully, she can get a decent early position and run a nice race from there.

Fitz Perfectly was disappointing at Chelmsford but she blew the start and never had a chance to get in the race. That was a considerably hotter affair to this one and I like the switch to turf for her. She is in good order at home and is overpriced in my opinion.

Reflex is a slow burner who will improve with each race as he's one of those horses that will take a few runs for the penny to drop. He should like the track and conditions today, so I expect him to take another step forward, although life will become easier once he is in handicaps.

Tan Rapido has been working well at home but my 2yos have hardly set the world alight this year so I am going there more in hope than expectation. He is extremely straightforward and the stiff 5f should suit him well.

Hello Zabeel was a touch unlucky last time out getting too far back and running on when the race was over. He is drawn a touch wide again but hopefully, he can get a better break and sit slightly closer to the pace. He can definitely win if things fall right.

Non-runner

Churchill Rose has been disappointing so far but it looks like she just stays and stays. The longer distance should suit and the ground will be lovely and the track ideal. Could be her day.

Surrey Noir was unlucky not to win on second start before disappointing on quick ground at Donny. He needs it to rain today but there is some in the forecast and we will be monitoring that closely. If conditions are right he should have a good chance.

I have struggled to find the key to Power Of Darkness so far. He isn't an easy horse to train and he has lots of his own ideas. He has a good record at Newmarket and conditions should suit, He has dropped down to a very dangerous mark if he can get it right.

Wynter Wildes won nicely last time out, showing a brilliant attitude to get back up and win at Haydock. This is a tougher race today but she is the most determined of fillies and will not go down without a fight.

Grand Alliance is talented but extremely quirky and he can hang if he hits the front. He is also better going left-handed and Ascot of course is right-handed. He is in great order at home and working well and has more than enough ability to play a part today.

Tangled In Time has had two outings from my yard and has run well both times. This trip is definitely her best and I have been pleased with her homework. She can go well today.

Art De Vivre ran respectably on debut and seems to have taken a good deal from that first racecourse experience. The stretch to 14 furlongs should suit her well and she can take another nice step forward.

Non-runner

El Jasor is another that has been improving nicely of late. I think the ten furlongs around Redcar will fit well for him and he too should love the ground. He is capable of winning off his present mark.

Shahbaz has been working great at home and I'm not convinced ten furlongs doesn't stretch him. This straight mile should suit him perfectly and the ground will be beautiful.

Marbaan ran a cracker last time over a sharp 6f, taking on some decent older sprinters. The more testing 6f at Ascot will suit him better and he could be the forgotten horse in the race. Great each-way chance.

Gorak was put up 19lb for finishing 4th in a Group 3 race last time which has absolutely shattered his mark. He is however a remarkable horse who never runs a bad race. I wouldn't be in the least surprised if he ran another big one with ground and hopefully, track to suit.

Cloudbreaker is able to run 4lb well in today as her handicap mark is due to go up on Saturday. She looks a picture and is improving all the time but stall 20 of 20 makes life very tough.

Atrium hasn't fired yet this year but his work at home has been good and it's been a case of things not falling right for him so far. This race should set up perfectly for him and the rain yesterday was a big plus. He can go well on a track he loves.

Vadream has had a wonderful year already, the highlight her Palace House Stakes win on 2000 Guineas Day in soft ground. Annoyingly, all the rain forecast for Sunday missed the track but more is forecast this morning and if did go soft she would have a massive chance.

Meeting abandoned

Tequilamockingbird has had a nice break since her last run. She had been on the go for a while and was just going through the motions. Twelve furlongs at Wolves suits her well and this race looks ideal. She can go close.

Hello Zabeel ran well after a break at Windsor recently and should have come on for the run. He has gone very well around Chester over seven furlongs and this drop to six should suit even better. He can go well.

Power Of Darkness ran well at Yarmouth and after that, we thought it was worth trying him over ten furlongs as he was so relaxed through the race and hit the line well. As a strong traveller, he should have no problem going around Chester and he has a decent draw.

Italian Magic ran well on debut but has slightly disappointed since then. I'm looking forward to seeing him run on better ground and the mile at Newbury should be perfect. Stall 1 isn't ideal as he could get stuck out on the wing with no cover which isn't easy for an inexperienced horse.

Tawalla, like Holy Fire, is an unexposed improving 3yo and had he been drawn in Holy Fire's slot and the reverse for the filly, I would have been suggesting Tawalla would be hard to beat. The draw makes things much more complicated. A dead heat for 1st would be nice!

We run two in this. Holy Fire and Tawalla have similar profiles and look very unexposed and progressive 3yo's. Holy Fire has by far the better of the draw and should be able to get a nice early position which may enable her to stay just ahead of the colt, but that's not guaranteed..

Wynter Wildes ran better than her finishing position suggested at Chester last time out and this return to a more conventional track will suit much better. She is getting well handicapped and I was very pleased with her work last week. She can go close.

Al Rufaa has not had the rub of the green in his last two runs this year when both times he has been completely stopped in his run He seems to be in good order at home and I think the 7f at Goodwood will suit him well. He can bounce back to form.

Churchill Rose looks a big price to me as she was only a couple of lengths behind the 4/1 2nd favourite in this race last time out. The big question mark with her is whether the switch to turf will suit her but she has worked well on grass at home so I see no reason why it wouldn't. She stays well and carries no weight.

Reflex made a low-key debut at Newbury but that was in a big field on ground he may not have loved. This is a much easier task today and I would expect to see improvement from the debut.

Gorak is dumped in at the deep end but it's a weak race for a Group 3 to my mind and we know he likes the conditions. He has won over course and distance recently and is taking his races well. I think he will outrun his odds.

Cumulonimbus won nicely at Newmarket recently and I have had my eye on this race since then. He has won at the track and Harry knows him well. Quick ground is the slight unknown but he is a good moving horse so I don't think that will be a problem.

Victory House will win a race when things fall right for him. He got caught wide last time and that's never easy at Salisbury. The sharp 7f here should suit well and if they go a decent gallop he can pick up the pieces late on.

Tangled In Time ran well at Wolverhampton recently but this looks a stronger maiden, Things will get easier for her when she is able to run in handicaps.

Fitz Perfectly ran well when 3rd over the line first time in a handicap at Windsor but was disqualified when her jockey weighed in light. She has gone really well at Chelmsford in the past and the step up to 10f will suit her. She can run well at a big price.

Cracked Up ran okay on debut but needs to take a good step forward to be competitive in this. She should love the track and has worked well on the all-weather gallop. She might find life easier in handicaps later on.

Beccara Rose has disappointed so far this year but I think she has had excuses and today's conditions should be ideal. She ran well at the track last season and is working the best I have had her this year.

Art De Vivre is a big immature filly that will stay all day. She will need the run mentally today but conditions and track are perfect. Looking forward to her run.

Trois Vallees has run well twice since joining my yard but we are yet to find the key to her. I put a visor on her during the week and she worked really well. If it has the same effect on the track she will go very close.

Power Of Darkness has run one nice race for us since joining this year but he was beaten a long way at Newmarket last time. This is a big drop in class and he could run into a place.

Wynter Wildes ran well on her seasonal debut but was very disappointing at Ascot recently. She has run well at Chester in the past and the ground will be perfect for her. She can go well under her top apprentice.

Gorak has been a star this year, running consistently in every start. He showed himself to be in great order at Chester last time out and has won on quick ground in the past. He can go well again today.

Al Rufaa was very unlucky at Chester last time out where he would have finished much closer had he not got blocked at a crucial moment. The ground should be lovely and he seems in goof order. Hopeful.

Non-runner

Italian Magic has twice run well on desperate ground, but I think he will be happier on the easier surface at Chelmsford. This is a tough race but life should get easier for him in handicaps.

Edward is by smart young sire Havana Grey and from a speedy female family. He's a nice horse who has been working well at home. Mine always need a run first time out but he has a nice draw and should go well.

Willowbank completely fluffed her lines at Ascot having shown plenty of promise at home. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong that day but am certain she is far better than the result. She has a lovely draw and should have no problem with Kempton.

Tangled In Time is a recent recruit to the yard so today is a real fact-finding mission. Her work at home has been good and I think the 6f around Wolves is perfect. She should run a nice race.

Atrium has run okay twice his year but both times the ground has been bottomless and he doesn't like that. Today's going should be perfect and he has won over course and distance. He can go well in a strong race.

Cumulonimbus won very well at Newmarket last night so it's very unlikely he will make the trip all the way up to Hamilton. We'll see how he comes out this morning, as he clearly is in good form.

Reflex has been waiting for some decent ground as he would have hated soft going which has been pretty much everywhere of late. Newbury should really suit him and I think this trip is the right place to start. He looks well and is very fit but will improve mentally for the run.

Victory House is consistent but has failed to get his head in front. We think the drop to 6f will suit and I see no reason why he cannot transfer his all-weather form to the turf. He will be thereabouts again.

Saturn Five made a nice seasonal debut at Newbury where he found the ground too testing and the ten furlongs plenty sharp enough. The step up to 1m4f, better ground and a decent draw should all help. Hoping for a big run.

Fitz Perfectly ran really well at Chelmsford recently and should love this step up in trip. The ground is an unknown so it will be interesting to see how she copes with that. The favourite will be tough to beat but I would be pretty confident my filly is ahead of her mark and can give them something to think about.

Wynter Wildes ran really well over the sharp 10 furlongs at Chelmsford and we think this stiffer ten on soft ground will be ideal. She had a great 2022 and can go well today.

Shahbaz loves soft ground and he ran a cracker at Newmarket recently. Conditions are perfect for him today and he can go well.

Beccara Rose didn't stay 10 furlongs at Newbury recently on horrendous ground hence we have dropped her back to a mile. We have always thought a lot of this filly so it will be interesting to see what she can do in conditions we think will suit.

Tawalla ran really well recently at Catterick and I'm hopeful he can take another step forward. Six furlongs should suit and he should have no problem handling the track.

