Republican hung violently to the right in his last race at Huntingdon having travelled extremely well early on. We have checked his back & teeth he’s seen a chiropractor and has had massages, nothing major has come to light so I have to hope it was a one-off. Republican has ability and he’s continued to school and work nicely since, he can be a bit of a playboy at times and maybe he was just being a goon. Not a race with much depth, with the Nicholls horse seemingly setting the standard, but if behaving himself then we are not without a small e/w chance. 1 1/2 stars.
