Ran on really well to win this for the Oliver Sherwood yard. Original quote: "This will be his first run over fences and his second race since a major wind operation. He’s a stunning looking horse who has been disappointing so far in his races but he was found to have a serious wind issue and due to ground he has only had one outing since so it’s impossible to know how successful it has been. As you know it sometimes takes horses a couple of runs to gain confidence and realise they can breathe properly again. We decided to send Roger chasing because his schooling has always been very good at home and if he can enjoys fences he will find it easier on his wind than hurdling. Over hurdles horses tend to go a good gallop and quicken off it and there isn’t so much emphasis on the jumping whereas chasing is much more about rhythm. Roger is a kind horse at home, he’s generally good to ride but he can be easily wound up if something upsets him."