Willowbrook is a lovely 2yo with a bright future. As with all of my horses, she will improve for this first experience of racing. Soft ground shouldn't be an issue.

Al Rufaa was disappointing at Newmarket and we aren't really sure why. We have made a couple of tweaks which hopefully will bring out some improvement. I think he will suit the track and his action suggests the ground shouldn't be an issue.

Young Endless was disappointing at Wolverhampton but I think there were plenty of excuses that day. He got pushed very wide around the final bend and ran green through much of the race. He will have learnt plenty from that run and I was very keen to turn him out quickly. I expect a big improvement tonight.

Trois Vallees ran really well at Yarmouth on ground she hated. The step back up to 6f shouldn't be a problem and she seems to have come out of the last race well. My best chance of a winner on the day.

Gorak won impressively at Doncaster before twice failing to win under a penalty. The draw was against him at Redcar and then he bumped into an unexposed rival at Leicester. He has been freshened up since then and seems well. He has a good draw which is crucial around here.

El Jasor ran really well at Windsor recently and I am hopeful that he can take another decent step forward today. Ten furlongs at Chester should suit and any rain is a plus. He seems in good order at home.

It wasn't my intention to run Holy Fire so soon after last week's Kempton win but she has bounced out of her race and won't get many opportunities like this to win another. Six furlongs at Lingfield shouldn't be a problem and in a three-horse race, she should take plenty of beating.

Victory House is in good form and has run well at Southwell in the past. He has a good draw which is crucial for him and hopefully, there will be a bit of pace on as that really suits his run style.

Non-runner

Vadream is in cracking form but has to have cut in the ground. We had plenty of rain last night so it will be interesting to see the official going description this morning. If it's good to soft or softer she will go there with a huge chance over a trip I'm excited to try.

Power Of Darkness has run well on his last couple of starts and I think this return to turf and a straight track can only be a positive. He also has a very good record at Newmarket. He seems well at home and can run a big race today.

Churchill Rose ran well last time over a trip that was too sharp. This step up to 10f should suit her well and we have been really happy with her at home. Tom Marquand in the plate is a big plus too.

Holy Fire made an encouraging debut at Chelmsford and was given the winter off after that as she's a big filly and had done plenty. She is ready for this return to the races and conditions should suit her perfectly. She can take a step forward and go close.

Marbaan was brilliant last season, winning the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. He found 7f at the Curragh and Newmarket too testing, hence the drop back in trip today. Conditions at Ascot should be perfect so we will find out where we stand in a hot race.

Medrara disappointed for no apparent reason last time out so we were left scratching our heads big time! Ten furlongs at Yarmouth should suit him and any cut in the ground is a plus. My apprentice knows him well.

Italian Magic ran really well on debut at Nottingham when he showed he handles soft ground. He seems to have sharpened up for that run and I think the mile at Windsor will suit. He can give the two at the head of the market something to think about.

Cracked Up should enjoy the ten furlongs at Wetherby and is ready for her first run. As with all of Mr. Oppenheimer's fillies, she won't be knocked around on debut. Soft ground won't be a problem

Royal Razzmatazz has been a bit of a slow burner but he has improved with every start and we think the switch to turf will suit him well. The form of his last race has worked out and he seems in good order at home. He won't mind any cut in the ground.

Smoky Mountain bumped into a very good horse last time and a repeat of that performance should see him go close. He has loads of speed so the drop to 6f is no concern and his action suggests he will have no problem with soft ground.

Surrey Noir made an encouraging debut at Chelmsford and looks to have come on nicely for the experience. This looks a weaker race returning there tonight and the drop back to 6f shouldn't be a problem at all as he has plenty of speed. He must have a big chance.

Tawalla ran okay on last year's debut and seems to have done well from two to three. His work this year has been better and I am expecting to see a nice step forward. Five furlongs on soft ground will suit him well.

Young Endless has been slow to come to hand but his owners have given him the time and he looks to have done well since we last saw him on a racetrack. He is still very immature mentally so I expect him to be green, but we are pretty sure he starts life in handicaps on a workable mark.

Victory House has been incredibly frustrating but his runs recently have been better and this step up to 7f looks perfect. His best run to date has been at Wolverhampton and he has the ideal draw.

Trois Vallees is a new recruit that I am still learning about. She seems to have plenty of speed so I am hoping she won't have an issue with the drop back to 5f. The testing ground will help.

Cumulonimbus had a great end to last year and was a shade unlucky at Nottingham where chasing a ferocious pace was probably not ideal. This track should suit him and he is fit and ready to run. Hollie won on him last year so knows him well.

Aussie Mystic has progressed slowly with every start and I'm hopeful he can take another small step forward tonight. The longer trip should suit and he will have no problem with the ground.

We bought Saturn Five at the sales from the Joseph O'Brien stable so today is very much a fact-finding mission. His work has been good and he has run well on soft ground in the past. He will stay beyond 10 furlongs so that should help him on the testing ground today.

Atrium fluffed his lines in the Lincoln at Doncaster, however, we don't think he likes being crowded in his races and he got stuck in the middle of the pack that day. A smaller field and outside draw should help and he will have no problem with the ground.

Grand Alliance ran very well over this course and distance at the backend of last season. This looks hotter and he is priced accordingly. He will love the conditions and has been working well but realistically, we are hoping for a place at best.

Beccara Rose has long been the apple of my eye and I was delighted with both her runs last year. She is a very big filly and has grown into her frame over the winter so I am hopeful she will have taken a nice step forward. The move up to 10f will suit too. It's a strong maiden so she is up against it but I would be disappointed if she didn't hold her own.

Fitz Perfectly made a lovely debut at Newcastle last year before fluffing her lines in a hot race at Newmarket - the winner won the Nell Gwyn impressively at Newmarket yesterday. There were plenty of excuses for her that day so I am hopeful she can bounce back to form. My one concern is that 7f might be on the sharp side for her.

Shahbaz won nicely at Newmarket at the end of last year and looks a lovely middle-distance prospect for the year ahead. I don't want the ground to dry up too much as he loves to get his toe in. Ten furlongs is ideal for now and he always runs a good race so he is likely to be thereabouts.

Al Rafaa is a new recruit to the yard having been acquired from the Gosden stable at the autumn HIT sales. I have been happy with how he has settled into the yard. Improving one of theirs doesn't happen often but I think he will love these conditions and we have been very happy with his work at home.

Churchill Rose was heavily in season when she ran last time at Wolverhampton but unfortunately, we only discovered that after she ran. She is a much better filly than the run suggested and we hope she will prove that to be the case at a track where she has performed well in the past.

El Jasor is a nice big colt who made a fine debut over an inadequate trip at Kempton last year. Ten furlongs on soft ground will suit him well and he can take a nice step forward here.

Gorak has had a busy time of it recently but he takes his races exceptionally well. He is 5lb well in today and the race is far weaker than on Monday when he had absolutely no chance from his draw. He should take all the beating today.

Wynter Wildes had an amazing year in 2022, running 13 times and winning three. She deserved her holiday and seems to have done well for it. Ten furlongs around Chelmsford might be a touch sharp but she is in great order and can go well. She would be plenty fit enough.

Gorak was very impressive last weekend at Doncaster and he seems to have taken the race very well. The handicapper is going to put him up a fair bit for that performance so it makes sense to run him again before his new mark kicks in. Conditions should be perfect for this improving young horse.

Vadream was very impressive at Donny last weekend, however there is so much against her today. She has to cope with a six-day back-up as well as very different conditions. She has bounced out of the race though and looks a picture. If she repeats that performance she will be very hard to beat.

Tequilamockingbird was lame after her race at Newcastle last time out which explains why she ran poorly. She has an excellent record at Lingfield and the wide draw isn't a disaster as she tends to be ridden patiently. She is best off a strong pace so hopefully they go a good clip.

Power of Darkness clicked into gear last time out at Newcastle when finishing third despite not getting any cover. This has been the plan for a while and he seems in good order at home. The sharp mile should suit him.

Pirate King has been a star for the yard but it's been a while since he got his head in front. He runs off his lowest mark in a very long time and is back at his favourite track. The big field also suits him as he loves a strong gallop. Can go well.

Victory House has been a touch unlucky recently being caught wide both times. It's only a matter of time before he puts it all together and goes very close as he is well ahead of his mark. There looks to be a fair bit of pace on today which will definitely suit him.

Italian Magic is a very good-looking gelding that had a few niggles last year so was unable to run. He is ready for this race today and has a lovely draw. As with all of mine on debut he will not be knocked around but I would like to see an encouraging performance.

Gorak has been unlucky not to have won over the winter. I'm not convinced he is suited to all-weather as his run style suggests he would be happier on turf. The drop to 7f is fine and he has race fitness on his side. If he handles the ground he will go very close.

Cloudbreaker is a filly we like a huge amount. Ten furlongs on turf should suit her well but we have no idea about the going. She worked really well on soft ground recently but she needs  to prove it on the track. If she handles these conditions it will take a good one to beat her.

Medrara won nicely over course and distance last time, taking a big step forward from his previous runs. He looks a picture and as the win will have done his confidence good, he can go well again.

Atrium has been aimed at the Lincoln ever since he was balloted out of the Balmoral at Ascot in November. He won his last race over this course and distance and loves cut in the ground. A 4lb rise is very fair and while this is another big step forward he is very consistent when getting his conditions and can go close.

Vadream has been running well on AW recently but I don't think she is suited to racing around a bend, so returning to a straight track has to be a big plus. Anything like a repeat of her performances at the end of last year would see her going very close.

Victory House is possibly the most frustrating horse in my yard as he works really well at home but so far hasn't produced on the track. He shows plenty of speed on the gallops so we feel the drop back to six furlongs is worth a try.

Churchill Rose has run well twice this year but has been crying out for a step up in trip. She should see the mile out well and will hopefully stay even further in the future. She could have been drawn slightly further in but stall six is fine. I think she can take a step forward off a very fair initial mark.

