Champanshype is a prolific winner, having won 8 of his 22 starts under rules. Having won six handicap hurdles, he won on chasing debut in impressive fashion last summer. However, he rather scared himself over fences, and although placed on his next two starts, he didn't look a natural chaser. Back over hurdles he was a good 2nd off a mark of 137 at the end of last season. He always needs his first run of the summer, and he did again this year at Cheltenham last month. He is now in great order, and down in class, with blinkers on, I think he has a good chance of running into a place here.
