Arbennig is by the four-time Ascot Gold Cup winner, Yeats and out of a winning sister to the Grade 1 winning Rubi Light, who won the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase, and was rated 168! He was 3rd on his racecourse debut in a bumper at Hereford, in a race which is working out quite well. He hasn't quite clicked in three novice hurdles over 2m, but he's had a wind operation through the winter, and he promises to make into a handicap chaser. However, he was almost taken out by a loose horse on handicap debut at Chepstow 2 weeks ago, and so was pulled up mid race. He should have a decent each way chance here today.