Surrey Noir is a lovely big colt who was nearly ready to run last year before picking up an unjury. His work this winter has been pleasing and he definitely has a bright future. The draw is not ideal but he has been good out of the gates so hopefully he can get a nice position somewhere. James Doyle in the saddle is always a bonus.

Smoky Mountain made an encouraging debut when 4th at Southwell. He had a very wide trip that day so if anything you could upgrade the run slightly. He worked nicely last week and I think the sharp 7f is perfect. The draw looks good, too, so plenty to like about his chance.

We are very much finding our way with Power Of Darkness as he is a recent addition to our yard. It looks like this step up to a mile should suit well and I think the track also plays to his strengths. Hoping to see a better run this evening.

Aussie Mystic has been very disappointing so far and we really can't work out why. The jockey last time said his breathing was poor so we tried a tongue tie at home and it seemed to help him. If it proves to be the key then he is much better than he has shown so far, but he clearly comes with a big risk attached.

Power Of Darkness ran well at Lingfield where 7f was possibly a shade too short. That distance again around this sharp track will probably find him out too, but he needs to run twice before Good Friday AW Finals day and this is the only option I have.

Medrara has his issues but is consistent and can pick up a little race somewhere. Ten furlongs around Chelmsford should suit and this looks a poor race. Chances.

Vadream tends to get better with every run so as long as she sticks to that trend she should take another step forward today. It's a tough Listed race but 7f around Wolves should suit well and she will run her race. Possibilities.

Victory House has proven to be very frustrating as his work at home is very good but he hasn't really delivered on the track. The application of a visor and 7lb off his back should help.

I was delighted with Churchill Rose's run last time out when she proved her debut to be all wrong. She should take another step forward this evening although the suspicion is that she will be still better when stepped up in trip.

Tequilamockingbird has been so consistent all winter and deserves to get her head back in front. The conditions of this race are perfect for her and the track should suit her running style ideally. She can go well this evening.

Non-runner

Gorak has been unlucky not to win this year but looks sure to get his head in front sooner rather than later. The step up to a mile should work well as he has found 7f too sharp on the AW. Also we have a top apprentice on our side.

Hello Zabeel won nicely at Lingfield last time out and is thriving at present. Six furlongs around Chelmsford should suit him well and he can go close again. He has a favourite's chance to complete his hat-trick.

Pirate King is a lovely old horse who has come down to a winnable mark. This race is no picnic though as he is up against some improving types. He ran really well at the track earlier this winter and seems in good order. Kieran Shoemark gets the best out of him.

Quizlet ran okay on his handicap debut but I am not convinced the Wolverhampton track suited him as he ran green before the penny dropped. He shows plenty of speed at home so the shorter trip shouldn't be a problem and the cheek-pieces should sharpen him up a bit.

Smoky Mountain has been working nicely at home and looks a decent prospect. As usual wih mine first time out he will come on for the run, but he has done enough at home to make a nice debut.

Aussie Mystic ran a shocker on debut when he was colty in the preliminaries and ran green as grass thereafter. He is nowhere as bad as the run suggested and I expect a considerably better performance today. That's not to say he's going to win but I'm sure he won't be tailed off either.

Pirate King has had a hit-and-miss winter, however I have had a completely clear run since his last race whereas he had a setback before that one. I don't think I could have him any better than he is now. He loves this track and has become dangerously handicapped if back to his best.

Power Of Darkness is a newcomer to the yard and therefore this is a massive fact-finding mission. He shows loads of speed at home, so we think the drop to 7f will be fine. He is well drawn which will help too.

Vadream ran poorly last time at Lingfield two weeks ago but a lot went wrong that day when 6f was probably sharp enough. This 7f today will suit her much better and this is a far weaker field although the Rae Guest filly is no slouch. Good chance.

Gorak ran a really nice race when 2nd last time at Southwell in a conteste that has worked out pretty well. This has been the plan since, and I think 7f furlongs around Chelmsford will suit. He can go close.

Churchill Rose was very disappointing on debut, however she had been showing more at home beforehand. She is bred to stay well and the seven furlongs will be plenty sharp enough. Probably one for handicaps over further in time.

Tequilamockingbird has run a couple of cracking races in stronger company than this recently. I think the 12 furlongs around Wolverhampton will suit her well and the wide draw is no problem as we will be riding her patiently anyway.

Cloudbreaker is a lovely filly who came back lame after winning at Newmarket last July and as a consequence has not run since. The step up to nine furlongs should suit her well but it won't be easy conceding 7lb to some potentially talented fillies.

Quizlet had three runs over what we hope will prove to have been a trip short of his best last year. He has had a little break and is now ready to go again. If he stays this far then he has a cracking chance, although the favourite was impressive the other day at Newcastle.

Vadream finished off last year really well and has had a little break since then. She is ready to go now and I think she will like this track. She is nicely in at the weights too.

Via Serendipity has been bitterly unlucky not to have won this winter. He has a great record at the track and he should have no problem with the mile. The stronger the pace the better. Each-way chance.

Medrara has been really disappointing so I am slightly clutching at straws by stepping him up half a mile in trip. He has run well at this track in the past and his pedigree suggests there is hope of his staying this far. However, he has a lot of questions to answer right now.

Colombidea has had a fantastic winter. She was drawn in the car park in France in a Listed race over ten furlongs where we decided to ride her aggressively and she didn't get home. Before that she had looked very progressive. This is a big drop in grade and we are hopeful she can bounce back at a track where she has won before.

Seasett has been very inconsistent since returning after a break in the middle of last year, although his best recent performance came over course and distance in November. He seems in good order at home and is off a mark he can definitely win from. I would not be surprised to see him bounce back today.

Royal Razzmatazz got everything the wrong way round at Southwell last time where he ended up in front which is the last place I wanted to be. We will ride him slightly more conservatively this time and I would expect a much better run.

Medrara has been really disappointing since joining my yard. I have no idea what his perfect distance is so we are stepping him right up in trip today. He doesn't look useless at home and should be better than his handicap mark but he has a lot to prove right now.

Tequilamockingbird loves Lingfield and she would have finished closer to the favourite last time there had they gone a decent gallop. She needs to take another step forward but she's very reliable and I'm sure she'll run another big race.

Purple Ribbon is a very good filly but she will need to be, carrying top-weight in a decent handicap. She is in cracking form at home and the drop back to ten furlongs shouldn't be a problem.

Gorak was disappointing at Wolverhampton the other day when a well-backed favourite but he had been showing plenty of speed at home and I did tell the owners the trip was a concern. He travelled well but found little off the bridle and I think the drop back in trip will suit. He is by a sprinter so there is speed in the pedigree and the first-time cheek-pieces should sharpen him up too.

Victory House has been a bit frustrating to date but I should never have run him over ten furlongs last time out when he clearly didn't stay at Wolverhampton the time before. The drop back to a mile should suit and he worked well last week. I also think he will like the small field. He should go well.

Lady Ursula was disappointing last time out and has a few questions to answer. She is not short of speed so the drop to 5f looks interesting at a track where she has run well in the past.

Via Serendipity is in cracking form and comes into this race on the back of three very unlucky efforts. At his best he can go close today but he has never run at Newcastle and a lot of his best efforts have been on tighter turning tracks. That said, this place should suit his run style.

Pirate King heads back to his beloved Lingfield and seems in good order. They went very slowly at Wolverhampton last time out which didn't suit him one bit. Rob Hornby should suit him well and he is off a competitive mark. Hopeful.

Gorak is new to the yard so we are still trying to find out about him. His work has been good at home and I am happy he can be competitive off his current mark. My only question is the trip as I have a feeling I will be bringing him back in distance in time. That said, Wolverhampton is the sharpest track in the country and he has a cracking draw so he should get home today.

Royal Razzmatazz gave himself no chance to win on debut over this CD when falling out of the stalls. He did remarkably well to finish where he did and ran a cracker in sixth. He is well drawn today and can put that experience to good use and run a better race.

Chorlton Lane could not have been more impressive om debut confirming our opinion he is a smart horse. He beat absolutely nothing that day but couldn't have done it any more easily. Today is a tougher test as the Hughes horse is no slouch but we are hopeful our horse will be too good.

Lady Ursula surprised me last time as she ran a cracker in the first time visor. Interestingly, her work at home seems to have improved since that run too and I think this track will suit her. If the visor works again then she can go close.

Victory House ran great last time and is improving with every run. We have to take on the horse that beat us last time at Wolverhampton but my fella is improving rapidly and from a lovely draw, can go very close again.

Slowly but surely, Fai Fai is getting closer to winning a race. He seems to be settling much better now hence we feel the step back to 6f will suit. He also drops another grade which should make things easier. He is well dfrawn too so there is plenty to be positive about.

Via Serendipity ran a cracker at Lingfield last time out and the form has been franked nicely since. The 9.5 furlongs around Wolverhampton will suit him well as does a small field. He can go very close again.

Tequilamockingbird is unbeaten over course and distance and loves to come off a strong pace which she should get today, She seems in good order and is very easy to keep fit so the race delay will not have done her any harm. This is slightly tougher than the original field but she should still go well.

Victory House has progressed with every run and I will be disappointed if he doesn't take another step forward today. The trip and track should suit and we have a very good jockey on board. Hopeful each-way.

Somehow Holy Fire has managed to get herself withdrawn twice before races recently. She is the quietest horse in the yard at home so the antics at the races have been very out of character and I don't expect to see them tonight. She has been working well at home and I expect a nice debut if everything goes to plan before the race. 

Scylla is a big, backward filly we expect to do better as a 3yo. She's ready for a run and I think she'll go well.

Tequilamockingbird has won three times this year, twice over course and distance. She is only 1lb higher than for her victory last time out and she seems in cracking form at home. This is another step up in class but she should be suited to the conditions of the race better than anything else.

Medrara was very disappointing upped in trip at Lingfield last time and found next to nothing off the bridle. His best run to date was over this course and distance so we are hoping returning to it will bring some improvement.

Fai Fai is dropping down to a mark he can be competitive off now. He ran much better at Chelmsford last time and I think the drop to 5f will suit. He should take another step forward now.

