We bought Areeha, a Shadwell filly, out of Sir Michael Stoute's stable at Tatts' February sale. She has been running well without managing to get her head in front but maybe Ryan can get her over the line. That would be nice as she's in the December sale.

Larry has been lightly raced the past couple of seasons but made a promising return at Fakenham, taken out late on by a  loose horse when still in contention. He is much lower in the handicap than previously and runs well here so could spring a surprise.

Ex-French Nassalam started his juvenile career with two impressive wins and was far from disgraced when tenth of 22 under top-weight on his final start in the Boodles Handicap Hurdle at the Festival. We got Porticello from France after he easily won a 22k to the winner juvenile hurdle at Auteuil in the spring. We are hopeful he can make a winning start for us today.

Legends Ryde is out of a mare who won the Mares' Final at Newbury. She won a bumper and was then second in the Listed bumper at Cheltenham before Covid interrupted her progress. Anificas Beauty has shaped promisingly on both starts and as a daughter of Exceed And Excel should like the all-weather. The favourite will be tough to beat but our filly could easily challenge for a place.

Hey Frankie is not from the greatest of families but there are some winners in there. He has taken a long time to come to hand and will need the experience today. He looks one for further down the line.

Dark Shot used his early pace to dominate at Catterick yesterday and won with a bit in hand. That made it a hat-trick and if he's none the worse when we trot him up this morning he'll go for the four-timer and I wouldn't put it past him.

Purple Ribbon is very unexposed and I am hopeful there is more improvement in her. Newcastle will suit her well and the step up in trip should be perfect too. Should go close.
