Another top run from a Oliver Sherwood horse on the day. Original quote: "Jersey Bean has run over fences three times previously and his jumping has been good but a bit too careful - but been second twice so not a bad start for him over the bigger obstacles. Bean went over to Henrietta Knight a month ago where he did some intensive schooling and she suggested we try blinkers on him, not because he is ungenuine but to get him to concentrate more on his fences, we have used them on him at home and his jumping is more accurate as a result. Bean has ability but he’s not the biggest horse and when the handicapper had him in his grip he was unable to shoulder the big weights in lower grade hurdle races but he found bigger races a bit too competitive. Bean is a cheeky horse by nature, a bit of a playboy but harmless. He will be ridden by Brendan Powell. If the blinkers help in the race then another of ours with place claims today."