Lady Ursula regressed last time and I didn't like the way she raced one bit. Hence we have reached for the visor very early. She has a fair bit to prove at the moment in my opinion.

El Jasor is a big, laid-back individual. He's a good-looking horse and will be a better 3yo, however he is ready for a run now. The mile at Kempton will suit him well but his biggest weapon is his attitude as he tries his heart out. I expect him to make a nice debut.

Tawalla picked up an injury in the summer otherwise we would have seen him much earlier than this. He has done plenty of work and knows his job but as always with mine he will improve for the run.

Colombidea finds herself in a weak race but she has to run 6lb wrong as she carries a penalty for last week's win while her mark was unchanged yesterday. She has run well previously at the track and the step back up to a mile will help her. She can go well despite the big weight.

Holy Fire is a nice filly who worked well with my runner yesterday that made eye-catching late headway at Southwell. Obviously this is her first day at school so we expect plenty of improvement to come from today's debut.

Vanity Affair makes his debut over hurdles today. He loves cut in the ground and stays 12f on the flat so this should be a good starting point. He has schooled well at home.

Royal Razzmatazz looks to be a nice 2yo who is ready for a run. Like all of mine he will improve for his debut but a good draw helps his chances of a decent performance today.

Pirate King ran a great race last time out after a long break. He should like this track although the only time he has raced here before he disappointed. He had been on the go for a long time then, though, and I think he was in need of a break. He seems in great form at home and we have a seriously good jockey on board. Hopeful.

Seasett ran much better last time out and I think the all-weather will really suit him and I also believe Chelmsford will work for him too. A good draw was key as he could be keen on his first time over 10 furlongs but it gives him every chance to settle. With my horses flying at present, he could go well.

Purple Ribbon is talented but extremely fragile. She got too far behind last time when running on well from the back of the field. This is a massive step up in grade for her but I don't think she's far off stakes class so it's worth a shot. She will love the track.

Via Serendipity was incredibly unlucky last time out when travelling much the best before getting stopped badly in his run. With a clear run that day he would have been in the first three and his price would have been a fraction of what it is. Ten furlongs around Lingfield suits and he can run a decent race.

Tequilamockingbird has had a good year winning twice. I think she is best over 10 furlongs off a decent pace and her best performance this year was over course and distance.Last time out they went far too steady for her and she couldn't get into the race from out the back. She is more than capable of winning off her current mark and can go well.

Colombidea bumped into a useful horse last time out, but there was plenty to like about her performance as she settled much better and clearly the penny is dropping. This looks like a match race on paper between us and the third horse home last time. One For The Frog was odds-on then, but he has looked a difficult ride on both his starts and the wide draw may not be ideal.

Iconique ran very well in a better race at Chelmsford recently. I think this track will really suit her and Hayley Turner gets on very well with her. She has a lovely draw so should be able to sit closer to the pace this time. Good each-way chance.

Lasting Legacy seems to enjoy the all-weather much more than turf hence we have returned to that surface in a bid to get things back on track. Ten furlongs around Lingfield is perfect and she has a great draw. Each-way chance.

Medrara qualified for a handicap mark after his last start and we think they have been very fair in giving him 65. The step up in trip should suit and he  has a decent draw too.

Seasett was very disappointing last time out at Haydock in conditions he should have loved. We think all-weather will suit hom and I like the configuration of the track for him today. Cheek-pieces should help too. He has a few questions to answer but I am hopeful he can bounce back today.

Non-runner

Inchbae has a stayer's pedigree and after running in two one-mile handicaps, I'm hopeful she can show improvement stepping up to 1m2f. Each-way chances.

Dorothee won her maiden at Yarmouth and was then off for four months before running unplaced in her first handicap at Brighton. With that outing behind her, she could challenge for a place.

Lady Ursula was drawn on the wing last time at Yarmouth and never got any cover. She ran well under the circumstances and with a much better draw today she can improve again.

Lady Primrose ran well on debut at Yarmouth but I expect her to have improved significantly for that run. She looks a picture and this 6f at Newcastle will suit. Hopeful.

Pirate King has had a good holiday and has been doing some dressage to freshen him up and getting him to use himself properly. As a result I have never seen him in such good nick physically and am looking forward to this winter with him. He likes going left-handed and I am hopeful of a decent performance today.

Non-runner

Fai Fai has been a real project, as when he arrived in my yard he was a proper handful, but we gradually sorted him out. Six furlongs around Chelmsford should suit him and he has been gelded since his last run. I am hoping for a big improvement on that effort tonight.

Colombidea found a mile on heavy ground too far last time out. The return to seven furlongs should suit her tonight and we think she will handle the track. She should go close.

Beccara Rose made a lovely debut at Doncaster on hock-deep ground. She is a filly we like a huge amount but she is a big girl and is only going to improve with age. She is well drawn and should go well around Kempton, so I'm hoping for a big run tonight

Iconique ran very well over this track last time, just doing a little too much early on. This slightly shorter trip should suit her well and Hayley knows her like the back of her hand. Big chance.

Via Serendipity has always been better on all-weather than turf. This track should suit him and he seems in great form at home. I would not be surprised if he were to run a big race tonight.

Quizlet has run okay in maidens but realistically his life will become more interesting when he can run in handicaps. This third run should qualify him for that. 

Holy Fire is a nice big filly who has taken a bit of time to come to hand. She is finally ready to make her debut and I think we have found a nice opportunity. Callum has ridden her at home so knows her well. She will improve for the run.

Victory House has improved with each run this year and earned a reprieve from the Horses In Training sales last month. He has definitely improved for being gelded and this looks like a decent starting point in handicaps. I'm expecting a nice performance today.

Wynter Wildes has had a wonderful year running consistently all season. I'm not sure she quite saw out the 12 furlongs last time out so we drop back to a stiff ten. She will love the ground but this is obviously a big step up in grade.

Virgo has been a shade unlucky on his last two starts and as a result has dropped to a very handy mark. We think he will like the soft ground but his jockey is very inexperienced, so we have to hope he has learnt from his last couple of rides.

Tequilamockingbird has had a great year winning twice and rarely running a bad race all year. Last time out she landed in a very hot race that will work out well (2nd has already won), and I am not convinced we quite saw the trip out. Smaller field over a course and distance she has won over should suit her perfectly. She can go close again

Shahbaz has had a great year but should have won a race. Conditions should suit him perfectly and I think he will handle the track. He seems in great order at home.

Medrara was bought cheaply out of Roger Varians yard and we have taken our time with him. He is due a handicap mark after the race today so life will become easier then. We like him but he is a bit of a project

Quizlet ran ok on debut at Newcastle and hopefully he has learnt from that run and improved a bit. We think he will like the soft ground and I don’t have a problem with the track for him. His future might lie in handicaps though

Colombidea has run well twice for the yard and takes a significant drop in grade today. We think she will like the track and ground and hope that she is better than her current mark. Callum Shepherd should suit her well

Star Zinc also loves soft ground. Donny should suit him and Callum has ridden him at home. He has more than enough ability to win a race of this nature.

Vanity Affair cannot have the ground soft enough. The track will really suit him and the drop to ten furlongs should work well. We will ride him positively and his low weight should be a big plus in those circumstances. He is out of the handicap but with so much in his favour that wouldn't worry me too much.

Grand Alliance has had a very good year but is extremely quirky. He has been gelded since his last run which must be a positive. This will also be the first time he has run on ground softer than good and we think he will love it. James Doyle knows him well which is further encouragement for his chance today.

Fresh Hope has had a fantastic year and we are hoping to finish it on a good note at Newbury today. The track should suit her and we think she has been crying out for some cut in the ground all year.

Is a frustrating filly as you never know what you are going to get at the races. Conditions are perfect today but it completely depends on her mood!

is a filly we like a lot but she is a big girl and has taken her time to come to hand. They have had a lot of rain at Donny so it will be testing conditions but we think she would like a bit of cut and she has the physique to get through it.

Hello Zabeel has run two cracking races for the yard and we have had this race in mind for him for a while as we think the trip and track will suit. He seems in great order at home and should go close.

Fitz perfectly made a lovely debut at Newcastle last month and this looked like the logical next place to run her. She seems to have taken her run well and should have improved significantly for the experience. We think the track and ground will suit her.

Lady Ursula seems to have taken a big step forward from her debut. This track will suit her well but the draw has not been kind to me as both of my runners are drawn on the end.

Quizlet makes his debut at Newcastle where I love introducing horses. His work has been good without being spectacular so I am expecting a nice run today.

Vadream has had nothing go her way this year and I think she was given a very poor ride last time out at Ascot where the jockey went far too soon. She loves the track and soft ground and I am absolutely certain she retains all her ability. Hollie Doyle has a great record in the race and should suit her well.

Seasett has to have soft ground to be at his best and sadly that has been in short supply this year. Today however he finally gets his conditions on a track he has run very well at in the past. He goes there today with a huge chance

We took a punt with the weather and hoped for rain at Brighton and it looks like our wishes have come true as they had 21mm of rain over night. Trip should be perfect and Harry knows her well.

Cumulonimbus has improved out of sight for a change in tactics and looked very impressive last time out. We think this track will suit and the ground is perfect. It’s a tough race today but he is progressing rapidly right now

Atomise has had such a frustrating season as she deserves to have won a race: I think Newcastle will suit her and a stiff straight 6 furlongs is right up her street. The quicker they go the better for us today

Chiefofchiefs drops in grade significantly for the first time in years today in the hope he can get the win he so richly deserves. Conditions should be spot on and he seems in great order.

Travesuras won over course and distance last time out but tonight he has a tougher draw. That said he is still highly progressive and there should be plenty more to come from him.

Marbaan was very disappointing in Ireland but it must have been the ground as the form of his race at Goodwood has worked out very well. If it was the ground then he is a massive price as conditions should be perfect.

