Top winner for Oliver. Original quote: "Whats Occurring - Gavin - as he's known at home - won a couple of early season novice hurdles last autumn on his favoured good ground. I thought he ran a blinder in the Gerry Fielden (a Listed hurdle) at Newbury when finishing fifth last season too. With hindsight I lost him after that run, he’s a tall horse who was on the weak side and I don’t think he recovered fully from the exertions in the conditions. I gave him a break after that and then tried to pick up another lower grade race to boost his confidence but with a double penalty and a rating of 127 there is no such thing. Gavin is a horse that is still improving though and I’m not certain what his best trip is yet because he was weak last season, his schooling has been good ahead of this chase debut and he does run well fresh so if his jumping holds up not without a squeak in an open-looking race."