Iconique has run consistently all year. I think the 14 furlongs at Chelmsford will suit although the draw hasn’t been kind. Harry Davies takes a very useful 3lbs off

Shabhaz has been a bit unlucky not to win yet and we think he will appreciate this step up in trip. I also like the fact he is going around a bend too. Jamie Spencer is the perfect jockey and the ground should be beautiful. Plenty in his favour today

Ran a fine second here at the track last time out - staying on well over the 1m3f trip. The extra furlong is fine and is only a pound higher this time. We are also helping by booking Harry Davies to claim 3lbs, so is actually in here 2lbs lower than last time. Should go well and we expect her to not be far away.

has been crying out for a step up to a mile for a while but his head has prevented him from doing that. He was much more settled last time out and so I think it’s time to give it a go. The ground should be ideal and he seems well at home. Harry Davies takes a valuable 3lbs off his back

Wynter Wildes is one of the toughest horses I have trained. She thrives on racing  and never runs a bad race. Conditions should suit her perfectly and I see no rreason why she shouldn't act on the track. Very unlucky last time, so clearly on a decent mark, she will have her chance once more.

We are shooting for the stars with Colombidea and she will also be happy on the rain-softened surface. She is far from useless but this is a very tough assignment. On the prevailing ground she has an each-way squeak.

Vadream has had an extremely frustrating year and is clearly at her best when the ground is soft. Overnight rain has made it good to soft, soft in places and that should be fine. I think she has a great chance.

Virgo was unlucky at Redcar when getting trapped on the rail and having to switch very wide. I’m not sure if the drop back to 7 will suit but the track definitely will. He is well handicapped but his jockey is very inexperienced and very much still learning the ropes

Chorlton lane is a very nice horse that has been working well at home. On ability he would be going close today but my 2yr olds have been needing the run badly this year and I would back him with caution.

Similar comments apply to Fitz perfectly. She looks like a lovely filly and has plenty of ability but I haven’t been happy with the performances of several of my 2yr olds recently so it’s very hard to be too bullish.

Churchill Rose was a breeze-up filly so she should know the job relatively well. This is the perfect starting point and she should run a decent race on debut.

Hello Zabeel ran a cracker at Newmarket recently when it looked like this step up in trip would suit. He does not want soft ground so we are hoping it dries out as much as possible.

Vanity Affair wants the ground as soft as possible and we thought it was testing enough there yesterday. Harry Davies is a top young jockey and he takes a valuable 3lb off. This track should suit.

Injazati didn't get home over further last time so this drop in trip should suit. Hopefully the ground doesn't dry out too much and the track should suit him. Very hopeful.

Nice winner at Yarmouth last time out - breaking his duck at the sixth try. We've alwasy thought the horse has some ability and that showed last time. Up 6lbs for that with the penalty but had a fair bit up his sleeve we feel and actually eased a tad in grade here too. Apprentice race but Mark Winn booked to ride and he's experienced enough with 19 winners already. Ground is fine and expected to go well again - hopefully can follow-up.

Nice filly, but first time on the track today so will learn a lot. Also wears the headgear today to help her keep her kind on the job, but taking on several that have already run so just be delighted with a fair run and go from there for next term.

Is a nice filly but has landed in a very hot race. She has a great draw but it’s her first run in a while so she wont be given a hard time if things aren’t happening today

Won this race last year and this has been the plan for a while. He has a great draw and the ground is perfect. Race wasn’t run to suit him last time out.

Star Zinc has been waiting for cut and finally gets some today. This track should suit him as will a big field as the stronger the pace the better. He can go well.

Vadream was back to form beaten a head last time at Newmarket. The race has worked out very well and I think this track will suit her. She looks to have a decent draw. 

Chiefofchiefs is an absolute star and he was a bit unlucky at Ascot in both the Victoria Cup and Buckingham Palace. He ran flat last time so was given a freshen up for three weeks in a paddock. He has come back looking a picture and is ready to go in a race that should suit him perfectly.

Strength 'n Honour ran disappointingly last time but I am not convinced he got home. Cheek-pieces along with the drop in trip will help.

Hello Zabeel is a new recruit to the yard. We think the drop in trip will suit and I like this track for him. He loves decent ground and he should get that here today. Still learning about him but he looks nice.

Seasett was unsuited by Epsom but has had a nice break since then. He has a lovely draw today and the ground should be absolutely fine although the softer the better for him. I think he will love the track.

In good order despite being a beaten favourite last time out at Windsor. Back on the AW will suit and we've booked Harry Davies to help by taking off 3lbs this time. Well drawn in 1 too and in what doesn't look a great race will have a leading chance.

Another with a fair chance of getting involved - having won here last time out at the track. Got home by just a neck that day and up 3lbs for that here but is a horse that only does enough and we feel she had more in the tank last time. Should go well again and another Hayley rides.

Another of ours running at the Racing League card with a consistent profile. Came back from a 2 month break to run a fair second at Kempton last time out and has improved for that run. CD winner here at Newcastle too and Hayley rides this one too. Each-way claims.

One of our better chances on the day - consistent sort and won well here at Newcastle last time out in another Racing League contest so we are back for more. Up 4lbs for that win so more on her plate but has recovered well from the 3 weeks off and Hayley back to ride (knows the horse well). Tough and competitive race, but we head here with every chance and looks to have a solid e/w chance.

Ran better at Southwell last time out when dropped back to a mile, but still only had 4 runs and work in progress. Back on the grass today and we feel there is more to come, but back up in grade so really overall just be happy with an improved run.

Came to us in the summer from the Andre Fabre yard in France. First run came back in June at the Royal Meeting at Ascot and was slowly away that day and lost all chance. Had time off since for us to get to know the horse and the visor is on today too. Into calmer waters and the step up to 6f will help, so better expected but we'll find out more here today.

CD winner that hasn't been beaten far the last twice here. Down another 2lbs here and only 2lbs higher than last winning mark. Any rain would help and top jockey booked to ride (Andrea Atzeni). Would have e/w claims.

Well-bred colt but is having his debut run today so very much first day at school. Will learn a lot and nice to get going with him over this mile, but hoping he'll get a bit further in time too.

Atomise should have won a race this year but everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong. Last time out she was drawn on the wing and got no cover. She is well drawn today, the stiff six should be perfect  and the easier ground is ideal. She should go close

Katyusha is the most frustrating filly to train. She is always last off the bridle and looks like winning but fails to find anything. Hopefully the drop back to 6 furlongs will suit as she is not short of speed

Needed the run back last time after 3 months off. That was also his first from being gelded so we've given him time to get over that too. Hollie a plus in the saddle and back on the grass will help. No shock to see a step forward here with the handicapper dropping him a few pounds too. Fair e/w chance.

8 race maiden but has shjown ability in and around this level. Back on the grass here after running third on the AW at Wolves last time and off the same mark. Capable rider that claims 7lbs but apprentice race and so probably not one to get too involved in. Our horse is well though and we think there is more to come on the grass with this only his thirdd run on it. Each-way.

Mr Curiosity had a setback in the spring and then has had to wait for soft ground. Finally it's come at a track that should suit him really well. He will definitely come on for the run but he has his perfect conditions.

Atrium is another horse that has done us proud this year. He will love the soft ground and Doncaster will suit him perfectly. We have the right jockey on board.

Marbaan has been a star all year, winning the Group 2 Vintage Stakes last time at Goodwood. We think the track will suit him and any further rain will be a positive. Aesop's Fables is very highly regarded and will be tough to beat but we could be second.

Came to us from France, where he had 4 runs. Debut for us last time at Ascot at the Royal Meeting so highly-tried there. We've given him plenty of time to get over that (3 months) and the ease in grade and step up to 6f will help. Work in progress still - hopeful of better, but just be happy with an improved run.

5 race maiden but took a step forward the last day at Haydock on first run back from being gelded. Only beaten a neck that day and it also came off a 3 month break. Not the best draw in 12 to overcome here but the low weight helps and we feel it won't be long before he's getting off the mark. Each-way.

Another recent winner for us - winning at Kempton last month. Up 4lbs for that and is 2-from-2 on the AW so hopeful her first run here will be fine. Competitive but has done well over the last 4 weeks and we come here with place chances. Hayley rides.

Neck winner at Wolves the last day - but showed a good attitude that day. Up only 2lbs here so not without a squeak, but does look a harder race. The drop back to 1m3f is fine though and no reason why the track won't suit (first run here). Each-way.

I ran Shabhaz at the wrong track last time out and he just got done for some toe before staying on when the race was all over. This will be much more up his street and he can go well at a track that should suit him perfectly

Has been incredibly disappointing as he works well at home but has shown absolutely nothing on the track. The visor needs to bring out some serious improvement.

Via Serendipity had a nice win at Sandown in June but has struggled, albeit in decent company, in three runs since. He has never raced as far as 1m2f. If he stays and is in the same form as at Sandown, he would surely go very close. Each-way chance.

Travesarus travelled like a winner last time before finishing tamely into third over this course and distance where he had won his previous race. The ground was very quick last time and he didn't let himself down on it. The surface should be fine today.

Injazati has been off for a while but is ready to rock and roll. The ground is perfect for him and I think the track will suit. He should be thereabouts.

Vadream has not reached the heights she did in 2021 but all her best form was on soft ground and she gets to run on it for the first time this year. Her work is as good as ever and I am hopeful of a big run.

Fai Fai hated the ground at Ascot and we have been waiting for the rain for him ever since. The track should suit and the visor has had a positive effect at home.

Victory House fluffed his lines on debut but is much better than he showed that day. He should enjoy the ground and has improved for the first run. He can put it behind him here.

Madame Peltier has been really disappointing this year as she has been much too keen in her races, failing to get home. The drop to seven furlongs should suit and the ground will be perfect. She has a bit to prove but she has the ability to do it.

Fresh Hope is talented but can be frustrating to support as she gets herself into trouble. Seven furlongs at Newcastle is perfect for her and so is her draw. She has the ability to win with her eyes closed!

Wynter Wildes has been a remarkable horse this year running consistently and often. She ran a career-best last time out on ground that was too quick and just three days after her previous run. This has been been the aim ever since and she should love the stiff track.

Strength 'n Honour ran three decent races before being gelded and given some time off. He likes a bit of cut in the ground and the step up to six furlongs should work well. He can go close.

Iconique looked the likely winner a furlong out last time here over 1m6f but didn't stay. She loves Yarmouth and the fast ground and looks a big price in a very open handicap.

Atrium ran very well off a slow pace last time in a race that looks hot. He should love Newbury and the softer ground will definitely suit. He is bouncing

Bumped into a very well handicapped horse last time but beat the rest fair and square. The ground should be perfect and she seems in good order at home. The track will suit well.

Ran ok off a long break at Newcastle recently, but has been showing more speed at home and I think this drop back in trip will suit him. He is well drawn too so we can be positive. I’m hopeful of a decent run.

Is very talented but extremely quirky. He absolutely hated Goodwood last time out but that wouldn’t be unusual. He will enjoy this track much more and all of his best runs have come in small fields. I would have loved a bit more rain but it was very quick at Ascot when he should have won a Group 2.

Has been very consistent but not won as many as I thought she would. Last time she looked like she would have no problem getting further so we have decided to give 12 furlongs a crack. She likes a small field and Wolves will suit well.

Has run very well in decent races on both starts, at was probably racing on the worst part of the track at Newcastle. I think he will be better suited to going around a bend and seems in great order so he should go well

Inchbae has been trained appallingly to date. Far too green on debut and then raced over too long a distance since then. This is much more up her street and I'm convinced she is better than a 57 horse.

Is a talented filly but has been extremely fragile. An injury in the spring meant her seasonal debut has been delayed but she has been ready to run for a while now so comes into this race fit enough. Draw hasn’t been kind so we will have to hope there is some pace on up front.

Won nicely on handicap debut before running a very strange race at Newbury where she was the first off the bridle before staying on nicely all the way to the line. I just wonder if she might be better on the all weather hence the return to poly track. She seems in good order at home

Won cosily at Windsor last time out and with conditions identical to last time, it seemed sensible to bring him back to the same track. The opposition looks very similar and he goes there with a decent chance.

Ran well at Salisbury last time out but the ground was like a road that day and the jockey felt she didn’t let herself down on it. We have always felt this step up in trip would suit and she should enjoy the all weather surface at Kempton

Young Endless has run to a very low level so far but definitely improved last time. He is very laid backl and therefore a notably slow learner so hopefully he can take another big step forward today.

Star Zinc didn't run too badly in his first handicap in May but we decided to geld him. He is talented but not straight-forward and needs cut which he should get today. He can go well if settling early.

Via Serendipity is a funny horse and we've only just found out which tracks he likes and which tracks he doesn't. We made the mistake of running him at York last time but we've had this race in mind for some time as he likes going right-handed and loves the Round track at Ascot. He can go well.

Running consistently of late and backed up again last time with a good third at Chester on Sunday. Same mark here but is up in grade so we get in here with just 8-4 to carry. Hayley rides this one for us too and another decent e/w chance on the cards.

Won her last two and in the middle of those successes was a fair 6th in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot. Up just 2lbs for the last of those wins and back to Doncaster where she won 3 runs back. 7f trip is fine and had a nice 3 weeks to get over that last run. Hayley takes over in the saddle and has ridden the horse before. Should go well again.

Has been working very well at home and looks a picture. He is ready for this step up in trip and should love the track. Hopefully he can go well this evening.

Ran a typical race for a horse that had been off the track for a very long time when seen at Yarmouth 6 weeks ago. She was too keen and gassy and fell in a heap. Hopefully that run will have knocked the fresheness out of her. Ideallly I would like to see some more rain (it’s forecast to hit the track a couple of hours before her race).

After winning by a wide margin at Hamilton three runs back, Wynter Wildes took a big hike in his rating but still went very close both at Nottingham and then on this track and trip. Now 15lb higher than for the win, he is one of only two three-year-olds in a strong line-up. We will be delighted if he gets in the frame, but as he is still improving with his racing, a win cannot be ruled out.

Has regressed since an eyecatching debut. He has been gelded and stepped up in trip, both of which will help. He should like this track much more than Lingfield. He has a bit to prove but the ability is there.

Ran a shocker on debut but he is considerably better than that. He won’t be winning today but I expect a much better performance than last time. The track should suit fine and I think he will like the all weather

Is a very talented horse but has his own ideas about the game. He was very sore through his back after Ascot, which might have had something to do with the way he ran. He looks a picture and is working as well as he ever has worked. The inside draw might be a big plus today if he can get in amongst them.

Won her only race at Yarmouth last year. She should appreciate the step up in trip and all of her best runs have come on a sounder surface. I have no idea why she ran so badly last time out which is a concern so hopefully she just had an off day.

Is an exciting prospect who has won 2 of his first 3 races. This is a big step up in grade but he beat a decent horse giving it a lot of weight last time out and I think that run has been underestimated. He should love the track and ground.

Has taken an age to come to hand this year but finally managed to run a half decent race last time out. He should like the track and I have no reason to think he wouldn’t go on the ground.

Has improved with every run this year and finally gets her conditions today. She will love the track and ground and should go well with a top apprentice on top

Disappointed last time out and we have no idea why. Before that she had run very well at Salisbury. She seems in good form at home, will love the ground, and a small field suits

Atrium showed a liking for this straight mile in the spring with a fluent victory. Unplaced in the Britannia when a slow start didn't help, he was back to form with a close third over the Round mile here last time and Jamie Spencer could be the man to get him back in the winner's circle this afternoon. Great chance for a very reliable handicapper.

We have high hopes of the beautifully-bred Victory House, a son of Dubawi we picked up from the Shadwell dispersal in February. He can run well today but there will be more to come we think further down the line.

Chiefofchiefs ran a blinder when a one-length fourth in the Buckingham Palace Handicap after starting very slowly. If he can get away on terms today he would have a great chance of improving on his fourth in this race 12 months ago.

Shahbaz ran a lovely race when a 33/1 shot on debut at Yarmouth, staying on nicely at the finish. He will know more about it today and while it is no penalty kick, we have to be very hopeful.

Virgo was a very good second around here in December but unfortunately burst at Lingfield the following month. We have given him plenty of time to get over that and hopefully he will be primed to run a big race in this open-looking contest.

Ran well on debut despite a poor draw on the flank with no cover. She seems to have improved for that race and is ready to take a step forward this evening. She should like the ground and will have no problems with the track.

Fresh hope ran brilliantly at royal ascot when cruising through the race only the find that she was on the wrong side of the track. She has a lot of speed so I am keen to explore the drop to 7 furlongs which I think will be perfect for her. She’s in good form and is the one to beat.

Sous Les Etoiles won over course and distance and this race has been the plan ever since. She should love conditions; is well drawn and is expected to go close.

Marbaan is a lovely two-year-old who couldn't have been more impressive at Nottingham. He should love the step up to seven furlongs and I am hoping he can win today before moving into something decent.

Down the field in the Britannia Stakes last time out here but fluffed the start a bit that day. Less competitive here down in grade but does like it here - course winner here two runs back by an easy 3l. Fine on the quicker ground too and has done well over the last 3 weeks. Looking forward to a solid run.

Tequila won nicely last time out and so comes here in good form. She should love the conditions and the track will be perfect. 

Just work in progess after a few average runs since being gelded. Seems to have improved at home though for his recent runs off a break and after lookin a bit one-paced we feel the step up in trip here will help. Hoping Hayley can provide fresh approach from the saddle too, while no reason why the Kempton track won't suit. Hopeful of better with a small e/w chance, but the Prescott and Varian runners look to set the standard.

Katyusha needs rain to run. Newbury will suit her well and she can build on her last run over 10 furlongs if the ground is ok.

Sir Min didn’t get home last time out at Goodwood so we drop back in trip which will suit. He seems in good form at home and is more than capable of winning of this mark.

Lasting Legacy did well when runner-up to a fast-improving three-year-old at Salisbury last time. She has bottom-weight here, made even more attractive by Harry Davies' 5lbs claim. Great chance.

Pirate King disappointed last time at Epsom but he had been running well without quite managing a win, on all-weather. This trip might stetch him but at a massive price he might be worth a small wager in the extra places market anyway.

Wynter Wildes won easily at Hamilton and was then just edged out in a sustained battle at Nottingham. Up again in trip, we would have more confidence in her chance had she not been drawn out in the car park. Each-way hopes anyway.

Ran really well last time out at Newmarket on a track that I don’t think suits him. He should love newbury and is in cracking form at home.

Is a lovely filly who I hope has a bright future. I like starting my better ones at Newbury as it’s a very fair track. The ground should be perfect too. The only negative is an awful draw out on the wing so we will drop in and ride her to finish the race

Trav has taken an age to come to hand this year but he looks great now and has been working well. Draw not been kind but I would be disappointed if he doesn’t run a nice race

Vadream ran far too fresh at York last time out but it was her first run in a while and she can be forgiven that. She absolutely loves Ascot and should be spot on for this. She is a lively outsider in a very strong sprint

Made a lovely debut at Yarmouth in a very hot race. They went steady that day and we were too far back to make a challenge but he ran on really well. This is a very tough race but we weren’t far behind the 2nd fav and he is over priced. He won’t run unless the track gets rain.

Moved to my yard at the beginning of the year and this is a very tough first assignment. I would have loved to have got a run into him but he has had a few niggles which has prevented that from happening. His work has been good but I have major concerns over the ground today as his action suggests he wouldn’t want it too quick

Never went a yard at Epsom last time and it was only in the last 2 furlongs that he picked up the bridle and decided to put some effort in. Unsurprisingly we have gone for the headgear today and he looked great when he cantered in it recently. If they have the desired effect he could run a big race.

Has always been a filly I have loved. We tweaked things a bit last time out and it looked like we found the key. She should love this track and the stiff mile is perfect. This race has been the plan for a while and she is my best chance of a winner this week.

Chiefofchiefs loves ascot and has his perfect conditions today. He didn’t come off the bridle in the Victoria cup last time out as he never got a clear run. He has to be ridden cold, so will need plenty of luck in running, but all the ability is still there.

Ejtilaab has run very consistently all year, but his runs recently have suggested that he is ready for a step up in trip. He handles quick ground, although I think he is better with cut. We won’t ride him quite as aggressively today.

Atrium is unbeaten at ascot so this race has been the plan for a long time. He has had a clear preparation and looks fantastic. The Brittania is one of the hardest races of the week to win, but we go there with a cracking chance.

Won a shade cosily at Sandown the other day and the resulting penalty got him into this race. He looks a picture, has take the race perfectly and has got his absolutely perfect conditions today (big field, a mile, quick ground, stiff track). If he has got over his run at Sandown he can run well today.

Sous Les Etoiles had two nice runs on all-weather over the winter and then we gave him a bit of time to grow and he's made up into a nice horse. I think he will be better on turf and he will love the track and ground. Very hopeful.

Has taken an age to come to hand this year but he is getting on a bit! However the last month he has turned inside out and he looks a picture now and that has been reflected in his work. He has won over course and distance and we have a very talented apprentice up taking 5 off his back. Can go well.

We've probably all got the Boughey horse to beat but we are not without a chance and hopeful of a fair e/w showing regardless. A close second last time at Wolverhampton and has been keeping on well in his races to suggest the step up to 1m2f is worth a go. Should have place claims with the horses running well overall at the moment.

Second run for us after coming from the Mark Johnston yard. 4 turf wins to her name but was down the field last time at Bath on debut for us. Needed it that day so will be fitter here and we put the cheekpieces on today too. James a plus in the saddle and better expected too up to 6f. We'll find out more here today, but certainly feel she can leave that last run behind.

Is progressing at the rate of knots at the moment and was very impressive last time out. This looks like a very competitive race but she is still ahead of her mark and can go well today.

Is trying turf for the first time today and should suit it much better than wolves. Ground is ideal and the step up to 6 should be fine.

Made a lovely debut at Nottingham about a month ago and has trained well since then. He should like this track and the ground is perfect. They all have him to beat.

Inchbae was very disappointing at Windsor and is much better than that. I think the switch to the all weather will help but she has major questions to answer.

Lightening Shore has been disappointing in his two runs for us so far. I have absolutely no idea what his trip is so we are trying something different today. The draw will help him

Needs it as soft as possible. They had 23mm rain over night so ground will be perfect and Buick is riding out of his skin.

Has been waiting for soft ground and finally gets it today. Track will suit and he has the right jockey riding on his birthday.

Ran well at Windsor two runs back, but in a slighty better race at Chester last time just got a bit hampered and didn't settle as we'd have liked. The hood remains on today and back in grade here will help, plus has been dropped a pound in the ratings too. The Scott horse to beat but we'd come here with a nice e/w chance. 

Has run well this season in three runs - winning once, with that coming at Chelmsford in April. Wasn't disgraced in a Listed race since too. Trip and track will be fine for her and seems well at home after a month off the track. Tight little race with the Simcock runner respected, but we head here not without a squeak.

Nice horse but first run here today - bred to get the trip and could even get further in time - we'll see. Very much a learning curve for the horse today with the Gosden runner already setting a good standard.

Similar to the first race with a hot favourite in that is the likely winner. But if that one performs below par we'd have a squeak after a good second here last time at Chelmsford. Up 5lbs for that so more needed but was only second run back from a break and also from being gelded. Each-way.

Favourite here might be hard to beat but our filly will be better for a recent run at Nottingham and has been dropped 2lbs for that. We feel getting her back on the AW will help too and trying her over 1m4f today as well. Not a race with much depth so we'd like to think we'd have place chances here if lasting the trip.

Diavolo got colic on his way to Doncaster last time out and has therefore had a long time off the track. He is fit and ready to go. Should love this track and any rain is a positive.

Is a nice filly that hasn’t been give a hard time in either race this year. She can step up now handicapping

Has improved with every start and he will definitely need to take another big step forward today. The positives are we know he handles the track, and the form of the Epsom derby trial has worked out well. He has stamina to prove however.

Has proved frustrating after a really promising start. He should love the track today and the ground is perfect. If he disappoints today then I will really be scratching my head.

Ran a huge race at York last time out where he was drawn in the car park. Draw today has only been slightly kinder but he is clearly still ahead of his mark.

Ran on at Bath a while ago but my horses weren’t quite firing back then and I am sure she has improved since. Still a small question mark over 5 furlongs but she shows so much speed at home that I think she will be fine. Any rain would be a negative although she would probably be pulled out.

Back from almost a year off so no matter what will improve for this. But is well at home and a horse that goes well fresh so the break isn't too much of a worry. William Buick booked to ride too and would have small e/w claims with the in-form Spencer horse looking the main player.

Nice 2yo colt that is having his debut here today. We feel this is a good place to start him off over 7f but likely to get further in time. Looking forward to a nice intro but the Godolphin and Gosden runners expected to be more forward at this stage.

Nice draw in 1 and back on the turf will suit - has only had 5 career runs and only win so far came on the grass at Leicester. Dropped in grade here will help and 3lbs lower than opening handicap rating too. Ground and track are fine so should have an e/w chance here.

Ran really well at Beverley when bumping into a nice filly that was race fit. She took that run very well and is ready to go again. This looks a very tricky race - however, with plenty of fillies there with decent form.

Katyusha has been a very frustrating filly to train as her work at home is much better than she shows on the racecourse. She seems to travel well in her races but then lacks a turn of foot. We are trying a new trip today and hopefully that will do the trick.

Sir Min ran really well last time for the step up in trip and it looks as though we might have found the key to him. He has the ability to win off this mark and Hollie is a great jockey booking. He has a good draw today and he should enjoy the track. Great chance.

Won well at Nottingham two runs back - failed to build on that at Chelmsford last time over 7f but didn't get the best of runs that day to be fair. Up in trip again here will help and also being back on the grass too. Some more rain might have helped a tad, but should be okay on the ground, while the useful Benoit De La Sayette booked to ride to claim 5lbs helps and would have an e/w chance in an open race.

Ran well for a long way at Lingfield before tiring late on. He showed plenty of speed that day so we feel a step back in trip will suit. Still has plenty of questions to answer so this is very much a fact-finding mission.

Has hit the crossbar three times now but run well every time. She travelled brilliantly at Wetherby before seemingly not getting home behind a winner that has franked the form in a big way. This drop in trip will suit and she has a lovely opening handicap mark

Ran much better last time out when not given a hard time at Kempton. This track should suit and he is on a decent mark. I just hope the ground isn’t too quick.

Made a lovely debut for my yard at Nottingham and David felt he had more than enough speed to drop back to 7 if we wanted. He has to prove he likes the surface but he has a lovely draw and can go well if the trip isn’t too sharp.

Ran a good race from an impossible position in a red hot maiden last time out. Her run can be upgraded there as she was the only one the make ground from off the pace. She should love the track and ground and can go well today

Has been very frustrating to train as I’m not sure he is the toughest. His best from has been at Chelmsford and hopefully he will enjoy the step up in trip. A decent draw was crucial to his chances.

Ran a really good race at Chester against significantly superior opposition. She drops back into her grade today and has conditions to suit. She is technically 3lbs well in but the handicapper could easily have put her up more. I am surprised her price isn’t shorter.

Fluffed his lines last time at Southwell but the race has worked out well and I think he is much better on turf with some cut. He should love conditions today and can run well.

Is a lovely 2yr old with a bright future. This race will be very strong but he should love conditions and run well.

Everything went wrong at Musselburgh last time out where a wide trip over too far meant that he ran appallingly. His work this year has been much better than that and I am convinced that was just a blip. Drop to 12 will suit and he should like this track. They had a fair bit of rain in Newmarket yesterday so I hope the ground hasn’t gone to soft

Has had a really good prep and comes here fresh and fit. Last year we spent the first few months trying to get her to stay a mile, whereas this year she has been trained solely to sprint. She only needs to improve a tiny bit to be top class

Had a really good winter and comes here race fit. Newcastle did not play to his strengths last time out as it favours horses ridden patiently and they went very hard in front. This track will suit him much better and any rain would be a plus.

Ran well in two maidens this spring but nothing really went right (no cover at Newbury). He should appreciate this step up in trip and has to go close off this mark today.

Made a lovely debut at Yarmouth last year in a race that has worked out well. This trip should suit and she is a strong traveller so I hope she will like the track. She should go well today.

Is a nicely bred filly who has taken her time to come to hand but is very much ready for a run now. She will stay further than this in time but conditions are perfect for her to make her debut. I doubt she will be beating the fav today but I would be disappointed if she doesn’t run with plenty of promise.

Lasting Legacy ran really well in a listed race last time out on ground that would have been far too quick. She is back in the right grade now and will love conditions. She can go well today.

Ran 3 solid races over an inadequate trip this winter and has since had a holiday. The step up in trip will suit, as will a switch to the grass, but I do think she will come on for the run

Chiefofchiefs absolutely loves Ascot and I am convinced he never got his optimum conditions last year despite running consistently. Today he has his optimum conditions (quick ground and 7 furlongs). His prep run was perfect and he can go well today.

Made a lovely debut over course and distance 3 weeks ago. This looks harder but she will have learnt plenty and she should be thereabouts

Ran really well at Musselburgh when fluffing the start and giving himself absolutely no chance. This track is Taylor made for him. He too can go well.

Made a lovely return at Windsor on ground that will have been plenty quick enough. She is well drawn and will love conditions. She can go close today.

Seasett won nicely at Nottingham and looks a good buy. He will love the ground and has plenty of speed - however, the draw has not been kind so he will need a little bit of luck in-running based on that.

Was drawn in the car park last time at Kempton and is drawn widest of all today too. Luckily there is just 6 runners so that’s not as significant but it could have been kinder. She beat the fav last year and is handicapped to go well.

Was very frustrating last year and should have won a couple of times. She has loads of talent but an equal amount of temperament! If she wants to she will win this with her eyes closed but that’s a big if!

Runs well at Chester and will love the soft ground. The one big question mark is whether he will stay this trip but every time he has run there he has looked like he wants further so there is some hope he will.

Benedict was very disappointing last time out and we aren’t sure why. He will be ridden patiently and hope the hood switches him off better than last time.

Is shooting for the stars today and needs a miracle to feature. Step up in trip and cut in the ground will suit though

Via Serendipity won over course and distance last year and this has been the plan for a while. He had a nice pipe opener at Newmarket and should have improved for that run. Hopefully he can go close today

Is a new recruit bought at the end of last year. I’m hoping the drop in trip will get him back on track and the addition of headgear should help sharpen him up. His work has been good at home but he needs to do it on the track.

Lasting Legacy made a lovely stable debut when winning at Chelmsford 3 weeks ago. In theory she has no right to be in this race today but I have been pleased with her home work and with only 4 in opposition, she has a decent chance of picking up some black type against horses that are all making their seasonal reappearances.

Is a filly I have always loved and her work this spring has been excellent again. The track and the ground are perfect - however, I have one major concern which is the trip. Everyone tells me she will stay (her rider and Jamie Spencer) but I am yet to be convinced - we will find out today.

Fair debut run at Yarmouth last October - has done well over the winter and we feel the step up to 1m2f will suit. Looks an above average race though and a lot of unknowns about the others, but hopeful of a step forward here and she'll be a horse to note this season with some more runs.

Travesarus ran well in maidens last year that have worked out particularly well. We think he is well handicapped and conditions today should suit. I am surprised by his price too.

Is a superstar but is yet to do it on turf for me. I think that is just bad luck and am convinced he will be better suited to turf. The contours of the track should hold no fears as he has no problem with Lingfield

Has improved and improved with every run. He needs to take another big step forward but couldn’t have been more impressive last time. I think he will handle the track and they do an excellent job with the ground. He is a big price considering.

Loves Kempton and is well drawn. This is a prep run for bigger and better things in the next couple of months but he will still run well today.

is beautifully bred and should have plenty of speed for 5 furlongs. She is a nervous little filly so won’t be knocked around on debut. She has a lovely draw.

Didn’t handle Lingfield at all last time out so ignore that run. This track will suit her much better and she remains well handicapped.

Strength and Honour made a really encouraging debut at Leicester a few weeks ago and should improve plenty for that. This looks like a tight little race but I would like to think he will be going close today

Nice colt that is progressing well. Returned earlier this month to run 5th at Nottingham and has come out of that race well. We expected a bit better the last day, but the slow pace wasn't ideal there. Only third career run so will have more to offer and won't mind conditions. Could be a hot little maiden, but no surprise to see him go okay here with more pace in the race expected.

Ran well at Chester last season after coming to us from the Andrew Balding yard. Has only had two runs for us - both solid showings, but back in at the deep end a bit here in a very competitive handicap. Hayley rides and knows the horse well and the mile is fine - will have more to offer with just 8 career runs, but expected to improve for the run today.

Won twice on the AW around this time last year. Went up in the ratings as a result and struggled a bit to build on those wins but did run in some competitive staying handicaps. Down a pound on his return here helps and trip/ground are fine. Small e/w chance, but likely to improve for the run no matter what.

Nice filly that progressed well last season. Ended up running in the G1 Cheveley Park at HQ in Sept and didn't get the best of runs that day. Got stronger over the winter and we feel this step up to 7f is what she wants. Looking forward to seeing her going again and Jamie knows her well. Place claims, but a filly to follow this season.

Open race but the horse is well and has had a nice winter break. Last seen winning at Newcastle at the start of November on the AW. Stayed on well so the step up to 1m here will suit and return to the grass is fine. Should have a decent e/w chance.

Ejtilaab was very impressive at Kempton last time out and really seems to be blossoming right now. He has won over course and distance and is top rated in the race so he comes here with a favourites chance

Mountain Brave was bought specifically with this race in mind. We think that she has more than enough speed for 5 furlongs and if she can pick up some black type then she is worth more than we paid for her. She looks great and her work has been good.

Had a great year last year winning twice and running well consistently. He has had a well earned break since then and comes her a fresh horse with conditions to suit. That said he will definitely improve fitness wise for the run.

Iconique had a tough year last year as we were always playing catch up after she picked up an injury in the spring. She still managed to win a decent race at Yarmouth before finding a very good race at Newmarket too much. This looks like a lovely starting point and hopefully she is ready to rock and roll

Atomise did really well last year, running a huge race from a horrible draw in the Redcar 2yr old trophy before winning her maiden at Leicester. She starts life off a very fair mark and despite a poor draw, can go close today

First run for us after coming from the Chris Fairhurst yard. Has settled in well and even though we'll know more after today has pelnty of experience with 14 runs (3 wins) and seems well at home. Should not be far away and a horse to note in this sort of grade.

Katyusha has got more than enough ability to win a race like the one tomorrow but she would not be the most straightforward filly in the world. A big field will suit her as will the ground and I’m hoping she has come back fresh and revitalised from her holiday.

Made a lovely debut last year before getting everything wrong at Donny on his second start. He had a load of excuses that day and I am confident he can put that run behind him. 7 furlongs around a bend should be fine and he looks well in himself.

Seasett is a new addition to the yard so today is a fact finding mission. We know he likes the track and ground so I am hoping he can repeat the trick of last year. He looks a picture and his work has been great.

Loves Lingfield and seems in good form. There are no secrets really with him but I am happy that he is as good as ever and that should put him thereabouts.

Has run well over the winter on the all weather but was always going to be better suited to turf. This looks like the perfect race for him as track and ground should suit well. He should be competitive off this mark.

Looks great and has done plenty of work but this is a real fact finding mission and he has been drawn in the car park which won’t help. Probably one to watch.

Is a horse I have always loved and was delighted with his debut last year. He has done well through the winter and will love the ground and step up in trip. He can go well

Injazati had a great year last year improving with every run and we are hopeful that there is still more to come. I didn’t think he got home over 12 furlongs at the end of last year so we have dropped back to 10 for his first run of the season. He will love the ground and the track should suit.

Is a big laid back individual who has taken a lot of work to switch on. I expect him to improve dramatically for his racecourse debut, so he might be more of a longer term project

Easy With Aces improved with each start last year and starts life in handicaps off a nice mark. He should love the ground and the step up in trip will suit. He can go well on handicap debut

Is our first 2 year-old runner of the year so it's very difficult to know exactly how good he is. His work at home has been pleasing and he is switched on enough to run a nice race on debut.

Wynter Wilde’s won a 4 runner race last time out that at the time looked like weak form, but I will have a large bet it turns out to be a decent race. The second has already won and both the other horses were fancied. My filly remains well treated on 63 and can go well today in a trappy race for the grade

Has done absolutely nothing wrong so far and clearly loves his racing. He should love the ground and track today and I think he will be better on turf. He can go well in a hot race

Won impressively on stable debut and then everything went wrong at Newcastle last time out where a slow pace and too much daylight caught him out. This race will be run to suit and I expect a much better performance today.

Surrey Knight is a lovely horse in the making and is ready for his racecourse debut. 10 furlongs will be on the sharp side in the long run, but this is the perfect starting point for him as he will love the track and ground.

Ejtilaab has been running really well in Dubai and definitely brings the best form to the race. However, this is a stepping stone to the all weather championships finals so there is no need for him to have a really hard race today.

Made a lovely debut before a massive trainer effort in jumping up half a mile in trip on his second start. This should suit him much better - he is well drawn too and can go well.

Is ultra consistent on the AW but ideally needs a decent pace to aim at, which frustratingly he hasn't had recently. He is well drawn and loves going left-handed so hopefully he can go well today.

Has run consistently to date and looks like she has more than enough ability to pick up a race like this. The mile should suit well, we just have to hope there isn’t a really decent unraced one in here.

Made a lovely debut on dirt at Meydan last time out. I think this race is weaker and he doesn’t have much ground to make up to be there at the finish. His price looks very big to me

Ran really well over course and distance a few weeks ago and this has been the plan since then. He is in great form and has Ryan Moore doing the steering. He must have a solid chance.

I made a mistake by dropping Wynter Wilde’s back to 7 furlongs last time out as she found everything happening just a bit too quickly for her. The mile at Newcastle is absolutely ideal and this track should play to her strengths nicely. This has been the plan for a long time.

Very happy with his debut run at Southwell last month - played up a bit before going into the stalls but during that race ran on well to take second and the winner looks a fair sort too. Has come out of that race well and we feel the step up from 1m to 1m4f is worth a crack after how he finished last time. Will need to behave at the start better and taking on four other promising sorts but we are happy with him and he's a nice prospect. Should go well.

Has run two very solid races to date showing an above average level of ability. He will need to step up again to win today but shouldn’t be far away.

Ejtilaab ran very well in Dubai a couple of weeks ago and being a big horse, I have no doubt he will have improved for that run. The big question mark is dirt but his run style suggests he might enjoy it and we think it’s worth a shot. He is a massive price in my opinion.

Has been a touch disappointing recently so he had a few weeks in a paddock to freshen him up. He seems in good order at home and has a nice draw so hopefully he can go well today and get things back on track.

Loves Wolves and is in great form. Tadleel was impressive last week but this race is very diffferent. He can go well.

Ran great at Wolves last time on a track that wouldn’t suit. This place will suit much better but there would be a slight question mark over the ground. He looks amazing.

Would have finished a lot closer last time out had she had a clear run. She has the best form coming into the race but we don’t know what the unraced ones are like.

San Francisco Bay was very disappointing last time out and we have absolutely no idea why. Hopefully it was a blip after a long time off and the step up in trip should suit.

Dubious Affair came back lame after Newcastle hence the time off. She should love this track and the ground. She stays further than this so hopefully they go a decent pace.

Is a really good looking gelding with a bright future. He will definitely improve for further but is ready to make his debut. He has a lovely draw and should run with plenty of promise
